Just wondering if there's a camera app or something that will let me manually adjust focus? Sometimes I can't get focus where I want it specially on macro.
Thanks!

Guys I have noticed that my Atrix does not focus on something when I'm close to it like 5"-10". Basically I get blury image in camcorder and camera view. Is this normal?

When using the camera, try setting it to "Macro" in the Scenes selection. As for the camcorder, it might take a little time for it to focus on something up close.
I tried macro setting already but it didn't make a difference. How close can you get to lets say page with text on it so you don't lose focus?

I can get right up to 3 inches away, which is about as good as you're going to get with a camera on a phone. Lighting has a lot to do with it as well I think.
well I got the camera to work, I didn't hold the button to focus duh! but the video camera still does not focus upclose. Is the focus automatic or is there a way to focus manualy? How close can you video something with focus?

I think someone has mentioned before that the camcorder on the Atrix is NOT auto focus or continuous focus. It probably won't do close ups.
Can someone make a mod to add manual focus to the camera? It's really annoying with the auto focus when you're close to an object and it focuses back out. Don't tell me you tap to focus, can turn auto focus off, or we have a two stage shutter button, I know all of this and have tried every combination of it. None of it works any better.
Ive always had a problem with the auto focus on near-by objects. When i take the photo in the middle and it starts to focus, it always ends up all blurred. If i turn on macro, it will be too far for the macro to focus properly. Its either i set it on macro and take it really close, or i set to auto focus and position my camera further away. I never had this problem on my old nexus one which always focuses well.
Is there any fix for this? Im sure its something that can be solved on the software side. Or am i simply using the wrong camera settings? I have everything set to auto though.
Hey all; I have found the camera gets confused with focusing in some instances (IE; bug on glass pane) where "Close up" and "Auto" won't focus on the object at any distance at all.
Is there some app that can control camera focus normally?
Thanks!
I'd like to know something for this as well. Macro shots are terrible on this camera.
Just so everyone knows, we're not looking for something with a digital zoom(Since that takes away a lot of quality).
I've tried the stock camera, camera zoom fx, and camera FV-5(This one runs terribly for some reason). FV-5 has a manual focus mode, but it doesn't work very well and is kind of annoying to me.
I think the best chance you really have for getting any decent macroshots is to use a reverse lens or a proper macro lens.
Hi!
I've been trying to create photos and videos about objects that are close to the camera, but the phone always focuses on the background.
Are there any way to get manual focus? (Set lenses manually) - maybe from another device/rom?
I know, there is a touch to focus in photo mode, can be usefull sometimes but not perfect.
If no chance to manual focus, how can I use the Touch To Focus option while video recording? - That can't be hardware limitation, as we can use it in photo mode.
Thanks.
I use single auto focus while shooting video, works quite well for me...
