Extended battery support - HTC EVO 3D

Is there nay kernels that support an extended battery im not even sure if there is an official eb like there was for the HD2
But from previous experience with my HD2 the extended battery worked but drained to 15% as normal but stayed at 15% for another 7 hrs

this sounds like an issue that may be saved in the battery cache in the overall set up... when installing the new extended battery try booting into recovery and clearing the batte3ry cache then booting into your rom

Sorry i should have been clearer i haven't got an EB yet i have ordered one and am just wondering if the experience will be the same as with HD2
Or if the kernel would recognize the extended capacity

theory states yes it should recognize it... for fazct i don not know for i dont not have one....but the cache should recognize the the larger capacity considering the batteries have a separate bios nowadays

Sounds about right to me will update post when battery arrives

Well after getting THIS Battery
I fully charged it and used it through out the day and after 9 hrs i was still sitting at 75%
Now as previously mentioned on the hd2 the extended battery used to drain to 15% as normal and remain there for several hours
Ironically enough the evo seems to be the opposite it seemed to stay at 85% for a considerable amount of time but 9 hrs of use including playing some games like angry birds draw something general facebook use and some messages seems great could easily get 2 days use from a single charge and only 4.50
Makes phone a big chunky but also quite comfortable

[Q] Battery chart

To be honest i was expecting a slightly longer battery life. Judging from what people write around here their battery life is considerably longer than mine.
I was looking at battery drain chart and was wondering if there is an app or another way i can check what contributes to my phone being 'Awake' as from what i see in the chart it's awake alot. Maybe a bit too much.

Upload a pic of your percentages, that'd help a lot with seeing what your problem is and therefore how to fix it.
Oh god, stop making new threads about the battery life. Your battery life is completely normal. Theres a thread JUST like this posted like 30 mins ago, I'll take my reply off it;

Becuase your phone was in use for a lot of that time.
Normally I get 7-10 hours battery life with my semi-heavy usage.
But yesterday I tested to see if I could get more, I only used the phone for four 5 minute phone calls, tonnes of texts, a little bit of web browsing and a little bit of youtube on 3G and wifi. No games or anything, and the battery still had 40% left after 20 1/2 hours.
But with my normal usage as i said, I get 7 - 10 hours.

long story short. Your battery life is COMPLETELY normal.

Battery life w/ ViperROM + JDU

Just wondering if anyone has discussed anything about battery life with this specific ROM and using Juice Defender Ultimate (or not).
I've done a quick search and didn't find anything and I looked on the viperROM thread and I saw the dev claimed he got 19 hours of battery life on it. I'm only getting around 9hrs on it now.
Any ideas\suggestions?

Try calibrating Ur battery. JDU is good to use. Also grab autostarts and stop apps from running in the background. After calibrating your battery life should almost double.
Sent from my Beastly EVO.. And did I mention it has 3D?
I use JD and Viper and no problems. Not real sure what my battery life is because I don't monitor it that much but if I take it off the charger at 6am by 4pm when I leave work it is usually around 75-80%. That is with probably an hour of podcast listening and a few other things like texts and phone calls. Not a power user but not completely ignored either.
It depends on usage... i ALWAYS make it a whole day. Light usage i made it more then two, with a bad wake lock that drained 20% before i noticed it.
I'm on Viper and I use not juice things. Here's the battery life I'm getting.

Download CPU Spy from the market and see if you have any widgets or apps preventing your phone from going into DEEP SLEEP.

Power saving advice...

I have seen a lot of people talking about horrible battery life and have to simple pointers to get great battery life
#1 underclock to just around 1ghz; I have mine underclocked to 1.08 GHz and am at 7hrs on battery and still around 70% with mild usage a vast improvement from before where I would have 5 hrs and then be at 10%
#2 facebook live stream sync seems to never fully sync I had it set to sync once a day but it would sync for hours and then 30 mins later start syncing again for hours I thought it just was an initial sync thing but it has done it for about 2 weeks now I have been on the same Rom for this time only thing I do is wipe cache and reboot every other day which is sad but whatever cus I really like the friend widget with facebook statuses.
Just wanted to give you guys some advice also in the ics/sense3.6 roms I have noticed V6 supercharger to be a vast improvement on the stock kernel just because of how it regroups app and level the oom at a reasonable level.

I suspect the screen to be a little to good. The density and size our against us I think cus my friends wife has a huge Samsung note and she gets like 9hrs from a full charge so something isn't right.
You have tried what I'm talking about though huh? Cus I noticed a huge improvement by underclocking to 1.08 and 128mhz on the low side also the conservative govner will lag a little at such a low CPU rate but helps to but with on-demand and underclocked I have no noticeable lag

Get juice defender from the market and set up a customized profile. This will turn off your radios when not in use and if you want there is still an option to have it turn on and sync every so often. Works great for me. Today I had 16
hours unplugged with screen on for almost 3 hours and I was still at 49%. This is on an extended battery so take it for what its worth.

Xperia U Battery Life issues

Hello guys,
I flash twice my Xperia U to ICS and I done it well. At frist one, i made without reset factory and the second one with reset factory.
In both cases I got the same problem.
The ICS is draining battery life hard, even in stand by. No mater what, It consumes about 25% for each 4h. Using hard or using nothing.
I instaled GSam Battery Manager and it says its Kernel and Android OS.

When I used gingerbread, my battery lasted almost 2 days easily.
Android version 2.3.7. It lasted 41h and still have 19%.
Please, someone can help? I tried everything i know. No matter if data or wifi is turned on or off, it will consume lot of battery. I tested.
It seens impossible to reach 24h in this situation.
Same here
New ICS su.....
I'd uninstall the task killer and battery defender to begin with, they will drain your battery like crazy.

Try using titanium backup
Freeze all the applications and services which you are not using..
If u do a thorough search in the forumyou wil find the list of services which are safe to freeze
Set maximum cpu usage to 200mhz when screen is off..

I'm not using my U yet, got a sim in it, but still using my old phone for now. I'm running ICS and am getting 12-15 hours battery with less than 10 minutes use. The rest of the time it's in standby, there's a pretty bad battery bug, I've not figured out what causes it. On GB I was getting 15hours medium use (~3 hours) and would still have 40% battery left. Battery info is showing it as awake the whole time it's on standby.
My phone`s original battery lasts for one day in normal use. I bought a 2680mAh battery in eBay and now I can use my phone all day long without any problem.

[Q] My battery drains in 1-2 hours, takes longer to charge...

I have the stock CM10 rom installed, and it usually does something like this that only lasts for a few days and goes back to normal. But this has lasted for almost a month now. As you can see in the pic, sometimes its says charging but doesn't "gain" energy, and when it does in drains extremely quickly. When it is asleep or turned off it still drains. I tried charging it with a different cord, then with my computer. Then I tried using a GS3 cord & adapter, it charged faster, but I couldn't tell how fast it drained since I wasn't using it.
Do I need to replace the battery? If I do, will it cost a lot, because if it does I'm just going to get a Note or DNA....
Try using a battery calibration app, people say to use it when you flash a new rom. Also, it might be an actual problem with the battery itself. Try getting a replacement battery if so. But then again, before you do that try going to stock and see if the problem is still present.

once it charges I'm going to see if that will help. and my son deleted my stock rom (long story), so I'm stuck on jb/ics.
Also its recommended after you calibrate to drain the battery to 0% and then recharge to 100% afterwards. And as far as the stock rom goes, you can restore using Odin and download mode

wow it worked, the battery lasted from 5:30 to 7:10, a new record since I ever brought the device
