Sorry to use Windows language but that's the only one I know.
Is it possible to put a shorcut to a folder (downloads) on the desktop like we can do with Windows ?
Thanks.
Most aftermarket file managers have a widget for that. Astro and FileManager HD do.

Thanks a lot.
I'll check that.
Have a good day.
I second File Manager HD. I think it's the best laid out File Manager for anything 7 inches and up. And it does indeed have the ability to make a shortcut to a specific folder on the home launcher.

Also ES File Explorer can do that.

I had previous asked one of the member to try to set the LCD to 240 and was reported that keyboard will not resize correctly. Do you encounter this issue? If yes, how you resolve it? Thanks.
Also, swap out the wpa_supplicant file under system/bin with the one you can download here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754961
Just open the zip, copy the wpa_supplicant file to the Flyer and reboot. Now I can wireless tether to my D1 as well as have support for all adhoc wifi networks.
Don't forget ad-free

Samba file sharing - you can map the SD card using standard Windows networking steps, even with XP. Kinda fun, browse to the DCIM folder, snap a picture, hit refresh, and open it on your computer.
Dice Player - HARDWARE based .mkv playback for $5. Some 1.5GB 720p w/ subtitles files I downloaded play perfectly without additional recoding steps.

how do u down load movies other than netfleix
Use opera mobile browser to download stuff from the web. You can let it download to default downloads folder or choose the folder you want. It'll also be good to get the free apps called Astro File explorer and ES File explorer. Both are great for needing to move around files or whatever to the location needed.

ttorrent works for me. The search component may not be in the market but you can get it from the developers site.
Use adownloader from the market its Amazing
Hey all i was wondering if anyone knew how to copy and paste it in dolphin hd. I know opera is capable of it...

The NT itself is not capable of Copy/Paste, so it won't work in Dolphin.
What app on NT or setting or ?

This is true for some apps. But cut and paste works for Office Suite Pro just fine.
I also use aNdclip free to store cut and paste work. Again on pastes into certain apps.
You can copy and paste url's using Dolphin Browser HD. You can try to select text but never works.
I also use Read it later to save html pages for reading later on NC or NT or desktop computer.
I also have been taking screen shots and using google googles to process.
I would like to know what app on NT or setting or ? to modify so we can have cut and paste, without waiting for full custom rom.
Swype has working copy and paste.
Opera Mobile also has working copy and paste.

Hi,
1) I tried to look at the video site from OEAMTC (Austrian Touring Club) - http://tv.oeamtc.at -and the stock browser is not able to playback the videos there.
Actually I tried Doplhin and Opera as well, same issue. WIth Mozilla I could finally playback (very laggy) and download the files. They are .webm videofiles and can playback with ALL video Appy I have on my phone. Stock as well as QicPic and MX Player.
I also could playback the files when using the stock internet browser on my Nexus S, so any idea why the stock browser on SGS2 makes troubles on these videos???
2.) When opening the accuweather from the widged, then going to more / details, it always opens accuweather in english, altough I set my preference on accuweather homepage to german. Is there any setting identifying the browser to prefer german????? Any setting in Accuweather application that brings up the webpage in German? haven't found anything.
Thanks
Gescha
Can anyone confirm the behavior??

I found out the following:
.webm files cannot be opened with stock file manager, as they seem not to be known (unknown filetype) altough they are known by Rhytm Software'S Filemanager (and can be opend as Video file) or as they can be associated with Astro File Manager.
Is there any way to tell the Samsuns System that this file is a videofile and should be opend with e.g. MX PLayer? I guess then I can directly stream it from Internet application....
Any ideas?
Can anyone check.. would really like to know if this behaviour is normal...
In the meantime I do not expect that there is a possible fix.

ya there is a way..
go to my files and select any video file..
click on it..
a pop-up should appear asking you which program should be used to play the file..
check the use as default button and then select the mx player..
from now on whenever you play a video.. it will open in mx player unless you open it via gallery
also while streaming online you cant select a particular app through which the browser will play the vid..

Thanks. Actually for general purpose I could link MX Player to the .webm fileformat, and that also works.
For the Samsung Stock file browser as well as internet browser it still and immediately tells: this file type not supported, no program can run it....(and this although on astro file manager its already assigned to MX player.) So not even a chance to assign it by the normal way...

Whats the best method you transfer files amongst two android devices one obviously is this gs3 the other is the samsung epic 4g not rooted so no wifi direct or nfc. Im currently using es file explorer through bluetooth which is okay. With the pc's to look at the Phone im using the es file ftp server with a ftp start shortcut on the home screen. I did see a samba file sharing app but that ony works for me being rooted. Im trying for a uniform approach between both devices and pc's. Is anyone capable of using es file ftp on one phone and seeing it on another phone? Or is there a better smb client?

If you use estrongs on both phones then enable the built in ftp server and use a username and password you will be able to input phones ftp info into opposite phone estrongs and will be able to transfer files between phones and pc's using those ftp's
