[Q] clean rooted nandroid backup of Stock ATT? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I searched everywhere, but if its already been asked please kindly redirect me to that thread.
I bought a new ATT Note last week. As I am not a Noob, I did the root, CWM recovery and Sauram rom easily. But I made sure to choose the method which doesn't increase the flash counter.
Now I want to return the phone (for some reason), I mean cancel the contract. So I want to return to stock. Is there any way I can do that without increasing the flash counter?
I got it from Amazon wireless, So I don't know if they check it or not...
EDIT: I found a way to return to stock but I need rooted stock nandroid backup. Can anyone on ATT give me clean rooted stock nandroid backup please?

[Q] p7500ruxkh4 Rooting and more

Ok here it is,
Im reading and reading about the rooting.
I tryed to synch my tab with kies to root my tab following this THREAD but it doesnt work
So I posted about it and someone suggested me to check the LOOK HERE THREAD instead
I have a p7500 16gb 4G(well in fact 3G++) and wi-fi (p7500ruxkh4)
Im in canada (quebec province) and am with rogers
data plan, locked sim
honeycomb 3.1
kernel is 2.6.36.3
Now i want to use some apps like titanium backup and some others that need a rooted tab and thats it. I dont want to change kernel or rom or whatever else.
In the LOOK HERE THREAD, there is 2 different P7500 rooting method, one for the 3G and one for the 4G.
On my box and in my "task bar" its says 4G but for what i know, its more 3G++ than real 4G, So WICH one of the tuto do i follow ?
Also, at http://www.samfirmware.com/ i cant find the stock firmware for my p7500ruxkh4
That mean that if i do wrong, i wont be able to recover as brand new. Any clues of where to find it ?
Now about CMW and Odin, since i just want to root, do i have to dl thoses programs ?
Also in the UNROOT tutorial, you guys talk about the filesfordummies, but for what i read, this file is for the p7510 and not for my p7500 right?
So if i want to UNROOT my P7500, what are the proper steps to follow ?
I know, theses are probably noob questions but after searching on the net and this forum, I couldnt find any clear anwsers so i think i should ask you guys first instead of trying and brick my tab.
There is 5 bold/underline questions. I hope some of you have all the anwsers.
Thanks in advance for your help
1. IMPORTANT: in the look here thread use the root package for the 3G model
the 4G/LTE version will cause your system to bootloop
2. DO A NANDROID backup of your stock install -- then you have that to go back to.
3. Team Overcome have a great guide and package: stock for restore and clean purposes, CWM for root usage and a very nice custom rom: see here
4. if you want a custom kernel, there is one by Pershoot and the modification by rego here which plays nice with Overcome and matches your 7500 very well.

That is not really clear for me, all i want is to ROOT so i can use apps like titanium backup, and i also want to know the right steps if i need to UNROOT

thanks but just like i stated before, all i want is to ROOT the tab.
I was wondering if you backed up your Stock Firmware? I am using some Europe firmware as of now because I was one of the unlucky who used the 4G unlock.

well, i rooted my tab and used rom manager to backup my actual rom. i dont know if it can help u.
another thing, i changed the hosts file in /system/etc/hosts to avoid ads in games or app.
since im not rally used to all this stuff, tell me if there is something i can do for you, and if so, ill help with pleasure
If you backed it up just after you rooted it should be okay, I should be able to load your Backup to get my rom back to normal and then Factory Reset to get it all cleaned off. Let me know if there is a way you can email or dropbox it to me in a pm.
It would be awesome!
check ur pm, if it work, just click thanks
Thanks alot. I'll click thanks and personally write a thank you note.
Just so you know you're likely to be asked to help other Canadians as well. As the firmware is apparently hard to come buy.

im about to get a Rogers 4G (3G+ w/e u wanna call it) GT 10.1 and have been reading a lot about how to root and get everything backed up, was just wondering if you guys could clear something up for me about the "UNROOTING & RESTORING STOCK RECOVERY" steps...
step 2..."2. Use Odin to flash the stock recovery from the filesfordummies.zip."
where can i get the stock recovery for the rogers version? or how can i extract and save the stock recovery from the tablet when i get it?

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. Yes the file worked. Although your stuff was backed up on it as well. I just wiped after the first startup.

check this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19526549&postcount=321
you have to register to dl the p7500 firmware
dunno if its the one for canada, but you can send an email to the address refered in the post i gave you to ask the admin if he knows where to get it, and then, i guess you can tell us if you found it and where.

Will this work?

Me and a few others in this forum need a stock tmo rom on 1.27.531.7. Would it work if i were to just edit one of the the "stock-rooted" roms on my pc and delete the superuser.apk, save, and then flash the rom? I was going to try it but just seemed to simple for someone else to not have suggested it, and with my luck something would go horribly wrong. Would i need to edit anything else or do you think it would work? Thanks..
I just swapped my One at the tmobile store today and backed up the stock Rom before root with TWRP. Not sure what baseband version though. When I get home I will check it out and post a link if it is what your looking for.

I just flashed a custom kernel with r/w and deleted the superuser apk and bin, then flashed back to stock kernel and everything is all good. Im sure others could use your back up though, it was really hard to find the "correct" stock rom for me.:good:

Question about Flashing

Hey Everyone,
I am brand new to Android and cannot thank these forums enough already on all the help I have had already in the one week I have been here. I hope one day I will be fluent enough to help out people as much as I have been helped.
My quick questions is, I am rooted and everything else is stock still. I have backed up on TWRP and Titanium. Let's say I want to try and flash a custom ROM. If i decide I want to go back to this untouched but rooted state, do I just have to run the backup from TWRP? Or is there a rom I have to flash to get back to the state I am in now?
Any help or clarification would be great. Thanks!

Correct. You would wipe the device and then restore your backup

I have a Verizon Note 2 that I want to sell because I got the Note 3.

All I need is to find a Verizon Note 2 Stock ROM. I want to keep it rooted, but back to stock ROM.
I can't find one.
Can anyone assist me please!

Yes, I have. I just don't know if any of those pertain to what I want to do...does it?
I want to keep Rooted, but just have a stock ROM.
Do you know which link I need to do that from that page?

If you just want stock root and keep the unlocked bootloader and custom recovery, you should be able to flash this in recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261478
If you want to re lock without custom recovery you're going to need help from someone else as I've never done it and wouldn't want to give you the wrong info.
