Has any one noticed that voodoo sound and DSp manager aren't working in aokp build 27 or 28? Ive tried running glitch kernel b5 for THS build 6.1with
them using the most rediculus setting in both and haven noticed a single difference. I haven't tried any earlier builds yet because I'm comming from gummy. Sorry if this has already been addressed....

Voodoo sound works with glitch, I'm on one of the later test kernels with the nandroid fix. I'm running AOKP m4 and I used this zip to get DSP manager working. Just flash it in recovery.

I saw a thread about apply DSP Manager with BEATS audio on S3 here:

I have some questions:
They said this mod can work only with CM9, MIUI and AOKP. But I quite satisfied with the stock rom that I'm using now. So can I just find and flash a kernel that work with both stock rom and other mod rom ( CM9, MIUI ot AOKP) to apply the mod DSP Manager mentioned above?
Anyone?

Beats is crap. Use DSP manager on its own.

Hello guys.
At the moment, I'm using siyah kernel 4.0.1 with dual boot of CM9 RC2 and slim ics (2ndry). Now I want to update from CM9 RC2 to the latest stable release.
Can I flash without data wipe/ factory reset and having all apps and settings still there?
Thx for reply folks!
Btw: great platform!

Yeah. there's a guide to dual boot with siyah. I believe you would just go to the dual boot settings in cwm recovery and flash the updated zip to the first/second rom.

Thx. Made an backup via cwm, then flashed the newest CM9 version. Everything went fine. I only had to reflash siyah kernel cause it installed the cm kernel while flashing.
Can be closed!

I'm using the HTC EVO 4g LTE, have it rooted with S-off and flashed various CM10 roms. I prefer CM10 over sense roms because of the customization options. Most recently I started using JellyBam
I'm trying to flash different kernals over the CM10 roms to increase battery life but they never take. I either get a black screen or the boot animation plays continuously... Either way the phone never boots and I end up restoring to before flashing the kernal.
I've tried scouring the forums for the answer but haven't been able to find one.
If anyone could offer me a kernal that will work with CM10 roms, or where the kernal files are located in the ROM zip so that I might swap out another kernal, it would be greatly appreciated.
There is only one custom kernel for aosp roms like cm10

I guess Jellybam is AOKP. Will this kernal work for that as well?

Hi is there any way to get something like BLN control on the stock 4.1.2.. I'm on Padawan JB
You're going to need to flash a kernel that supports BLN. Feb 29 release of 4aces kernel, or the one that I'm using now has it. Can't say I've tried it on your current ROM however.
If all else fails, google is your friend!

No. Wait for ptmr3 to add BLN to his kernel.
I tried playing with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958939 for an hour or so trying to get it to work, but I couldn't seem to find the correct file. Perhaps one of our lovely devs knows which device file it needs pointed at to work. If someone got that working, from what I read on that thread, it seems to be the same as BLN w/o the need for a BLN kernel.

He has been using an ICS kernel for thirty releases. I will jump all over it when his work is based on the 4.1.2 kernel.
i was on houstonns PA beta 3. i wanted the Blacklist function that cm has so i switched to cm. Now no long has wifi , i factory restored on cm and wipe cache. tried on both 10.2 stable and 1/30 nightly cm 11. any idea ?
Was there a kernal or radio change? I'd start with reflashing the radio. If that's not it I'm sure someone else will chime in with a solution.

Its a different ROM so I think kernel was different. Radio remained unchanged. Flashed back PA and WiFi working right away.
