I saw this on ROM manager this morning...i was gonna ask around awesome...I am going to try it out because i just flashed over 7.2 RC1 yesterday, so gimme a week on that and i'll try this one out...I did like Phiremod 7.1 as it is...so i'm thinking i'll like this one a bit better than plain 7.2
any thoughts on using Hockeyfamily's MIUI for Phiremod MIUI?
Wow, welcome back!
Phiremod was first rom I flashed on my virgin NC back in December.
Luv it and ran nicely.
I will be flashing this
Got fc on initial setup. Specifically, on the sign in stage, when pressing the wifi prompt button.
Other than that seems decent. Will have a few hours and report back.
Welcome back!
I've been using Phiremod since your first releases and will definitly be upgrading soon.
Glad to see you back, keep that balance in your life - we all appreciate your work!

I can't get past the bootmenu after trying to reboot to CWR. It also keeps trying to reboot itself after I hold the Power button to turn it on
Completely awesome. Thanks for returning Phiremod to us!!
Ya know I was using this for months and just 3 weeks ago when i figured Phiremod 7.1 wasnt going to get updated anymore i switched to another one.
Really liked this one.. I have a Iconia A500 and Transformer Prime and still like this dumb little nook more (maybe cause the battery is great and it's smaller)
Welcome back - I will give this a try in the next day or so.
what a surprise! gota try this out. thank you!
A dilemma
I just didnt think I would see another build...I have Kang build running pretty good right now just a tad sluggish now and then...but man I do love to use Phiremod....
Exciting to see some more non-CM9 action on the Nook Color
But for those, such as me, who came onto the scene a bit later and never used Phiremod, what are the main differences between this and the current MiRaGe build (apart from theme/looks)?
I can see many fans of Phiremod, so tell me what you love about it.
Welcome back to the forum
Phiredrop , good to see you here again , I have always used your rom on my Nook Color . Running 6.2 still . Has been very stable .
Think I will try out this one, but has been a long time since side loaded a rom to my Nook. What would be the steps needed to take to side load . Should I just get the premium rom manager and update from internet?
Again glad to see you back . Cheers
So i installed this over the stock CM7.1 and it looks like it rocks. Everything seems much smoother in my opinion, and it looks like maps even works!
One question though, it seems like none of my google stuff i had is working (like market, gmail, etc).
Then when I go and try to add my google account, google isn't listed in my accounts settings.
Can anyone give me a hand? Great ROM nevertheless though!
flash GAPPS?
Well shoot.. I'm an even bigger idiot than I thought. Thanks for the advice, it worked like a charm.
phiredrop is BACK! w00t! <hugs nook color>
Thank you all for the kind comments!

To be honest, differences are minimal as both builds are compiled from the CM7 source. The main differences will be the modder's tastes as to what they include/exclude in the build and what they do to make the overall feel and experience their own, which then we like sharing.

Thank you! Phiremod 6.2 was based on CM7.0.2.. I would recommend performing a titanium backup of your apps, a full backup of your rom, and then wipe data/factory reset then flash pm7.2, then restore your apps - no need for purchasing Premium Rom Manager (other than supporting the awesome developer).

After a little thought . That is exactly what I did. Backed up all my apps with Titanium backup. Backed up my rom to sd card with rom manager. Dowloaded your rom via rom manager, wiping everything, then flashed you rom . Restored apps. got gmail going , downloaded amazon market , downloaded gapps cm7 from wiki , then flashed ,got flash 11 from market , and am good to go . coming fom 6.2 to 7.2 it does seem more responsive and with flash 11 . I have videos once again working in browser when visiting msnbc.com my home page. Cheers
So good to see you back PhireMod. I have always prefered your projects over the others. Can I ask a couple questions and feel free to answer whatever you want.
1) Will there be more development from you or is this just a last one off ?
1.a) Will you think about about CM9 at all ?
2) Will there be a Phiremod MIUI update at all ?
3) Newest gapps for cm7 ok for this right ? ( via gooinside ) ?
Welcome back old friend !

