This is my first HTC phone & I'm loving the Sense UI. Is there a way to increase the number of rows & columns of icons on any of the screens? This can be done with other launchers such as Launcher Pro.
I'm expecting the answer to be no :-(
PS I found a sort of solution at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=915472 but it's written in very poor English & I can't follow it.
Yes it can be done and some roms have a tweaks app that allows you to change.

AFAIK Leetdroid weaks allows 5 columns of apps in the app drawer but not on the homescreen.

for r59 which is built off baseband 2.08, you want the LeeDroid tweaks for 2.08 not 2.17. I think it will change you stock theme some. It has it's own framework and thus theme.

When I boot and try to exchange idlescreen_base from my sdcard, there is no way to unlock the lock screen.

Crt animation can be found in post 2 of revolution hd rom. As far as zues mods just grab the syatemui.apk out of synergy or eternity. Or whatever rom you are trying to mimick and you should be good to go. I have swapped that out between eternity and synergy in the past without issue. Unless something has changed since then you should be good to go.

Yes, it sure will.
However, if you're going to use the crt+nociq, you should probably make sure your ROM has the other edits to remove ciq, such as those in framework.jar, etc.

It's where if you press and hold on the quick settings it will take you the the setting. Like if you press and hold on wifi it'll take you to the wifi settings page. It's pretty legit haha

i thought anything above 32 heapsize was bad and but 128!?
Doesn't hurt to try, going to flash and see if there's any immediate difference.

And for me, it actually decreased performance. QuickSense on Telus.

Can't see how cause Xboarder56 uses a lot of the same tweaks. That this has nothing to do with the camera so u must have done something wrong. Others tested before I posted. Your welcome though!

if your using 1.5.0, it got some bug!! try 1.5.1 its the beast!!
Installed it on android revolution hd and it works very fell. Noticable difference in speed thanks.

This mod will make the rosie launcher 4 columns by 5 rows making better use of the screen real estate. HTC didnt make this default for whatever reason and there was just way too much empty space... But this mod makes it much much better.
As always nandroid backup! But you already knew that right...

Actually yes, but the problem with that is 3rd party widgets won't render correctly. They will always show up to the left or right, not centered. The sense widgets render fine though.

it worked
It worked for me on meanROM! It added a large amount of shortcut space... now I can have more shortcuts next to my Sense clock widget on my home screen!
I suggest that one performs a backup of their /system first. Just in case something goes wrong or one wants to switch back.
Perhaps you could provide a zip that undoes these changes for those that may want to revert?
Thanks for this mod! I hope it gets integrated in the other 2.17 based ROMs.

it's a ROM dependant mod. I have made a couple of them. We have a flashable option of that for our ROM.
MeanRom has this feature.

As il Duce said, it's rom dependent, just check whether it's supported in the changelog before flashing or ask in the relevant thread.

Ahh my mistake Meanrom has 4x5 not 5x5.
There's a method some guy developed for flashing the 4x5 or 4x6 capability http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1615124.
TBH I don't even know what Rosie is. I just installed the VIPERROM IC3D Beta 3, and I can't ask that question over there cause I'm still a newbie (still no thankss :/ ). Does anyone know if I can do what they're recommending in the 4x5 thread with ViperROM? If so what are the steps? flash the Rosie_Backup.zip first and then the Rosie_4x5_Workspace_Update3.zip ?

I'm going to make it for d3rpROM ICS in a minute here. Since I was the guy who originally did the 5x5 mod for the evo3D, I think I'll keep in in the ROM thread. Not sure if it will work on other ROMs. Also, it will not have text labels. That is all.
These are a few variations of the Leedroid Tweaks for Sense3.6 ROM's on Sprints 2.89 base. I haven't made these tweaks. The version of tweaks I am using, I have borrowed from coolexe. I have only modified Rosie to offer these variations.
These tweaks have been tested by me only on the MeanROM ICS 2.6, but should work on coolexe's CoolSense 3.6 and most ICS Sense 3.6 Roms on the 2.89 base.

I'm sorry but these tweaks aren't meant to work on CM 9, or any AOSP based ROM as they are based on the HTC sense framework.

I just finished flashing this on MeanRom 2.6 ics and it is perfect except for one major annoyance, all of the quick setting icons are available EXCEPT for the 4G one..anyone have any idea why? I am using the 5x4 Rosie with text if it makes any difference..anyone know why its not showing up and/or how I can put it in as it seems to be the only one missing and 4G is something I use very often ..also the capacitive settings dont seem to work on this. Any ideas?

What recovery are you using? and are you s-on or off?, I am s-on and I always used Clockwork recovery and always had problems with roms not installing everything, I now use 4EXT recovery and have not had a problem yet...let me know if this helps you at all...
