[Q] 1% Battery problem - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

It happened to me today like when the battery was about 40%. Then, when I plugged in the charger the battery icon was at half of the icon. So, there was charge left in it. The, I pulled the battery and again reinserted it. Plugged it in. The charging led was red and the icon was blank as if there no charge in it.
Did anyone experience anything like this?

yes
me
my phone is always drops from 40% to 1% with any roms

charge led not blinking when done

Hi,
Got my 101 yesterday and i charged it directly on the power adapter.
I charged it like 17hours but no blinking led?
It all runs well and i think it is charged enough, anybody got the same issue?
Greets
My 70 will only blink if it is turned on while charging, otherwise it won't.
What do you mean, while it is charging or when it is done charging and turned on?
If i charge the 70 when it is turned off, it imediately turns itself on and stays on. When it has fully chrarged the led will flash. However if i put it on charge and it turns itself on, if i then turn it off and leave it charging the led never flashes when it is charged.
Modern Li-Ion battery charge regimes are complex. They will charge until full then turn off until the charge falls below a certain level, then start charging again. So if you happen to look at your device at they wrong time it might not show fully charged because it is part way through the wait cycle. This is done to prolong battery life - it stops the battery from being cooked. You can bump charge a li-on battery to get more juice it it, but that shortens battery life considerably.
Also, it is possible that your battery meter need calibrating. Every 30 days or so let your device run right down before re-charging - this should re-calibrate the meter.
Thanks
I did discover that he only blink when turned on, just what you guys telling here.
Thanks for the reactions

Somewhat same issue, battery charge light NEVER blinked, had Archos 32 for 2 weeks on 2.0.71. The charge would never reach 100%, it would stay at 99% for hours, all day, just could not find that 100% mark and switch to status "charged". When I would wait at 99% for an hour or more, when unplugged, the meter would say 100% immediately after disconnecting it. Maybe it was cycling or doing something battery related, but I doubt it in light of upgrading to fw 2.1.2 and now it charges to 100% without an issue and the power led blinks. Looks like they fixed that bug, or at least it is fixed for me now.
Does anyone have trouble with the Archos 70 not charging at all? This has happened a few times now, I've put it on charge overnight and when I check in the morning the battery is at no charge.

Drain while plugged in?

Has anyone noticed that their 3D drains while it is plugged in? I plug in my phone for charging. It charges completely and the LED turns green. Then it begins a slow drain (as if it weren't plugged in). I notice the behavior on system panel. It shows I have it plugged in, but my charge is slowly going down.
What's going on here? Is this normal?
I read somewhere that once it is fully charged, it stops taking juice till it drops down to 90 percent and draws juice again while still plugged in.
I think this is from the intelligent charging that most new phones have. In fact in every android phone i have had...i put it on charger at night, wake up and it shows full charge, but if i unplug and replug it will drop down to 94ish and start charging again. I believe it is a form of governor to prevent over charging and heating.
Looking at my Battery Monitor Widget information, charging overnight, the battery gets to 100%, then is allowed to drop to about 95%, then charges up to 100%, then drops, then charges, repeating the cycle between 95% to 100% until unplugged. It looks like a saw tooth pattern.

noticed this as well
I love Battery Monitor Widget Pro.
I checked my log file from over night and noticed the same pattern. Goes from 100 to 95 percent. Pretty cool.

seems HTC tweaked it since the EVO 4G, it would drop to 90 not 95. I been using that widget, too, to monitor it.
anyone notice when it starts to cycle back to 100 it stays 99% for a while longer than what would seem normal?

Battery drops instantly to 0% empty

Hi,
I can't use my phone without plugging it into a charger and socket and when I remove my phone from charging, it turns off itself and I can't open anymore so I decided to buy new battery(im not sure if this is original) since I thought it just a battery problem and now I can use my phone even if it is not plugged into a charger but the problem now is my phone shows more battery % but after several minutes, it turns off and it shows that the battery is at 0% so meaning it drops to 0%.

Problems with promotional battery cradle?

Hello XDA I was just wondering if anyone else has any sort of anomalies in their promotional charging cradle for instance I was charging 1 battery in there and it was still red indicating still need of charge and my other battery in the device was around 75% so I wanted to switch them fast charging saving time. Once the battery in my phone it was at 100%. Also once it turned green before I was going to bed so I unplugged it and in the morning I switched them and the battery from the cradle once I put it in had 13%.
Anyone, anything to you?

Yep it happened to me same thing is glitchy
No problems here so far. I've only switched out twice so far so hopefully I won't run into this problem.

Months behind but my charger started messing up. Battery in the dock was green, swapped at work last night and had 5%. I just now swapped the one I charged this morning after it was green and it's at 22%.

Having same exact issues with both of mine all of the sudden.
Having the same exact issue. The cradle was all good until a few months ago.
After putting an externally charged battery in the phone I often had the problem that it was only at 5% or something like that. After rebooting und once pulling the battery it was at 100%. So the battery is fully charged but the phone doesn't recognize it. My workaround: When changing batteries I pull the empty one, wait about ten seconds, put the full one in, pull it again after a few seconds and put it back in the phone after some seconds and boot the phone. Doing it this way leads me to a phone showing 100% battery.

Hmm, that's weird. I'm having this issue as well so I'll have to try this and see what happens. Thought for certain is was charging cradle though and not the phone misreading the battery simply because it worked fine for like 6 months.

Battery not charging in phone, will charge in cradle

I've started the habit of waiting for the battery in my phone to reach about 5 to 10 % before switching out the battery for the one I've charged in the cradle. This is all fine and dandy, but recently I've been unable to charge my phone just by plugging it in normally. I'll get notifications in the the battery indicator that it's charging and the quick charging notification in the drop down. However in the battery status menu in the settings it will say not charging. I'm using the stock quick charger and the stock cable to charge both my phone and the battery, though it only works in the cradle charger. I don't know if switching the battery relatively frequently is causing this problem and I just need to discharge this battery fully while in the phone as perhaps the phone is indicating a higher battery percentage then what is true. Either way I was wondering if anyone has either delt with this issue or has any ideas on what I should try to remedy this issue.
Thanks in advance.
