Hi,
I have a Coby Kyros MID70104G.
It didn't come with android market (google play) and so I installed an apk of it. But it continually force closes. Youtube apk also doesn't work.
So I was thinking of rooting it to try and fix it ?
Could someone please provide me with detailed step-by-step instructions on how to root it,What I should do after it's rooted (ie. performance upgrades etc) and How I can install maybe diffrent versions of android / RESTORE it to factory default settings if I don't like it ?
It would be greatly appreciated as I am a noobie with this stuff !

my device (SGPT114DE/S) is rooted, without any problems!
I wrote a little Howto in german. But i'm not allowed to post links here, no 8 posts.
So i try it with a litte google description:
Go to google, search for "The Ratmans Galaxy Wire v2", on the site, visit the forum and look for the "Android 10"" section. In there u can find a little Howto written by me, in german!

(installation aborted).

I read something about "fastboot" and the Android SDK (is this the 4.0.4 update file?), what does it mean?

Hi all,
I've just got a Korean android base device.
The manufacturer is: MPGIO
Model: Plan80
I've search all over google to find some info about this device - but nothing fits.
I tried to root it via superoneclick and adb cmd but the device reboots without any root.
I also tried to enter manual recovery but it doesn't work (also downloading mode).
Can you please advise how to continue from there?
Device inforamtion:
Model: plan80
Android Version: 2.2.1
Kernal: 2.6.25

I have recently bought a Dolphin A70 from a Chinese importer seems to be very good however I would like to root it and put a more English ROM on it as it has some Chinese parts in the rom that don't translate even with english settings.
This is the Tablet

I am hoping that the fact that it has a MTK6573 processor will mean that another ROM will work.
