Screen Capture not working on Energy rom? - HTC Amaze 4G

I saw this thread about a couple weeks ago and I believe it has not been solved
other than re-flashing the rom.
Based on the fact that a lot of custom rom flashers tend to
freeze all the bloats with titanium backup or other method,
please make sure that you have not froze "Scribble.apk"
if you do, screen capture on energy rom tweaks will no longer work.
I just found out while updating the latest energy rom.
thanks for the great rom bytheway.

I have the same problem. Nothing is frozen under Titanium. I flashed the ROM twice to no avail. I just downloaded Sreenshot It from the Market from now.

Missing market apps

This happened after I installed the latest bionix Rom.
I'm missing most of my market apps. I'm not sure what happened. I reflashed the rom a few times(gps) and after the initial start up I had them all, after I flashed it again, the apps were gone (most of them). I know I'm not the only one and there is a way to fix it, but can't remember where to look. Thanks in advance.

ROMs unstable after reboot

So I got an Evo 3D GSM a few days ago and upon installing a custom ROM on it, the phone worked perfectly up until the first reboot. At which point it began to reboot frequently so I reverted back to stock and it was fine. I then tried another ROM though from the same developer and once again it was fine up until the first reboot and then again it became unstable.
At this point I know it could just be that I used 2 different Sense 3.5 ROMs from Shooter that's been causing the problem but unless that's a known issue which I couldn't seem to find, I'd rather not install another ROM just to test this out.
Basically I'm wondering if I could be doing something wrong, I installed it through ClockworkMod Recovery which never gave me problems on my Nexus One. Also if I'm going to test if it's just an issue with the ROMs, can anyone suggest a stable and relatively customizible ROM?
Are you doing a clean install, full wipe?
Also, are you loading apps and settings back into the phone from Titanium or the like?
Ya when I attempted to do it non-clean it was unstable off the bat. The last time I basically wiped everything. I have been using Titanium Backup to restore apps but I also used it on stock(I backed up from my Nexus originally) and it hasn't given me any problems there.
Try flashing the rom first again and this time don't use tb to restore data to apps. I've seen and read quite a few times that tb can cause all kind of weird problems when restoring data+apps. Try just restoring just the apps and see if the issue still remains.
#Root-Hack\Mod*Always_
""Shooter on Deck""
I went through the apps I don't need first and removed the backups, I never did restore data, just apps. MikRunny seems to be running stable so problem solved though I still don't know if it was ROM related or just an app screwing with it.
if you flashed a new ROM, it was probably the ROM since it is working now, seeing as how you didn't restore any of your data. logically, that sounds right to me.

Well I had tried two different ROMs before and never restored Data, kinda strange but it appears to be fine now so I'm not complaining.

problem installing new roms

Hello there.
Let's begin with saying that i have changed a few ROMs and i know the basics of installing them. I'm no pro but i can install them.
The problem began when i wanted to upgrade my litening ROM. Before this i installed like ~6 different roms and i never had problems installing them. Since i tried last time it looks like whatever i do no rom can be installed on my phone anymore, except litening 3.2/3.4 but the problem with them is that any app i restore with titanium backup they just don't work. They open.. stay like that and then it gives me an error or simply exits. After that i tried installing ~4-5 roms but 1 bricked my phone.. i managed to get back on feet... ~3 others gave me that 'aborted' error when started installing.. etc.. What happened to my phone? Or what should i do to be able to install other roms? Now i just have the litening 3.4 with no apps.. only contacts.
Try to install a stock rom with odin first and then try to custom roms.

Open the zip file from your computer. 'aborted' error usually caused by corrupted incomplete zip so you should get an error by simply opening the zip file. If it did not give you any error what so ever, flash the resurrection edition of CM9 via Odin.
ok i will install later the cm9 and after that i will install again some custom roms and i will see what happens. Thanks.
PS: all the archives of ROMs work. so the abortion is not from an incomplete file.

More detail please.
Does the abort say something about status 7? Or any other status? Or any other detail at all????

You can try to Backup first everything and do a factory reset of the phone. After wards install stock ROM first then root using CF root kernel then do full wipe.
HIT THANKS IF IT HELPS YOU IN ANYWAY!!!
remember that cm9 doesn't support tb which could possibly cause the issue since you use it to restore apps. almost all roms are using cm9 framework which also means tb might not work. i suggest you keep ur apks and data on pc and manually reinstall them instead of using tb.

Crashing since yesterday's update?

I have been using Omega rom for many months however recently the phone started to lag very bad, so I tried updating it to the latest update of Omega, however there was no improvement even after a clean fresh install.
So I decided to go back to a stock rom not realising I needed certain functions that only a custom rom provides.
However ever since the loading of the stock rom and re-rooting the phone, every custom rom I have tried, Omega and Sensation, after start up when installing the rom, within 5min the phone just crashes and I cannot do anything unless I take the battery out.
Why would this crashing keep occuring and what could I do to resolve this issue?
Just tried tried flashing Sensation again and installed fine but within 2mins of completing the install, it crashed and I had to take out the battery and reinsert to finish my first time setup, which this time completed.
I then allowed the phone to reload apps trhough google play and within 5mins of installing it again crashed although the charging icon is moving but I cannot select anything on the screen...

did you try full wiping ur s3 and then reinstall omega

When you say full wipe, do you mean through CWM?
I did wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik.
Installed rom will full wipe selected.
After installing, wipe data and cache again.
Still crashing...
Omega problem ask in the Omega thread makes a lot more sense .

I had the same issue with Android Revolution.
Since reverting to stock rom, things seem fine now...

Turning on Wi-Fi loop

HI guys,
My tablet is giving me issues with my wifi all of the sudden.
It was working fine and now it just says Turning on Wi-Fi... this never stops.
I have a Huawei Mediaoad S7-301u
Any ideas how I can get my wifi back up and running?
A restart should do. If you don't have to do this too often. All custom roms for the Mediapad should exhibit this fom time to time, stock rom is too long gone to remember, but if you're still using it you found the answer for that.
Usually it should happen after wakeup from standby, and if it occurs several times a day, another rom may perform better, also increasing screen timeout should help.
If wifi is completely gone, restore a nandroid backup or recover the stock rom via dload method, if there's no custom recovery, which would prevent that. Custom rom and no backup means doing a clean flash.

I have done a few restarts and I have also reinstalled the same rom. I am starting to think it is the rom, it seemed buggy from the start.
Which rom would you suggest?
Stability-wise it's the older the better. Stock rom and After Silence's CM10(probably gone forever) . He developed the kernel Zyr3x was also using, whose roms got buggier and buggier. Zyr3xs AOKP, maybe, that was my first custom rom on the Mediapad, but I don't remember the bugs there were. Some, but not many.
