Just updated my phone and I forgot to remover root first. The phone works fine but superuser is still there and I can't uninstall it, I tried using the script but no joy. I don't use many root apps so its a bit pointless being there.
Thanks

Use Mattgroffs razr utility. It allows you to unroot. But there really is no point in removing it as it wont effect the phone. The only reason you would really need to have it gone is if you had to turn your phone in for a replacement.
Is mattgroffs utility different from doomlords? I wanted it gone just on the off chance something does go wrong, no point having it on my phone of it its rooted.
Thanks

I have never used doom lords so I would say they are different.

Help, I downloaded some fonts and when I select one they don't display even after restarting my phone. I don't have any custom ROM or anything...Why won't they work?

Are you rooted? I am not sure if you have to be rooted for it to work. I wouldn't assume you have to be rooted though.
You went into the settings after installing them and selected which one you want through the sounds and display/fonts menu?

If you have OCLF installed then you need to use its Install Fonts feature to install fonts - otherwise nothing will change in the system.
I had exactly the same issue and figure it out literally few hours ago

Ok guys im no noob but I did get spoiled with the one click lag fix. And one click root. I had my phone all flashed out and running super smooth and super fast, and then it was stolen last week. I just got my new one and was sad to see that the rooting option was removed.from the app. I tried a method I foumd in the forums but I couldnt get it to root. Kept getting an error when I hit "reinstall packages". So any help or useful tips would be much much appreciated! I gotta get rooted again, im having flashing withdrawls!

Did you try re-downloading the one click root file?? May have a corrupted file and usually you can redownload and it should work fine.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
yes.i have downloaded it 3 times, I am just missing something stupid, I know it. But im going to try it again. It can't be this hard
If you go to unlockr.com (oneclick rooting android) they have a nice rooting video on how to do it. Oneclick has a later version 1.5.5 depending on what you are running you may need later version. The video is step by step
Yeah google made them remove the root option

Thought I'd take stab at it....USB debugging enabled?

You'll want to enable usb debugging when using the one click root app.
Before connecting the phone to the pc enable it in the menu. From home hit menu button> settings> applications> development and check usb debugging.

The perma-temp root is exactly that.... Temporary. As soon as you reboot your phone, any changes made to /system automatically revert back. That is how it will be until such time as you obtain permanent root / s-off, because of the write protection on the phone.
Oh wow i feel stupid.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Don't feel bad. Run the revolutionary root method and all is well. Then you can uninstall anything you want. Rooting your phone is kind of freaky but a lot of fun. I click go and observe from across the room so that I don't hit a wrong key or disconned the phone from the computer.
Hmm will i lose data on my phone?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
I didn't. The only difference was s was off when I was done.

The Revolutionary tool will simply replace your locked bootloader with an unlocked one and allow you to flash a custom recovery, leaving your data partition untouched. After you have custom recovery, you just flash the superuser zip for full root. Again, no changes to your data partition.

I need a way to pull all data from my phone. the screen turns on but is completely unresponsive in the middle of the screen so I can't type half the letters. Anyway to pull data from recovery?
Have you tried creating a backup from cwm?
Its not rooted, completely stock
Guessing you tried auto rotate? When mine went bad, I turned it on, and rotated every direction as needed. Worked for me. Kind of a pain, but allowed me to get all of my info......
Ya I tried, doesn't rotate
That's terrible. Sorry to hear.
The only other way would be a lapdock. I did that as well.
Have u tried adb pull?

Mainly pictures And a few contacts. Pictures weren't saving on SD card unfortunately. No I'm not familiar with Linux
Try install airdroid and see whether u can backup from there.
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
If XP try android commander
Load it up and you will see all partitions for your phone. Tick sdcard or mnt/emmc and pull to pc
But may not work with you being stock and unrooted

on my mums atrix the touch screen was unreponsive like mentioned but this went away after a while.... it could be a software issue
Do a restore from proper .SBF with rsdlite, this will reset back to factory ROM. If your problem was software, this will fix.
Consider unlock and use CMW...

I know some people are running into problem trying to delete T-mobile bloatware. It looks like there is another way if you are rooted.
There is a built in script file to disable all the T-mobile crap on the phone. It must have been put in there by the LG people when they were testing the phone.
/system/etc/disable_tmus_packages.sh
So, if you are rooted, you can use a script manager (SManager) to run the script at boot up to disable all the bloatware without having to either freeze or delete the actual apk.
This script will also take out the CarrierQ stuff at the same time.
seems works. Thank you.
nice find...
Has anyone noticed performance improvements after doing this?
how to re-enable?
i'm trying to disable the sound notification for the stock email app and in the email app settings, the sound selection is disabled.
how can i enable the bloatware? i think there might be an app or setting in there that would let me change the sound setting for the stock email app.
i tried using SManager and de-selected the SU and Boot checkboxes and restarted but to no avail.
I use titanium backup to defrost the bloatware.

LOL!
titanium backup cannot defrost the bloatware.!!
Great found , everything was already in the phone.
can you explain in detail how to do this?
Can someone explain in detail how to do this plz. I have smanager downloaded
While in smanager, go to /etc and find the disable_tmus_packages.sh. touch it and open as "script/executable" highlight the Su (android with bones) and touch run. Now all the bloatware will be frozen. If you want something to be enabled for example the com.tmobile.pr.mytmobile (which tells you how much messages, minutes, and data you used). Defrost it with titanium backup or and app that freezes/defrost apps. Lol, or just edit the disable_tmus_packages.sh and change disable to enable then run.

Might be a dumb question, but does this have to be run at every boot, or does it take care of everyone when run just once?
Just once.

Edit : My bad. The correct answer is it only has to run once. The disable command will freeze the package.
It does not need to be run at each boot. All it does is save you the time of manually disabling an apk.
