Only your carrier will know that. No one here will be able to tell you this.

Saw today on a website that 4.0 is being released for the phone.... Has anyone heard when bell is going to get it? Also is there a root and such in play for this?
Thanks all

Answer use CHECKFUS to check the release yourself .

Android 4.0 has been out since mid march... And the Bell i9100 supports all ROMs on these forums. Why wait for the Bell version? It won't come anytime soon I think... We're always 6 months behind in Canada, which is why I buy international phones.
Do you have a link for a no problem bs Ics update?

Stock? There are tons of ROMs all over the place, you can read up in general, all new ICS releases are posted there which are flashable by Odin or Mobile Odin...
If you want Custom ROMs, you have Wanam lite, ICS resurrection, Cyanogenmod 9, etc.etc.etc.etc.
Well since I'm on my phone with out a comp at the moment... So any direct link to an official no bs Ics would be super helpful with lots of rep sent

I was in the same boat. Asia RAZR, GSM. I got tired of waiting so flashed the Europe leak and it worked. I figured we would be last on the list to be updated.
Sigh.. Pshasia from Malaysia, still no sign of ics...

Actually I am capable to flash any of the GSM ICS leaks, but, I prefer to stay in stock.
I rather to have unlocked boot loader than the ICS.

I wish.... I can't wait anymore... My waiting being one year and two months long... If I would wait just more couple of days, and I would not give a sh*t about ics anymore.. Even if it out, I won't install it and I would hate android and Motorola forever... After making my own android fandom.

U know what, f*CK moto.. Tonight after 12 midnight, if I still don't see ics for moto pshasia, i'm flashing over to GB e Europe, and installing ics leak for Europe.
Asian is always kept in the dark on these update. If its delayed, where is the schedule.

ok.. decided to NOT rush things and install leak.. i am giving moto last chance to respond to me. there is no live chat in motorola malaysia, so i wrote in, and motorola support website says they will respond within 24 hours of the next business day.
i'll wait until tuesday.
p/s: i remove my IMEI and email address from the screen capture.

Hi, does anyone have any official news on the release of ICS OTA updates for Asia? Specifically for unbranded GSM? We are officially in Q3 now, but moto's ICS update page still shows Q2 as the expected rollout date!

Development was finished, yes. Testing found an issue that required more work before release. Thus, the delay.
Been hearing from a lot of ppl here that the testing saw some issues that moto is trying to correct. Some even claim that the OTA will be available in a week. But what's the basis for these claims? Has Moto stated anywhere that they are done with development? The official page for ICS uodate news is still not updated. So how can we be sure of all this?

Judging by some people claiming on ics battery life is shorter compared gb.. I hope this is the bug, or one of the many they want to fix before official ota.
Sent from my XT910
I can't say I've noticed any hit on battery life. I did have to recharge it sooner, but since the update, I've used it a LOT more than usual.
i have the asia retail and i just received a notification from motorola, saying that the ics sandwich update will be available the next week its official!!! :fingers-crossed:
i also received the notification pshasiaretail

I toooo get the same update notification
I live in Ireland and on three network.
current Android version: 4.0.4
Current Build Number: I9300XXALE8
I tried to update OTA but "no update available" is what I get.
Then I tried kies and the current version matches the latest version.
I know I'm not up to date as I don't hav the brightness toggle in my drop down menu.
Does anybody know how to fix this??
I really need your help!
Check the update schedule with your carrier.. you have to wait until 3 releases the update..

Do you know how to do that?
I recently read an article on this site and one guy updated his s3 and he was on three, thanks for your help though
If the update isn't available, then your carrier hasn't released it yet. I could 've wrong. Maybe call them up and check?
I live in Australia, and Vodafone recently released an update but it's still not available. It usually takes some time to get to everyone.. just wait a few days..

I guess I could wait. But I didn't even receive the first firmware update released for the s3, and I think that was some time ago. Did you receive any updates yet on your s3?
No.. I'm still on release firmware.. the first of the first.. I'm having so many bugs.. I'm considering flashing an unbranded ROM via Odin.. carriers take forever to update..
