As far as what? Playstation games? Its fine the controls Crash and Pinball work real well. If you mean regular android games they work great too
Performance is acceptable.
Gaming is decent. Comparable to other android tablets, however I feel as if gaming in general is slower compared to comparative models.
In my experience Ipad2 is better at gaming, tab 10.1 is better and Jetstream is better (which is surprising).
But overall... gaming is acceptable.
Can I connect a gaming controller to the Tablet S?

Okay. Im buying one when Ive had my Birthday

I connected my USB Adapter + Logitech Gamepad, works in the PS Games, Market games seem hit or miss.
To me this is a Tablet first, a simple device for browsing the web, reading emails and running simple small programs. Gaming is just a bonus, I find it fine for simple games but if it's a real concern you should be looking at a dedicated platform or a gaming PC.

Uhm guys... just noticed something weird - Maedhros, please let me know if this is the lag you mention:
Playing my youtube link on the sony tablet gets really laggy / skipping whole video sections if I play it in a Browser tab!
But then it works just fine if I choose to play it directly in the youtube app!
I haven't chosen a default app to play youtube videos yet, so there's a prompt for me choose...!
Can anyone else on 3.2 confirm this, please?

Man... there is litterally no reason to keep this tablet
Have had nothing but trouble with it.
Honestly, no reason at all to pick up this tablet over the Jetstream
I was disappointed by the Xperia phones and now by this tablet. Last time I purchase any Sony mobile devices.

This thread seems to indicate otherwise, as it is likely to have its fair share of issues as well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1281420
Regardless, the issue noted with youtube here derives from not using the proper tool, when available.
Either way, good luck with it, hope it works better than the Sony for you on all counts!

Dude you are literally staring to spam this board and thus starting to get annoying. If you got rid of your tablet S then great, bye bye. To say "Man... there is litterally no reason to keep this tablet " is beyond idiotic. It is general consensus that the Tablet is is easily one of the best Android tablets out right now. It is also arguably more functional, useful and robust that an iPad with its severely outdated OS. To mention the Jetstream is just an insult. Battery life is fine. The video playback issues you had are EASILY fixed by downloading a proper video player with a codec off the market. I was skeptical when purchasing this tablet but have had no "issues" at all with it that are not related to the bugginess of honeycomb. None.
Hey guys,
This is probably my first question topic on XDA in all my 500+ posts ...so here goes!

Do you guys kknow any good working Nintendo DS Emulators for Android?
I can't find any when u search the market.

Your like a bloody sidekick!
there is no working nds emulator yet at least not for android. they are working on it but even on high end devices it runs slow an buggy. you can read more here.
technabob.com/blog/2011/02/04/tiger-lab-ds-emulator-for-android/
there is a topic here on xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=969977
"It is just DEMO and speed is very very very very slow even on high-end phones. You shall not expect to play nds game with the emulator."
Please don't bother hogging on NDS4DROID, the developer got too greedy and wanted money but didn't want to work on it even though it ran only on 2 fps for 10 dollars.
He has no intentions on releasing the year old source code since he is afraid that others will profit from it and is now currently working on dead beat mobile projects.
And as for TIGERLabs, well they are known for not giving a **** about further developing their projects.
Considering ANdroid phones are getting more and more powerful now (quad-core phones and 1GB+ RAM), it should be possible to create a Nintendo DS emulator that will run smoothly.
also imagine if u had ur phone or tablet hooked to ur tv, the tablet could be the touch screen and the big screen can be the top screen, theirs alot u could do.
Wonder if it would ever happen
It would be practical for certain games and especially on tablets. Since they have the extra real estate. Really I wanna play maybe Pokemon and Brain Age.
Tablets especially could benefit from the larger screen space.

also there are many websites which requires flash for online games. i wonder what is going to happen?

Apple cares more about 'user experience' than legacy support.
Additionally HTML5 sucks big time at a lot of things because there is no real standard (only lots and lots of contradicting drafts and implementations) so it's the IE-nightmare all over for web designers.
I'm sure someone will figure how to port ICS-version to Jellybean, or at least to the AOSP/CM9 ROM's since it would be possible to implement compatibility to legacy versions.
Flash-support is one of the main selling points for Android tablets over iPads with normal users so I don't see the manufacturers dropping it lightly. They might adopt Chrome's approach of maintaining Flash support themselves.

yea thats the main point. flash should not be removed at any cost. and i think google wants to improve speed and performance in its upcoming versions just to run butterly smooth its buggy android !! so he is trying to remove flash. in this way he will also be independent from adobe.
Why wouldn't flash work? Is there a reason why it'll be incompatible with 4.1. Adobe just said it'll stop bringing new releases to mobile. The current one should work fine.
They said they were going to provide ONE update for ICS, but I have seen multiple updates since ICS was released... I think they will continue through the whole 4.X.X versions
Project Butter is making enough changes to my knowledge, that it could very truly break Flash quite easily. In such ways that we may actually have to choose: better surfing experience or flash experience.
Look for Flash in Play Store... You will see Adobe saying that "Flash Player will not be supported on any Android version above 4.0.X" So there goes 4.1....
Sent from my Sensation using xda app-developers app
Why blame Google? Last I checked it wasn't Google that owned flash and last I read (just Google it) Adobe said THEY (not google) were moving away from the mobile market because it wasn't cost effective and took to much time. So go cry to Adobe. Not here... Unless you want to try and code a flash plugin yourself. ;-)
Shifted from Outer Space
It will not come to Chrome, as Chrome will be standard browser for JB and does not support flash. Maybe Samsung will keep the Stock browser who knows.
It is a weird one. I noticed that for instance the video on the BBC websites does not work in Android Chrome. This is despite them saying it is HTML5.
I'm assuming that is a user agent thing, if it thinks you are browsing the site from an iPhone/iPad it gives you HTML5, but it if detects Android it directs you to flash.
Anyone know if this is right, and if so how you get Chrome to look at the HTML5 versions of BBC embeded video?
Er, yes they do!
I'm watching the tennis on the BBC website
if google left flash and html 5 were not up equvialent standard to flash i m gonna pee on android's green robot !!and will move to iphone 5. atleast apple has excellent hardware with stable software too. and the battrey lasts long too. flash for me is a customer retaining tool to android.
Google spent some dollars for adobe flash or u will surely be in loss!
I find it weird how Chrome is now the only browser that actively supports Flash in Linux, yet it's only popular android browser that doesn't support. I'm hoping they'll add support for it.