Welcome to ThiaiZ V0.2
I saw that a lot of people out there would like a stock, stable, fast and rooted ROM, so i decided to make one on my own, keeping it as much as stock as possible. This is my first SGS2 ROM (got the device for 3 days ago), coming from HTC Desire which i have always developed my own ROMs.Be patient and I do really want to help this community to grow and find the best for this incredible peace of engineering called Samsung Galaxy S II.Suggestions are always welcome.
Here is how it looks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgWJcjYbJVA
Features:
-Base: XWKF3.
-Kernel: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEU_KE2-v4.0-CWM4.(Thanx ChainFire)
-Deodexed,Zipaligned and Signed.
-Some extra tweaks for speed and memory.
-Camera tweak.
-Everything from Samsung is still there.
-Gtalk 1.3 with video
-Native android SIP stack for Wifi AND 3G calls
-No themes (as I said, I want it stock).
-The only change is startup wallpaper.
-CRT animation. "Sorry for that guys, but u can disable it anyways"
-Desktop as Browsers UA as default. "Ops, sorry for that too, but i said i would do".
Changelog V0.2
-Apk tweaks for speed (it seem to have worked).
-Phone.apk bug from v0.1 is fixed here.
-Changed to this Kernel CF-Root-SGS2_XW_OJV_KF1-v4.0-CWM4.zip - Come on guys, choose the kernel that fits your Rom better, the one here works better for my needings, so feel free, there are lots out there.
Known bugs:
-You tell me, please.
How you Install it:
http://www.multiupload.com/1DAB68308S
-Download and copy the .ZIP file onto your SD or Phone.
-Restart device in CWM (Vol up + Home + power)
-Backup your old Rom
-Wipe data + cache (All your data will be gone)(V0.2 itself will wipe your data)
-Choose "Install Zip from SD card"
-Browse the .ZIP file and install it.
-Boot device and ENJOY.
-I'm not responsible for your mistakes you should know what you are doing.
**I do really recommend the use of Tegrak Overclock**Buy it from Market.
-I do play a lot and we know that some games like (Asphalt 6) are made to not use the whole GPUs power , it means lower FPS.But at the same time I want a longer battery life the screens to move smoothly and i don't want the device to overheat, so what I did is.
-Install Tegrak Overclock
-Load the modules
-Go to GPU optmization and change values to:
-267 - 975 and 200 - 950, if it works for me should work for you too.
Old Versions.
V0.1
http://www.multiupload.com/ZU48COCMUJ
Updates to V0.1 ,don't flash it to V0.2.
1st update is out.
-Green status icons
-CRT animation
-Desktop as browsers default user agent
Download and flash via CWM

More is coming perhaps tomm.
For those with FC after calling, download the update below and flash it via CWM.

You can actually use the Kernel you think fits better,at least for now when all the Roms out there are based on official samsung bases and so are the kernels. When I first excrated the Base, a KF1 kernel came together, but i decided that this one just works better.I'm gonna start doing a research about kernels, cause i don't think any of those out there matchs my expectations 100%.

Welcome to Phiremod for Nook!
This rom is based off CM 7.1, so thanks to Cyanogen and teamdouche for the awesome work.
I am not a developer - I do this for fun - thank your devs for all of their much appreciated work.
Let me make this clear: If you want stock CyanogenMod on your nook, please download it from here. I tweaked it for my purposes, and decided to share it with the community. Feel free to take it or leave it. To follow the progress of CM7 development for the Nook, please see Dalingrin's thread here. If you are a developer of an included app and wish for me to remove it, just let me know.

I have the same problem. N button works to turn the screen on, but that's it. If I dual-boot to my stock Image the N button works fine. Something in the new 7.1 has changed the behavior of the N button.
Other than that, this rocks, thank you!!!
reporting that the "n" button doesnt take you home.
and changing the settings to long press doesnt seem to work either
besides that this is a great rom.
keep up the good work
If you experience the 'n' button not working, reflash the rom without wiping.
Weird graphical glitch on stock install. Open app drawer with nook vertical, then turn it horizontal. Only 1 icon appears in horizontal view and the text is all garbled.
I too had the N not functioning but a reflash sorted it out.
Relashed worked great, thanks!

Thanks for your work.
Anyway, I experienced the CM 7.1 drained the battery so fast (in comparison with stock 1.2) so I wonder with some mod, will it be better?
Thanks again.

No battery drain at all here. How long have you had it 7.1 installed and when did the drain start?

