Ok guys im no noob but I did get spoiled with the one click lag fix. And one click root. I had my phone all flashed out and running super smooth and super fast, and then it was stolen last week. I just got my new one and was sad to see that the rooting option was removed.from the app. I tried a method I foumd in the forums but I couldnt get it to root. Kept getting an error when I hit "reinstall packages". So any help or useful tips would be much much appreciated! I gotta get rooted again, im having flashing withdrawls!

Did you try re-downloading the one click root file?? May have a corrupted file and usually you can redownload and it should work fine.

yes.i have downloaded it 3 times, I am just missing something stupid, I know it. But im going to try it again. It can't be this hard
If you go to unlockr.com (oneclick rooting android) they have a nice rooting video on how to do it. Oneclick has a later version 1.5.5 depending on what you are running you may need later version. The video is step by step

You'll want to enable usb debugging when using the one click root app.
Before connecting the phone to the pc enable it in the menu. From home hit menu button> settings> applications> development and check usb debugging.

I have the .apk of OCLF with the root option, but I cant upload anything from the xda app, and my computer is in storage... If your comfortable giving me your email PM me your info and i'll be happy to send it

Anyone come across a modded stock browser yet? I'm using Villain Rom 3 which is based on stock 2.3.5. Any help to get back to one with user agent switching would be much appreciated.
You could always type about:useragent in the address bar to change it. Not as convenient as going to the settings menu but its an idea for now.

wait till pulser puts it in the VR tweaks...or download the vrtweaks apk from the opening page and surely it should be in there if he had the time to add it

dont try and be a smartyass like i did and try it yourself...cause i did and ended up losing my internet on the phone...followed the guide and everything but to no avail. then i read in the thread there are a few problems with regarding the mod to get on the rom and Pulser was going to have a look..
Now i dont know if its there now but drop a message on his thread and see what they say...always wait till the dev puts the tweaks in the rom or his apk app..unless you know what your doing then go ahead

Very good!!!
Just updated my phone and I forgot to remover root first. The phone works fine but superuser is still there and I can't uninstall it, I tried using the script but no joy. I don't use many root apps so its a bit pointless being there.

Use Mattgroffs razr utility. It allows you to unroot. But there really is no point in removing it as it wont effect the phone. The only reason you would really need to have it gone is if you had to turn your phone in for a replacement.
Is mattgroffs utility different from doomlords? I wanted it gone just on the off chance something does go wrong, no point having it on my phone of it its rooted.

I'm trying to port over MiuiUS onto my phone. Everything boots up, but then I get a "System UI has Stop" and "MiHome has stopped". Since I'm new at this i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. Is my issue with the port or do i need to modify something in the UI...Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had messaging working, phone, camera, everything i could access from the lock screen would work...

Installed the chimera 3.0 an hour ago beautiful no glitches had the GPS lock in below 30secs haven't tried it after deep sleep will try and post it in a couple of hours .
And GPS is working fine after deep sleep but you need to look immediately after reboot and then you will be able to lock after deep sleep no problems what so ever

Installed it few days ago. However, I am experiencing some touchscreen issues in S8 games. Basically I can only tap on buttons only once, wait for screen refresh, tap again. While under Chimera 2,2 ICS I could tap 10+ times before screen refresh. Not sure if it's an issue with the ROM or the apps.

I know this is not my device forum. Just found this thread when I searched "Chimera 3.0 installation".
I am dying to try it, when I attempted to install I got a "status 7 installation aborted" something about the wrong build prop. for my device which is an I727R. Just wondering which recovery you guys used and where you found that version? I am assuming it's the same version(Chimera-3.0) that I flashed, the link for which is posted at the end of the skyrocket Chimera thread. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Hi guys I have a quick question I'm trying to do a back up using cwm and while its backing up, I get no sd-ext found. Please help moonshined couple days ago and I want to test out a few roms but having problems backing up mine I keep getting the no sd-ext found ! Can anyone help or tell me what to do to fix this so I can back up and try out some different roms? Thank u

That's normal if you didn't create it, it doesn't mean your phone melted or anything. Proceed as normal.

But its not saving a back up for when I want to go back to my original Rom!. I even tried to go to restore or flash Rom from sd and there nothing there. If its normal were is my backup saved at for when I want to go back to what my phone has now before I flashed a new Rom?

It is saving it... Look in the clockworkmod folder...

Look under the "0" folder, everything moves there after u flash a 4.2.2 Rom

K thanks allot I got it, sorry I'm new to all this. Finally figured it out with your help and successfully flashed viper DNA! I want to try out sense five m7 digital dream but all the links for the download don't work , or either says download missing ! looks like a really cool Rom to! I'm digging viper but want to try out digital dream and sense five :angel::'(
