anyone know if Chainfire3D(opengl driver) works on this tablet? for using game without tegra support (adreno, powervr)
What game specifically? I wasn't aware there were really that many anymore that hadn't patched to work on all chips..
Have you edited your build.prop yet? It will reveal all gameloft games that previously weren't shown. If not then the themes and apps forum is where you'll find the tut.
EDIT: Also, have you rooted your device? If not then a straight up 'no' to both chainfire3d and my suggestion.
Yes i have root!!! I want to try Virtua Tennis...awesome game...

I tried it and it was a no go for me. For starters, the gps was disengaged and video playback went all white(due to the drivers).
All i wanted was to have multi sampling to help with the quality of the graphics in games But the tablet was not able to use multi sampling due to incompat reasons.

Just download other files to get the suitable resolution. Recently I downloaded Asphalt5 and Gangster Miami Vice with a higher resolution and I was not able 2 use all of the buttons in the top lol

Dont need a new thread for this...

Which Games Work and Don't Work. On samsung GS2
And as far as I know no one has gotten this game to work yet, you better wait for a fix from the developers or an update to chainfire3d.
But please take the discussion on one of those threads.
Wondering if anyone knows how to get Settlers HD running on CM9. Tried digging around here and some other forums but haven't come up with much

Have you tried changing the build.prop to another device?
Which device would you go with? I was thinking Samsung galaxy tab but idk.

a gameloft game? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318239 might help. i installed some gameloft games recently on my touchpad recently and got messages about how the device is not supported and i need to ask for a refund. i havent tried the chainfire 3d method yet. its a shame they dont just let the games play and if they dont work, they dont work.
Working for me with a couple of quick fixes
Managed to get this game going on the touchpad However i should point out despite its name it isn't genuine HD or fully tablet optimised yet. Of course that's the case for this game on all tablets and it runs fine regardless but I just thought I'd let you know.
Anyway to get it to work an Android touchpad first set the device make and model in your build.prop to a gameloft supported device (I used the Samsung SGH-T989 because it has the same CPU and GPU as the TP) and then install the game but do not open it yet. Before running the game install chainfire3d and set it to the POWERVR plugin. Now when you run the game it should download the sd data and once completed it should work properly.
Chainfire fixes the graphics (without they are all white) and the build.prop mod fakes your device model so you can download the sd data for gameloft games (otherwise you get an unsupported device error).
From what I've seen on the net you can also install the webos version of Settler's HD on the touchpad which also runs fine (although again Scaled graphics rather than actual HD textures).
Hi, since ICS rollout, i've upgraded to it. So, the thing is, when i did have my Galaxy S2 i bought some games, and now with my RAZR i can't play some of those games, like NFS Hot Pursuit, 9mm, NOVA2, Play Store says my games are not compatible with the device.
So, what can i do? When i was in Gingerbread i had this same problem with Asphalt 6, but when i upgraded to ICS Asphalt 6 is now playable. So i think that i really can play thos other games. But how to by pass this? How to remove this restriction?
Anyone???
Thanks!!
PD: Sry for my english.

Did you ever make a ti backup while you were using a compatible device? If you did you could restore app & data and it should run fine. If not you could search out how to make a build.prop edit to spoof a compatible device, be sure to copy your original and name it build.prop.bak first.

I tried changing ro.product.name and brand for Samsung's GT-I9100 (tried i9100 too and samsung in caps and not) but nothing, erased cache of Play Store but nothing, i now that editing build.prop is working cuz i did it with lcd density and it changed so is nothing to do with Root Browser and file not saving well or anything like that.
But, wanna play my games, wanna play NOVA2, Modern Combat 2, Need For Speed, 9mm, i payed for those games, too bad that a great device, a powerful device like the RAZR "can't" handle this games.
Finally did it!
Just edited the ro.product.model / brand / name / device lines in build.prop tu Nexus S and samsung, so now got all the games 9mm is working perfectly, not need to use Chainfire!
Chainfire3D
Did anyone use it in this forum? If used, any performance gains or any issues faced?
Please reply...
ChainFire let you run specific graphical apps (like games etc.) but its not for video perfomance boosting at all It emulates shaders processing, so you could run Tegra or PowerVR games on Snapdragon devices. Using with SK17i, no bugs, all works fine.
Hi
I had it for some times (but never used a proper game to test it).
I just remember that I had some GUI graphc elements really stretched and messed up, did not know why...
I uninstalled Chainfire3D driver and all turned normal...
Ok, thanks for the info. Yeah, I just wanted to know that if it boosts performance or not. .
Depends en the game, if it's Hd or heavy, you can reduce the graphics and play games very heavy and incompatible with ours devices
