[Q]Resurrection ROM v9.7 stock LPJ KARNEL - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just want to know should I flash this kernel after ROM installation? theres nothing about that in flashing tutorial. Is that something important? My SGSII works fine with Resurrection 9.7. I installed only gapps and gapps fix and nothing else after.

No, only when you have Market or SD-issues it will be worth a try. But if everything runs fine I should let it this way ;-) and enjoy!

Why you should have to install the alternative Kernel if you have no issues?

Do you know where I can download it (just the stocjk LPJ kernel) in case I want to replace the Siyah kernel for the resurrection rom? Thanks

Or can I just flash the Resurrection ROM over again?

Android browser still can't search for a word on a page, it crashes in Resurrection V1.1

Why did you create 3 threads about basically the same thing.
Looks like you dont have a clue about anything. That will only change with you reading tutorials BEFORE you attempt anything.
I didnt want to spend a week reading about stuff before I did anything with my phones......but there you go.
Sorry about everything...

Bro i have checked there but nothing found about 4.1 official rom so now i am waiting for release of official 4.1 for my phone it will be released on 24 september

Hope you don't think 4.1 wil be much faster than 4.0 ... 4.1 is better, but it needs more power. And your phone is low-spec, so don't expect miracles just because of firmware change.

GB root without custom kernel

Hi, I recently downgraded from ICS back to GB on my ST25a. I was getting poor DL speeds via wifi but normal upload speeds. I am running stock sony rom ST25i_2.3.7_6.0.B.3.184_2.6.35.7+. The only one I could find was for a ST25i, but if you flash without baseband it's all good. I wanted root but found the only way for xperia u running GB was by flashing a pre rooted custom kernel. Which is ok but all of them messed up the wifi. After hours of scouring the net I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/general/root-gb-ics-t2391208 It's basically a one click method and worked for me. I haven't tried it for ICS. Hope it helps someone.
Wait
I'll test it tomorrow
Didn't work with b.100 firmware/kernel, had to flash b.10 kernel and root with flashtool.
Im in stock Gb. 564 And works very good

Kernel for CM 13 Based ROM

I was thinking to use Boeffla Kernel for G900F on G900T on my CM 13 Based ROM. Does it work properly?

It works I've been using it for a few days now but I can't get my head around all them settings. It also Clash's with my closed framework so I'm lookin for something less complex
A little OT but since we're here, is installing CM 13 just a matter of downloading the software and flashing with Odin? I'm rooted on MM. Does my operating system change?
