[Not Solved] Titanium Backup Pro stops while making backups - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Titanium Backup Pro stops while making backups. Sometimes it hangs at 13% sometimes at 75 %. Unmounting the SD-card also didn't help.
This is since I installed ICS XXLPQ.
Any solution? Can't find anything.

Ensure USB debugging is on.

Yes of course. Uninstalled and reinstalled it. No use it hangs all the time.

Make sure you've got nothing frozen. Clear data on Ti, reboot & then try the backup again.

I got same prob mates. It stops restoring/ hangs at around certain % on lpq. I got latest TB version and restore app only.

Solved
I deleted data for both and uninstalled both: TB & TBPro.
Then I reinstalled both. For now it's working again!

on ics, unmounting sdcard-ext before backup/restore solves the problem.

I'm having this problem with TB, I'm on Thebyani 3.7 ICS
I tried complete uninstall and reinstall.
If I just backup user apps it works, but backing up all user apps + system data always hang.
Any tips?
Thanks

Issue scrolling using XDA App on my TB

While viewing a "thread" my scrolling is choppy. I have deleted cache. Deleted and reinstalled the app and neither helped. It kinda acts like a web page thats still loading. Happens on wifi, 4g or 3g. This is the only app I've had this issue with.
Has anyone else had this issue or know of a fix?
Thanks

I had this issue when restoring data for the app in TB. Finally just removed it and then reinstalled from the market without restoring anything from TB and it works fine now. Had the same exact issue with Tapatalk app.

Good to know. I actually just deleted the app from titanium backup then downloaded it again from the market so I had a fresh install and no old data hanging around. I'll see how it goes.
Thanks!

Ginger restore

Now that the GPS fix has come into play, I have been thinking of going into 2.3land again. My question is: I do not want to lose my saved game data [esp black pegasus] by upgrading to ginger. Other than TB, how can I backup and restore apps and data without screwing up the rom?

that's the problem. You can still install them on a 2.3 rom but the data saved from 2.2 isnt compatable and bugs it up...........
I think?

I've never experienced this with any of my apps. For example Angrybirds. For most /data/app it should be fine. Just becareful of anything that is system related (ie dialer, settings, etc).
yah listen to binary
All gameloft games save your data to the internal sd card, that way if you upgrade all you need to do is install the game again. However, it will tell you to download data, it is only 3 mb. But all your data will stay the same.
So dont restore as a batch, take the time to pick em off my sd individually and I wont have the same problems?

Use filter.
I went to 2.3.4 and restored batch app+data,no problem. I only use it to restore my games though. Black pegasus and a few others. What I always do is download the newest titanium off the market before any restores/backups. I have never had any problems with apps+data doing it this way

[Q]tibu

When I restore apps for tibu they don't display in the market. The problem is I can't search the market for apps that have an update out. Any suggestions?

try restarting yoru phone. which i am sure you have done already. did that fix the issue? also, try to be connected to wifi
I'm having the same problem, was wondering if there is a solution.

What I've done: once you've re-installed all the apps, go in & delete your back ups in TiBu and after that run the back up again. Clear the data in the market, reboot & hope it worked!

[Q] Captivate to SG2 apps?

Can I just install apps+data through TitaniumBackup that I had on my Captivate and install them on the GS2?
I did. Rooted then restored apps with data. Stay away from system restore.

Can't access App info since upgrading to Jellybean

Hello there,
I flashed Jellybean firmware using Mobile Odin and the phone works ok, apart from not letting me access App info properly. It shows size, cache, data, as "computing" then closes to home screen. Any help on what the issue could be?
I've cleared data /factory reset the phone. It showed correctly, but when I restore apps using Titanium or uninstall/install apps regularly, it messes up.
Thanks in advance

Update:
Going into recovery and clearing cache partition or dalviche cache didn't fix the issue,
I uninstalled apps using Titanium Backup, then restored them about 10 at a time, only with a few I restored the app data with, rest just the app. It messed up once, I uninstalled a few apps, then reinstalled them again same way
Was working fine after this
However, I downloaded a few apps of Play Store. Same problem started again
And help
I have about 7GB internal memory left on the 16gb model

Also don't know if this is relevant, but when I used to restore Nandroid backups, it always messed up on restoring data.
Boot, system, etc restored ok
