ICS CM9 MaClaw - Battery lasts less than 11h!!!!! All solutions tried. But failed...
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium

ICS CM9 MaClaw Beta 5
1 day, 11 hours 16 min, and still going, 18 %.
Did some calling, many sms, was listening music for about 90min, and playing game for about 15 min.

Ace-Of-SpadesV1 lasts a minimum of 3 days (no 3d games, cause i play games on pc not phone) with turboboost v8.5, blackhawk kernel (OC 245 min and 864 max and governor is SMRTASSv2) and go task manager with golauncher (i kill apps when i'm done using my phone). I do use my phone like a smartphone (web, some apps, some 2d games, music, tunein radio, lots of talking and sms)...
The best result i've had is 5 and a half days on battery (3g, wifi, gps off when not used and brightness at minimum when possible) but data over edge (2g) is always active.
Too bad i dont know how to develop or i would make a rom with all my tweaks and settings for all of you. I've also removed all the warez from the rom (warez got the rom and dev banned from xda)
I'll add a screenshot when i get home from work (3 days and 5 hours on battery right now and still 29% left).

MythICS. Was just testing how long ace battery can handle. FULL Standby with gadgetcheck's and slaid's tweaks. reached 10 days. With juicedefender on aggressive mode

I think that everyone that can use his phone for more then 1 day has unrealistic usage patterns.. I at least usage 3G the whole day.. and i am on wifi a lot. Currently i am on stocklite and i can use it for one day, which is normal for a smartphone.. It gets annoying when your battery is gone after 3/4 day..

Well mine wont last for a day when i use 3G/HSDPA only 5hours max with downloading+music+apps+surf+sms+calls
Without 3G it can last for a day.
Look at my siggy

I use MIUI Froyo from Trip with Launcher Pro Plus, i killed all processes and delete all Apps what i dont need, what is wrong?

oh wow i thought it does ,and yea my quadrant runs 1300 , when i do it 2nd time
always ignore the first results on those benchmark apps
but i agree that people need to stop obsessing with these things, data2sd could give you high scores but the phone would lag so, if you can cheat it doesn't mean anything.
I used data 2 sd, and got a quadrant score of 2600, but phone started to lag. don't worry about the score, i mean, once you've seen yours get that high, the novelty wears off
Sent from my X10 TripNMiUI using XDA Premium App
I agree. Have achieved 2839 with data2sd and 1603 without, but you have to spend 5 minutes changing all your settings about to get this plus it burns through your battery. No one would actually use the phone like that. And you have to keep lots of memery free so either few apps installed or all on SD and it takes ages for them to appear again on reboot.

And you don't really notice any difference actually using phone so bit pointless.
I only use quadrant now to compare between roms that are both set to my personal preferences to compare performance.

I agree that benchmark scores are not important in everyday use and that u can have great scores and laggy phone, BUT his question stil stands.
Why does he get low scores at same setup that most people have graet score?
Nevermind the benefits of high scores, what is the reason?
3 things....
1) he needs to close useless apps ...
2) move quadrant to sd card (with app2sd)
3) run benchmark 2 times ... 2nd result should be around 1300 on custom roms ...
if you got still really bad performance, maybe your sd card is slow/"old"

1. i have A LOT of running apps, widgets
2. i do not use app2sd and data2sd
3. i do run quadrant 2 times
4. my SD is stock class 2
on Wolf's CM 6 my score (Quadrant advanced) is from 1350 to 1550
_
and another strange thing is:
my work mate have x10. we bought it from the same operator. he bought it 2 months after i did.
We both, at the same time, installed same custom ROM (Wolf's CM 6). We followed the exact same procedure (after SD format and repair via PC Companion) and without any exta apps (only Quadrant) instaled i have much better Quadrant scores, he has some issues that i dont have, my battery lasts almost twice longer.
Strange, is'nt it?
But, on the other way, he has BMW M5 and I have Mazda 2, so I think this is fair.
it all depends on how you did your initial charge for battery. did you use it right away, or charge it right away for 5+ hours? ask your mate what he did
Sent from my X10x using XDA Premium App
As far as I understand electonics, battery condition can have influence on battery life, but not on benchmark scores when both of batterys are completly full and on the same setup.