Thanks Phiredrop!!!!!
I'm not sure why but my nook is constantly freezing up requiring a hard restart whenever I'm using wifi.
It happens randomly. It use to happen on older cm nightlies but the newer ones had fixed the issue. Is there a fix for this is?

Awesome man!
Hey, I've been meaning to all, would you mind (and be able to) making a flashable zip that would let one put your mods over any cyanogenmod nightly? That way we could use you're mods with newer versions of CM7, no need to wait for new releases

I am running phiromod 6.3, to update do I backup all apps in titanium backup and flash from my cwr boot SD card and wipe everythingand flash or do I update with rom manager? I'm just not quite sure how to update and keep all my apps and market
Sweet I'll flash this weekend loved the last release.

This rom is awesome. We don't need to use home button, you can make it visible on screen by going to Phiremod settings. The battery almost doesn't drain when it's in sleep mode. Wow.
I would like to try out this ROM but every time I click on the download link in the OP, it takes me to the phiremod website and can't find out where to download the file. Any help

Many thanks, and Regards.
tobias_r33per,
If you are using my SPARKZ_2 kernel as part of this ROM you should stop!
The version you have is outdated and no longer supported. Current CM7 source includes several updates subsequent to the kernel version you are using. If you are indeed building from source you should know this already.
Would also have been the decent thing to do to give credit to TeamHacksung for all the work they did in bringing CM7 to this device and myself for the kernel you are using. Especially since you are clearly not in a position to be providing the support for this ROM - I will have to deal with the SPARKZ related questions that will come up (and they will come up, there are bugs in it!).
I caution all who would install this rom - stick with the real CyanogenMod, at least then you get the latest and know what you get.

Thanks for your feedback, i realize that the kernel is outdated, this build was made sometime ago and i know the current build from git are using an updated kernel version for #106 and higher, it was merely included for testing and thus being an alpha build.
Especially since you are clearly not in a position to be providing the support for this ROM

This is rather a bold claim to make though, my bad if i dont live up to high standards
I do love your kernel and all the work TeamHacksung have done getting CM to run on this device, i am in full support and donate to the cause.
Builds after this will be based on higher nighties and NOT include the version of kernel in the alpha, i made this ROM NOT to take away from the work of the TeamHacksung team but rather add some more things that I used to make CM7 something for me, i decided to share this with others and will continue to to so as the greatest thing people can have is choice
I would no worry about the support factor mate as the kernel wont be in the next build.
Hi there.
Found a problem, Battery was not taking charge, but battery was Red Hot. A full wipe was made previous to flashing. Never had this problem before and may have been a "One off', but worth mentioning. I have reflashed Oxygen, and charging is fine.

Let me give an example or two:
In your first post you state you did the following:
- CM7 Nightly Based Rom - To quote you: in the beginning you say: "Built straight from the GIT CM7 sources and compiled from scratch" then, when I point out you are using an outdated kernel, you respond by saying "this build was made sometime ago..." - which is it? Which Nightly is it based on? If properly configured, one can build a completely themed and customized KANG in as little as 7 minutes, why would yours be so outdated?
- Rooted with latest SU and busybox - Why? CM7 is already rooted and both apps are included as part of CM7 already, built from source.
- De-Oxed for Themes - Why? CM7 comes with TMobile Theme Chooser and lots of theses are freely available in the market and on XDA.
- Zip-aligned - Why? This is done automatically by the CM7 Build script already
- Debugging on by default. - why would you do this? From what I can see, none of what you have done changed code.
If you are changing the code, where is your source? CM7 is GPL, and the source must be made available?
From your lists, all of what you did or want to do is either not needed, or can be done as an CWM flashable .zip "add-on" for a real CM7 nightly or a Theme Chooser Theme.

To sum all this up:
1) It is nightly based but on #101 from what i remember
2) NO SOURCE CODE HAS BEEN CHANGED IN THIS VERSION! configs files yes and apks yes and kernel yes
3) I listed those things to help those who read and may not have seen or read or even used CM7, that way they know, people need info
4) It isnt finished i said there is a lot to do in this one, and i dont even know what the state of this rom build may end up being, it was built a while ago but i thought id share what i have done all ready
5) IM LEARNING its taking me a while to get used to this sorta thing, im sorry that im a not "seasoned" or "expert" at this yet and may never be, its a hobby.
6) Do you flame all new devs this way or am i a special case , im not made of time and i do this for a experience and if i could do this on a daily basis or so it would be more up to date
If this sorta thing continues, i will just stop touching the CM7 and stay with my first ROM built from stock modifiction, i must say your not making me feel like i should be doing this. I respect the team and the work but your making out like i am violating your space and NO ONE should touch the stuff.