Hi All,
I've spent the last 2 years trying to get in touch with the right people about getting this game back. Red Lynx told me they couldn't help, but this didn't stop me.
I used twitter and all the connections I have in the mobile sphere and finally managed to start a conversation with Senior Manager, BD & Partnering of Nokia.
The latest is that they would be willing to release the IP for the game and the code.
Basically it's at the stage of making a monetary offer and plan for the future of this game.
Not being a developer, I know need to find out how much it would cost to convert the game and try and work out what this code might be worth, currently I have no idea so can't make an offer.
As for the future if it's not me by perhaps someone else who manages to get this up and running great.
I see this game running on PC, iOS, Android and WP in it's original multiplayer form.
If anyone knows any investors developers and advice on what this might be worth please let me know.
Thanks
Chris

I was part of the team that created the game so I can say for sure that porting the code should not be a big deal. It was made to be multiplatform and even worked on both big&little endian systems. The bigger problem are the controls as the game was designed with hardware controls in mind. As for what the game's assets & rights are worth I have no idea.
There should be a way to replace hardware buttons without ruin the gameplay. The game really deserves to be on this new phones. Connectivity I way better, not that choppy as on my old Nokia N958Gb were I started playing it.

I really hope someone will buy the IP and port it to Android.
it could be a great exclusive for windows phone. I would buy a new phone for this game. What about change.org or kickstarter?
Why Windows phone exclusive? That's quite silly. It should be a multi-platform as many games out there.

That's because the rights to that game are held by Nokia which is now a part of Microsoft.

Really? There is NO way to watch HD Amazon content on any KitKat device. KitKat uses the Chomium webkit, so It ain't happening period. Now, you can use a browser that utilizes server-side rendering, but again, you are getting a compressed stream, NOT HD & a less than stellar bitrate at that.
The Note 8.0 released with 4.1, but has since been updated 4.2.2. It may still work using the flash apk (which Amazon tends to break from time to time with every DRM update), but you are still in the wrong forum OP.

I'm just wondering how come a company such as Amazon who builds/sells Kindle Fire tablets which are essentially Android tablets albeit forked versions (but still Android by heart) that they don't support other Android tablets in terms of an Amazon Prime Instant Video Android app.
The only workaround i see is watching it on my PS3 (which i can't carry on a train or bus when i'm travelling or when i'm on a holiday on a beach somehwere) or buy an iPad (which for me is not anymore viable as an Android tablet does all jobs for me) or a get a Kindle Fire tablet (which i've sold due to lack of apps albeit third-party stores) or email Amazon and wait till they realize that they need to create such an app.
Just bloody ridi:silly:cks!

Amazon Prime Instant Video working on Chinese Tablet
Had a lot of fiddling about to get this working on my Chinese Tablet running 4.4.2 . . .
Teleread had the answer, so I am posting here and hopefully it will help others. The main bit didn't work, but scroll down the page to the posts from users and review the help given by CHRIS on September 17. It was HARD to get my tablet to download the Android Phone app (rather than the default TABLET app) as Google Playstore refused to show the phone app to me. I did a google search and found a link to the app that didn't use either google or amazon. Now I am watching Amazon Prime Videop on my Chinese ONDA iPad look-alike.

It was painful but I got it to work on 3 devices – a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (7.0) and an HTC Evo 4G LTE. Not intuitive would be an understatement! Here is what I did on each device in the order I did them.
1. Download and install the Amazon Appstore APK using link above.
2. Download and install the Instant Video (AIV) APK from the Amazon Appstore.
–At this point I got a runaround where the AIV app would direct me to a website which asked for my email which sent me a link to that same website. Frustrating. Turns out the AIV app runs through the Amazon shopping app – for PHONES – and you have to have the most updated version from the Google Play store.–
3. Download and/or update and install the Amazon shopping app from the Google Play store, PHONE VERSION (the tablet version I have on my Tab3 does NOT work but the phone one does).
4. Opened the Amazon shopping app from Google Play and signed in.
5. Opened the AIV app from the Amazon apps store and bingo!
Playback works well on 2/3 of my devices. It is super fuzzy on my HTC Evo 4G LTE but that is still running 4.1, my other two devices have KitKat and it works great.
Once it’s installed it’s nice but a pain in the ass to get up and running. Why Amazon? Why not just make a nice app for the Google Play store like everybody else? With their very nice Roku and iPad apps this antipathy to Android confuses me.
