Hi all,
I have a star a3 which I've had for about a week, I am having trouble getting market place to work and also getting rid of the chinese apps. I have read the threads and even posted in another thread but I have not got any help. I have rooted the phone but the qqmobile security is not allowing me full access to superuser and I cannot install apps. Does anyone maybe a back up of the original software but minus the chinese apps with market place ready to go. I'm on 2.3.5

I don't have a copy of the ROM, but i can help you out with a copy of google play and root explorer. Using root explorer you should be able to delete the security app along with all the other Chinese applications (I do have a list of whats safe to delete too)
I bought 12 of these phones, from 2 different suppliers and none of them had this qqsecurity which you are talking about so I am not sure exactly what it does or how to get rid of it. But I can point you to a 2.3.5 ROM for the star A3 that is also minus all the crapware you don't need if you want to go down that route of re-flashing the whole phone.
I would like to have this ROM. How can I find it?

Yea ive also got a star a3 and i cant root in the first place so how did you do it if i know it would be alot of help
As for marketplace try going into manage applications and see if there is google play + google play services if not thats ur problem and also one more thing my a3 was bought last year and it is 2.3.4 and it will not let me update on my friends phone you cam check for updates but here it just says up to date and since there is no pc app for it i just cant update

Hi, guys im new to this forum, I have Star A3 android 2.3 and currently its rooted but now its Stuck at Android Logo and I cant get to recovery mode. Do any of guys know how make it alive again??? Pls your help is appreciated.
Please help...I rooted my korean version Lte SHV -E160S using tegrak kernel build 36 FD05 and uninstalled bloatware using android mate. Now my phone is giving the error dialer has stopped working n m unable to call from the device. I was new to the rooting process and did not know that I had to back up everythimg before rooting so m stuck as I do not have any back up . please please help. also m using this device in India. If the need arises, I am willing to delete all data.:crying:

hello guys Im new here and I have a major problem with a alcatel 4030a I connected it to my PC last night to copy a game on it through the usual procedure and it showed only one drive and it was corrupted and asked to format so I did and now the phone won't turn on and I'm sure its bricked I tried the one touch upgrade software for of and it said wrong model when I click the 4030 in the drop down list It please this mobile is a friends and I need to fix it does anyone know how? thanks in advance

hey guys ! i really need help asap ! so i installed a app called Chainfire3d and i think you know what happened next.
so i installed it and i ended up waiting for nothing, my device wont boot up, i think you guys can help me better than anyone. :crying:

hello all, today i got some mobile i never saw this before.
Mobile is marked as "G710e Android", curently have stock 2.2 Android which i hate!
I came here to try to find is there any way for me to update at least on 2.3.6 version. Please if anyone know i will do anything just to get rid of 2.2.
Mobile have big display which i like so much.
btw i cant find even pc suite for this :S