Hi there.
Found a problem, Battery was not taking charge, but battery was Red Hot. A full wipe was made previous to flashing. Never had this problem before and may have been a "One off', but worth mentioning. I have reflashed Oxygen, and charging is fine.

Thanks for this info, interesting, i will see what might be causing this, i have an idea though.
Agreed the comments were heavy handed and unacceptable, and should have been PM'd as apposed to embarrassing the OP.

It is/was not my intention to flame you nor have I done so.
All I have done was point out originally that you should not be using my kernel with the new nightlies as it is outdated and has known bugs. Your description did not include the version of the CM7 base you are using and still doesn't. I was trying to avoid users with an unknown base of CM7 coming over to start asking questions in either the CM7 Q&A thread or my SPARKZ_2 kernel thread.
I am still a 'new' developer myself, this is certainly not my 'space' and I encourage anyone to take it on as well. It is a fun and rewarding hobby. We all had to start learning somewhere and are still learning every day. The XDA community is there to support and guide you.
I personally would not have started with publishing a full CM7 derivative ROM. There are known issues with both installing and running CM7, including buzzboy's phone heating/battery issue above, that you will now have to provide support for in this thread.
I've been using this rom since last Friday and it working great so far, haven't got problems with charging seem to be working fine.
tobias_r33per I do think you have to continue working on this rom its working great.
people need to start somewhere and I don't agree with DvTonder It can't be perfect the first time, although I do agree that you have report some credits to the
CM7 team and kernel creator.
keep on the good work.
- can you add the theme selector to the next version.
and maybe It would be nice to change the directory name of the external Sd card, I had SuperOSR rom installed and they changed the /mnt/emmc (external SD) location to the one used in the samsung stock /external_sd
it not a big problem but I think /external_sd is easier to locate

Its a cool attempt to modify the CM 7. I like it.
Its quite stable and so far going on well. I know its not much different from CM 7 but still its cool with Siyah kernel.

I do see what you are saying, i have added all this now to the OP, CM7 Nightly version and more, and i do thank you for pointing these things out, it has made me think about what i need to do in future, cant imagine what would have happened if i hadnt changed all these things. From now on i will reference everthing and make sure others understand what i am exactly giving them

Is there a way to run this from the SDcard? Thanks.
I'm gonna try this, although it may take a lil while due to the fact that I'm in school right now. Screw studies there's a new NT ROM out!

Well, I'm back on cm9 because about every 3 minutes or so it would kick my out to the boot sequence. I kept trying to download the LCD density modder to fix the screen density from hdpi to mdpi, but I couldn't due to the frequent crashes. I dunno if this is just me and I botched the install somehow or if this ROM is still extremely alpha. If these are routine problems id recommed putting "WIP" or "devs only" in the thread name. Just IMO. Hope this is just a problem with my install.

I have problem playing hd video on youtube with miui. Still can't find a solution. That keeps me from releasing an update
Other than that everything is working fine though.
Hi, will it work on a 8Gb Tablet or it's just for 16Gb?

The rom should work but the kernel is for 16g only. You need to mod it (change the irboot) for it to work on 8g.

