When I plug my gtab into my pc, it isn't recognized. On the tablet I get a message"usb debugging connected, but nothing about the usb port being connected. I was able to connect before. The only time it recognizes the usb is when I insert a microusb card and restart the unit. I am currently using bittrix-gb-beta-cm7. Everything else is working.
My Thunderbolt will not stay in disk drive mode. I plug it in to my pc via usb, switch to Disk Drive mode, NOT EVEN A MINUTE LATER it's in Charge Only.

Could be a bad cable, a bad port on your PC, or a bad port on your phone.
Did you try a different cable or port on the computer?
I'm having an issue with my Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 (running on stock Jellybean 4.1.2) no longer connecting to the PC via USB. It had been working fine up until a few days ago.
When I connect the USB cable, it only charges the phone. It doesn't show that it is connected in MTP mode and no USB options appear in the pull down notification bar. I tried locating the phone on the computer in Windows Explorer and the Device Manager, but it wasn't there at all. There also wasn't any unrecognised device in the Device Manager.
I’ve tried the following:
Using different USB cables. Tried two official Samsung cables, a Belkin charge/sync cable and a generic cable
Plugging into different USB ports on 3 different PCs/notebooks (running on Windows 7/8)
Turning on/off USB debugging mode on the phone
Going into Settings>Wireless and networks>USB utilities. After tapping "Connect storage to USB", it will prompt to connect a USB cable even though it is already plugged in.
Booting the phone in safe mode and connecting the USB cable
Installing the latest version of KIES. I had never used the software before but gave it a try. KIES wouldn't detect the phone
Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Samsung drivers
Dialling *#7284# for the PhoneUtil options and checking it was PDA mode under the USB option.
Turning off the phone, removing then re-inserting the SIM card and battery
Cleaning the micro USB port on the phone
I have not made any changes to the phone (or PCs), so I'm not sure what has happened for the USB connection to stop working.
Your assistance would be much appreciated.
That is very weird. Are sure you didn't change the USB connection type?

Definitely sure.
I'm wondering if maybe the micro usb port is damaged, even though there's no problems charging the phone.
That is very possible, the port can be damaged in a way that only allows charging.
Hey guys, My micro-usb was damaged so i changed it with a new one... It didn't work and phone was charging instead of Mass Storage or Debugging mode !
I thought its fake and a bad quality micro-usb so i changed it again and still have the same problem.
I have the same computer, same cable and everything is same, even the programs which i installed in both phone and pc are same, but it wont connect to pc.
My moms phone can be connected with my cable.
Ok, before i change the Micro-Usb, it was fine but not charging as good as normal. I mean at least i was able to upgrade or downgrade my android version )
Can anyone help me ? I already did a factory reset and removed the SD card. No lucks ... ( i also tried other cables and other computers, but the problem is ONLY with my damn phone )
I'm running Android 4.0.3 KH3
I have Samsung Galaxy S2 on stock 4.1.2 ROM and have bought a USB OTG cable. I connect my USB flash drive onto USB OTG cable then connected the cable to my phone and it shows a message USB mass storage is connected. When I open My Files app, I cannot find any way to access my USB. Am I doing something wrong?
Edit: Solved, tried another USB and it worked.
I have an android device with OTG support, the problem is when I connect a flash drive its okay, works fine, but when I connect my android phone it just charges the phone and cannot access its storage, even when I set the USB mode as MTP or PTP. Both is with USB debugging enabled and USB mode as MTP.
Have you any idea why this happening? I heard about it that it could be a kernel limitation, since the kernel recognize any usb device attached as USB flash drive, it'll try to mount but without success when connecting with others android devices.
