Awesome Selkie. Glad to see this finally posted here. Now everyone else can get this great sound on AOSP ROMs that I've been enjoying for the past few weeks.
I tested the 4A version of this mod with the walkman option on mazda's AOKP 3.4 and it seems to work fine so I posted in that thread that this mod is available for that ROM.

Here's how I'm doing it:
1. Flash ROM
2. Flash Kernel
3. Boot ROM
4. install Titanium Backup
5. Uninstall any audio mod (on AOKP removed Music FX, Awesome Beats, and Apollo.
6. Reboot to recovery and flash AC!D 5 v4A zip
7. Boot to ROM and Rock with my $*%( Out!
You can uninstall the apps, but I'm sure the libs and other files are still there. If you flash Awesome Beats v3 again it should work?

Clean install recommended if any audio mods were previously installed because most of them, including this one, do not have an uninstall option.
I have found that the AC!D mod and walkman player can coexist with Awesome beats on the two ROM's I've tested so if that's the only audio mod installed you should be OK.
If the ROM comes by default with other mods such as rockodev beats make sure to do the nandroid before installing these mods.

If you read near the end of the thread you will see that mod has never been tested with AOSP based ROM's, only Sense versions, and there were some issues with the led's on the capacitive buttons not working properly after it was installed.
You can certainly try that version of the walkman player, but make sure to post any problems you experience with it in that thread and I wouldn't recommend mixing that mod with this one.

I use Real ICS r6 with walkman for music and clearbass..I just tried out Awesome BEATS and for some weird reason the walkman equilizer and clearbass is overriding at times.. Any solutions to use Awesome BEATS permanently??
What if i told u, clearbass have so much better than DSP stuff? And, use some good headphone to see the difference. But, if u prefer DSP, install new rom that doesn't have clearbas or sony sound enhancement.

Friends i install a stock ics rom and and i install acid sound mod.... but i did not find the quality of sound as compare to dsp manager in cm7, i reflash the stock rom again, and install beats mod but the sound is not so high and clear as i thought and finally i install xincredible but the sound remains the same ??? what should i do to get xperia music sound as best as htc rhyme ( srs supported) or beats ( htc desire c) the sound remain normal and same ... please guide which mod i should use and how to install that mod.... to get high bass clear sound quality in xperia mini St15i......????

It differs from person to person. Remember that audio quality also depends on your headphones/earphones. Go and try some of the walkman players in the themes/apps section, there are many available. But, anyway my opinion -

I have blueicee v3 rom installed in my sony xperia and the walkman player is already installed in it with acid sound mod...... i like those headphones you mentioned above.........but these are not available in pakistan...... but i have to search for the earphones....
i approve the post above mine. im also using Xperia_blue ice v3. the sound is good especially in earphone. but in speaker mode, i feel that it is less loud. In my opinion if you want loudness go for the stock rom, but for the quality go for the mods. :fingers-crossed:
well you can try pushing the dsp manager to /system/app/.....
& fix the permission to rw-r--r--
it worked for me in my Xperia ray stock. 42

This mod is the best Sound Mod for the Xperia Z3 !!! and it will better if include DSP Manager from niaboc79 & a bit louder volume ^^

Can you upload to some different server than mediafire? It is slow and often breaks connection before finnishing. Never seen shi*ier download server... Many thanks.

DSP manager is not compatible with my mod, you must install my mod on stock rom and screenshot isn't fake.

I prefers a clean installation, but you can try install, but always do a backup.

This mod overwrites and writes new files to your system folders so i believe so yes.