What's the point of benchmarking with a mount hack?
What's the point comparing scores of the most unreliable benchmark, except for knowing whose e-magic-stick is the longest?
quadrant
my maximum score was 2004 on kang cm7 after deleting some system apps and tweakig it by myself. my usual scores are around 1900-1950 with many apps on it. i will try with the booster too to see the limits and tell you!

Depends on your firmware. The older builds use back plus home, the newer ones use home plus power, cyanogenmod uses its own screencapturing method.
*Do'oh! The quadrant scores really make me miss the CM7.1 nightlies. Okay a question fellas. Do you find a positive correlation between your Quadrant Score and the performance of flash in browser e.g. Dolphin HD or Maxthon etc

My device is SHW-M110S running Gingerbread 2.3.5. The screen capturing for my device is back button + power button but when in quadrant it goes back to quadrant menu. I also tried other button combo.
In normal mode at 1.0 Ghz I got 2,000'ish score and in overclocked at 1.3Ghz I got 3,000'ish score.
I'd really like to screen cap the results.

[Q] Rom does best: smooth, stable, long energy use?

- I also joined the meeting shortly P500, shows some very good cook rom as: CM7 6.5.x, 1.2 cruzt ginger, void forever, sonygen. (their ability to assess the stability, smoother and longer energy use), Ginger was probably meet your requirements.
- But this is my subjective assessment, can you help me find what's best rom with these factors?
- If possible, ask you a comparison of scores for each rom. I'm sorry to disturb you.
Thank you very much.

Thermal Throttling on the new 4.2.2 Kernel ??

has anyone noticed an increase in Frame rate in games or reduction of Thermal throttling due to the new kernel ??
I have, no proof but my device definitely doesn't get hot now and seems to run smoother.
NFS MW now runs smooth without any lag.

Ran StabilityTest for about 7-9 minutes and stayed at 1.7GHz, but the clock speed still drops in increments of 100MHz when throttling begins. So far, the lowest I've seen was 1.3GHz. Maybe the throttle limit is just stopped at 1.3GHz? (I put my N10 near a heater for a short period of time, the throttling happened quicker, but still only down to 1.3GHz).
It seems to happen at regular intervals too, according to the CPU Load graph anyway:

Posting here also but I posted this in the franco kernel thread.. I see very similar performance as espionage
I ran 10 Antutu CPU and RAM benchmarks in a row and couldn't get it to throttle down.. It stayed *solid 1.7ghz through every time. She was hot and my N10 is even in a case... I simply couldn't get it to throttle down.
This is in the middle of test #10
* - I don't count the small 100mhz drops as throttling.. That's just the test changing for a second and lowering the CPU load for a flash..

After update to MIUI 9 7.8.28, i got 14-15 hrs SOT with lots modification. You can search on XDA developers forum (Extreme Battery Life thread). You can try some of my way :
1. Gain root acces (unlock bootloader, mi unlock, flash TWRP, etc)
2. Flash 69TweakOne.zip dan 69TweakTwo.zip in TWRP (you can find in XDAdevelopers)
3. Delete chinese apps, and some bloatware you don't use
4. Install L Speed and Restore Blueblood v.2.2 fixed settings (you can find in XDAdevelopers)
5. Flash Govtuner in TWRP and install Terminal Emulator (you can find in XDAdevelopers)
6. Install Xposed Installer, flash Xposed framework according to your chipset in TWRP, install Greenify, and Amplify (you can find in XDAdevelopers).
I'm quite satisfied for now, but XDA developers ask me to install Powernap and Appopsxposed for maximum SOT, maybe later !
I don't see SOT screenshot, only 12h 47 min USAGE time. Do you know what is SOT?
How about this ?
