[Q] Does Safestrape works on Droid Razr GSM Set SIngapore? - Motorola Droid RAZR

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=WJuxVl9je9U
do this even works for GSM set??? brand new Motorola Droid Razr Singapore Set Glacia White?

No. Safestrap is CDMA only.

Why not use bootstrap? I'm using it on my Malaysian razr and so fast its rather easy to use.

Ok what if something happen to your phone while u flash some wrong staff, boot strape only allow u to boot in to recovery via phone. U are simply screwed if your phone doesn't boot.

You can flash original firmware via fastboot (it's important to choose the right firmware for your phone). Take a look in the development thread.

Because I have the Korean Xt910K which apparently has the same bootloader as the XT912 from Verizon and flashing a different region fastboot file would brick it.
But there has been some sucessful flashes with nandroid backups when just flashig the system
So I want to try a ASIA nandroid and see if it works.
Or unless someone comes along and tell me it wont work, like right now

Korean Razrs dont accept fastboot files for other regions...many bricked their device and since there is no fastbook for XT910K/S, many are sitting with expensive razr ornaments at home hehe

HUGE PROBLEM!!! MDR GSM stuck in fastboot.

So while I was rooting my MDR, I decided to load a new ROM (Artic) but the rom failed and crash. So I tried to flash back to a stock rom.....no dice. At this point in the game, I have no recovery, im stuck on fastboot with "Flash failure" at the top, RSD doesn't see it, and I've tried every fastboot flasher under the sun. I need major help!!!! I can't get anything to work.
UPDATE
Now it won't turn off for me to charge it, no matter what I do.
I am having the same problem too!!
I am waiting for a guy on another forum to send me a GSM restore package to see if that helps, but i feel very doubtful... I think we may need a new phone... (
Fingers crossed we get our phones working!!

I found the files while looking for a solution. They're suppose to be for the American Verizon GSM MDR, but that doesn't matter because RSD doesn't see it.

i followed one of the instruction on this forum how to remove the safestrap. then i format the file sys in mounts and storage on recovery mode.
oh god another safestrap/bootstrap issue..am growing tired of this problem now...
ok can u enter the recovery menu... hold vol up+down and power button at the same time...if u see a list of white text, you are good.
Just download RSD lite from the MOTO site and download a fastboot for your 2.3.6...then restore ur RaZr..

[Q] Question about my MOTO

hi guys, im from GT-I9100 thread. im not quite familiar when it comes to a moto droid but i just have a simple question.
my phone is from verizon Motorola razr XT 912
System version
6.16.211_XT912.verizon.en.US
Baseband version
CDMA_N_05.11.01PLTEDC_U09.11.00
Build number
6.7.2-180_DHD-16_M4-31
Boot loader shows it is locked - im from the philippines and it works for international sims...
i was able to root it but i was wondering what would be the next step in order for me to flash a custom ROM like CM10 or ETC....
i have the BOOTSTRAP recovery on it and since im not quite familiar with MOTO droids, i pretty much dont know the next step to do..
cause im quite afraid to flash a custom ROM, i might brick it or something. i know that i have to unlock the BOOTLOADER of this phone...
can you guys give me the step-by-step procedurs what to do next in order for me to get this phone going same as my S2... thanks in advance guys
The bootloader cant be unlocked. Try to look at the dev section. You ll find good custom roms for your droid without unlocking your bootloader.
ok thanks man. but i think i saw i a video about unlocking the bootloader of this type of phone from Verizon. it looks just like the phone i got right now. but anyway, thanks for the reply. what recovery should i use for installing a custom ROM to this device? is it the bootstrapper or the safestrap recovery?
-------------------------------------------------------------
1.HTC herra 110 - windows mobile
2.HTC G1 - hard bricked while rooting
3.GALAXY GT-S5570
4.XPERIA Acro S
5.GALAXY SII - current
6. Moto droid RAZR XT912 from verizon - working on
Only the developer edition can be bootloader unlocked I think. Well you can use any of them...but some roms can be flashed only with specified recovery (e.g. only with safestrap). I myself use bmm (boot menu manager).
Sent from my semi-bricked XT910...
I'm using xt912, boot loader is unlocked but you can fastboot 2 different official kernel, ICS or JB one to match which custom ROM you want to use. Me use safestrap for now.

You must buy the factory cable or you can make one,it's easy, here's the picture what you have to do
Btw,this cable allows you just to flash the factory rom,not to charge the phone...
Sent from my Razr XT910
Yeah there is a way. Don;t open your phone (like I did) just make/buy a "factory cable" for it and you can charge it while it's on fastboot
EDIT: didn't see the last post before posting. Is your bootloader showing locked? if not then how did you unlock it? I am stuck on the same place and with a bricked phone. made a separate thread also maybe just maybe someone would tell how to get this bootloader unlocked.
*till then money wasted :-/
Droid Razr Un-Bricked
Hey Guys!
I got the factory cable and I was able to use Matt's Utility to get my phone unbricked.
I flashed cyanogenmod 11 nightly and it runs very well.
Thanks for the help