The definitive Best Customizable Rom for the best tablet Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. This is for P600 for now......
Thank you if you want to buy me a beer, I need one after these last few weeks fighting with framework and Aroma.
Don't post the link for the rom anywhere else that XDA but you can refer to the thread.
Features:
Deodex
Zipalign
Busybox
Knox free
Init.d
Supersu 2.37
Base P600UEUCNK1 (latest build)
Xluco kernel V3 Stable
Better Keyboard
4 way multi windows
Floating Multi Windows
2 themes Stock and Flat UI from Pro
You can go to very slim to any soft you want to have
Too much add to tell, just install and go to Aroma
Many Build Prop Tweaks
Ad /Data/app feature in the Rom
NitroX Sparks edition
Huge Aroma Installer
5 launchers including Magazine (probably buggy but work) , Apex, Nova, stock and stock fast
I added the soft Reboot Menu that works very well
I warn you this build is very very fast. And Battery life is dawn good. Don't install too much Samsung and Google stuff; make a good selection, you can always go back in Aroma.
Instalation
To install place the zip file in your external SD reboot in Recovery mod.
Flash zip file and follow aroma installer, use the touchscreen gently as it is very sensible and you can install something you don't want.
You can dirty flash if you want but I suggest backing up before and try.
I don't recommend that of course, better Factory reset and wipe caches.
Let the rom settle for a while.
Rom do not affect wifi recovery.
Don't tell me hand writing recognition don't work, Install languages first.
In the first Aroma page if you install Gmail Exchange as only mail don't install Gmail on the Aroma Google apps applications.
To put more apps in Multi-windows use Wanam Xposed.
To enable Nitro:
Open Terminal
SU
MENU
Option 3
1
1
To do: Some cleaning in system and Aroma descriptions.
You tell me what you want for V3 (Already have some nice ideas).
Bugs:
I hope a few to keep me busy.

I am not a developer but will update and try to include some more features as much as I can like kernels and else.
This Rom made me think at something; I really didn't have a lot of knowledge how to build from stock so I really learned a lot, so I maybe write a tutorial before I forget for those interested. Not hard but you have to follow the steps. Decompiling framework and recompiling to change the title is not like eating a piece of cake. That was challenging.

Maybe further this week I debloat. What nivel are you looking at for the removal extreme or medium?

Yes I think we would all like a new Rom based on the new firmware. Thank you for your work.
I think the more you can leave the ROM full of bloat by default and provide options to debloat maybe in aroma?
I only say this because often users like a particular bloat app and it is easier to remove them after an install than it is to add them in usually.
Just my opinion. Thanks for the new ROM, when I get a moment I'll flash it on my tablet.
Thanks for your work. the more support we can get the better. best to take it slow and keep it stable. i agree on the debloat. there is actually a lot that i need for work. an aroma installer debloat might be best. but its your work so do what you want.

Knox free
Init.d
Supersu

Speed improvement

Add aroma Installer
Kernel modification (Little difficult but will try)
Power Menu

Download fine here but I will upload with Mega in few hours
Next step is check out some "battery saver" and "performance" tweaks from Hyperdrive rom and see if you could incorporate them into this NI1 base rom. Xluco kernel is the best. This probably the kernel for reference.

The other thing I am always concerned about with tablets etc is that they are not always supported into the future. Having a rock solid stock ROM with all the original features intact means that long after Samsung abandons this device (sorry for being pessimistic haha) we will still have a really nice stock ROM. Some of my legacy devices are running ROMs that haven't been updated for years, but work perfectly because some nice dev made a stable and thoughtfully tweaked stock ROM.
I'm running this ROM on my tablet now, absolutely no dramas.
To those of you who are using this ROM after trying other custom ROMs, have you noticed any changes in battery life? Can you post details regarding which apps/games and/or kernel you're using?
Thanks!

Honestly there arent too many mods that i actually use even with everything offered in Hyperdrive. i think the biggest ones are being able to add more apps to pen window and multiwindow. being able to split them into 4 apps is nice but its not a 12.2 screen so i am really only using 2 at a time anyway. also have the 4 way reboot menu is always nice. other than that with speed and stability that is all i need in a rom for this tablet. of course totally my opinion. i agree with what you said about keeping it stable for when this is eol with samsung is important. it will happen sooner or later however i am sure we will get L at some point. hasnt even been a year. that would be outrageous.
C to F
How can I change the temp reading in the weather widget to read in F instead of C?
Nice Job

You do know that you don't need Hyperdrive for 4way multi window? All you need is the app multi window plus and wanam xposed tool to add more apps to it.
As for the tweaks, I found some build prop tweaks and init d tweaks from Hyperdrive that I took and they work fine with this rom :good:
@enotar
Thanks for the rom, the only suggestion I have is for the Tab S UI to be made for this NI1 rom, currently it is only available for cnd3 roms if you look in the themes and apps section but if you could make that work with this it would be great :good:
