I have Motorola atrix that's not showing accurate charge on battery indicator bcoz its not recognizing the battery as 1880mah and showing in charge-full-design only 500 which should be 1880.I have tried many calibration methods but non of them worked. So i want to know from a developer is there away to manually edit the charge-full-design, battd or a tweak in build.prop or any other file to set actual capacity of the battery in the system.
The battery i am using is the original one that came with the phone and battery life time great the only problem is that it discharges to 1% in short time and than stays on 1% for many hours.
Thanks

Hi
I am contacting you as the last hope to have something worked on for my streak regarding the extended battery not getting detected. I have tried all the calibration apps but still no luck.
i have recently purchased this battery and there are issue i am facing regarding the battery mostly regarding the reporting. its the android 2.2 operating system that is the issue, with the 1.6 android it is working perfectly fine as i have tried it on my friend's streak which is running android 1.6 and on his phone properly detects the battery and reports the battery properly and it is dead when it is reaching 0 % unlike mine which works for 18 to 20 hrs when the stock battery meter shows 1% . The Mugen app doesnt help regarding the calibration as i have used the app and have completed 5 charge cycles of 10 - 12 hrs without break. it is mentioned not to let the battery drain to 0% but since i dont have the readin of the battery i cant say whether it is low or not as the system meter shows 1%
The issue that i am as follows.
1. the system battery meter doesnt show the correct reading.. it shows the battery to be fully charged when the
battery is fully charged tht is at 4211 mv and after i take the charger out and use the battery it shows properly how a normal battery shud decrease and then goes and gets stuck at 1% and in tht 1% the phone will work for 18 to 20 hours..so it wierd as u never know as to when the battery would die and this is wht happenned once the phone suddenly died after being on 1% for 17 hrs
2. no other app works properly cause of this. i have tried using battery left and battery monitor app ( which calculates via voltage ) however what happens is that the app shows a correct reading until the stock meter goes to 1% but once the stock meter reaches 1% the app gets stuck at the reading it showed when the stock meter reached 1%. And if i turn of the phone and take the battery out and put it back in the stock meter shows 50% battery left and the app starts working again and once again when the stock meter reaches 1% the app fails and then again if i take the battery out and put it back in again i get 50% battery on the meter. i have checked on forums and it has been concluded tht this happens when the battery made is not a single battery of 4800 mah but 2 or 3 batteries combined together to appear as 4800 mah.. is that the case with this battery.
3. the third issue is of charging back again... after the stock meter stays stuck at 1% and the phone works for 17 to 18 hrs if i put it back on charging the stock meter still stays stuck at 1% and doesnt move forward at all even though the battery is getting charged...again if i take the battery out and put it back in the battery will show the amount it has been charged.
Any help would be appreciated.
Is there a way to set battery indicator to show charge according voltage. My phone battery indicator is not showing the correct charge it drops the charge very quickly and stay on 1% for more time than it took to discharge to 1%.I have tried different roms, kernels and battery calibration methods but nothing solved the isuue.
I also want to know that if i flash a radio can it help in this situation as i have never flashed any radios my phone current baseband version is N-01.100.00R.
You're either using a cheap extended battery or your OEM battery is having issues... Search for the battery calibration thread and try that - Charge it as high as it will charge and run the Battery Calibration app from the android market... Or purchase a new OEM battery if that doesnt work.
My phone battery is original that came with the phone and is having this issue from the first day. I have seen various threads in which people who have bought the new original batteries have the same issue so i am little confused if buy a new one and it had the same problem.
I have done the calibration many times and also pulled out the battery after reaching 100% when the phone was off and let it on charge for about another 3hrs.I have also used external charger for charging.
6 months with sk17i...
6 months with pain in (_!_) about battery indicator...
let me describe situation for those who have no such problem:
battery indicator lives with its own life after 30%... mainly in good days it drops from 20% to 1% but in general picture is not so smooth... I have some days when 45% becomes 1% and so on...
Trying to figure out source of the problem I've started to wipe battery status (any calibration software with root or CWM recovery option), but no luck... (yes, I should mentioned that I've also produce full reset of battery status with 100% charge in offline, then removing for 5-10 mins and charge rest of %) and that is definitly - not working... After full discharge without reboot or power off it is not 100% possibility that next discharge goes smooth from 100% to 1% it could breaks again on 15% or 20% or even on 40%.
I was thinking that problem in battery itself and also change it with new one but picture still the same.
According voltage values regular battery with ~1200 for "mini pro" should show from 4.1 to 3.5 values and it does! but battery indicator shows something else...
So question to community: do we have epic persone who can solve that problem?
P.S. as you can see bootloader is unlocked so no worranty availiable... only hope for community.
Batterystats file does not include battery information, it's about the battery usage info and that file is created again every time, that you fully charge battery.
My friend had this strange situation like your's, He had neo.
He visited service center & solved the problem.
I recommed you take it to the service center.
Struggling to get my phone display the correct %. Stuck at 1% for about 5 hours. Standard battery (1650 mah)
Tried calibration without any luck.
Cm7(cybik) jokers kernel 1.3 for cm7
Can someone help me edit framework powerprofile XML to show correct mah. Think it has 500mah at the moment.
Any help appreciated

During discharging from a calibration, its normal for the phone to last a very long time at 1%. This is especially true if you were not at 100% at the time of flashing the rom you're running.
I take it you charged to 100 and then wiped the battery stats. If you havnt restarted your phone or plugged it in since then, let it sit at 1% for as long as it has to and until it dies. Charge it to full without removing it from the ac adapter. Now get it down to one percent again. You'll find it sticks at 1% for a shorter amount of time before shutting off. Two or three charges and discharges later you should see that when it displays 1% its much more accurately at 1% and will power down quickly.
Also, take into consideration that lithium ion batteries suffer greately when it literally has no more juice to give. Because of this, android will actually display that it has 1% battery left when in reality it has closer to 6%. This is a safety measure so to not damage the battery.

This still aint working :crying:
This is the exact issue
I checked my phone battery from the sys folder and its showing only 500 charge full design and i think i am i having a battery indicator problem bcoz of this as my phone drops the charge from 100 to 1 % in only 1 to 2 hours of use and stays on 1% for many hours. So is there any way to change it with actual photon battery capacity.
I am facing this problem from the first day with original photon battery that came with the phone i also tried various calibration methods, roms and kernels but nothing worked.
/sys/devices/platform/cpap_battery/power_supply/battery
My phone uevent is showing this
Powersupply-capacity=5
Powersupply-voltage-now=3836000
Powersupply-temp=260
Powersupply-charge-full-design=500 -> Now this should ideally read 1650 or 1700
Powersupply-charge-counter=1
Can one of the developers help me please? otherwise there is no issues with the battery life as such, I am getting nearly 24 hours with moderate usage
Any help anyone?

If youre on sprint just go to a sprint store and tell them your battery wont hold a charge, theyll give you a free one.
Hi everybody
I've got a major battery issue with my three year old Nexus 10.
The battery indicator shows something around 75%, drops to 0 in a split second, switches in energy saving mode (notification and navigation bar are turning red) while it shuts down.
To verify I made an Automate Flow saves the battery charge every second to a text file. Result:
Code:
82,82,82,81,81,81,81,[...],73,73,73,73,0,0,0,0,0 EOF
Okay, it thought to myself, after three years the battery is broken. So I bought a replacement battery (Samsung original) and replaced it - but nothing changed.
To clear all old stats (and running Android 6.0.1) I wiped everything TWRP offered and installed CM13 - but nothing changed.
Now my only guess is, that there's some EPROM (or other memory hardware) that stores battery stats.
Can you, dear forum, help me fixing that issue?
No one?
Has anyone of you guys changed the manta battery, yet?
Same thing after OTA upgrade in D6563
I'm facing the same problem here with my d6563, after the MM OTA update i started to face quick vertical battery drop, but we're not the only ones, some users are reporting this issue in a lot of devices, some of them after update, some others after rooting, some of them just after some apps update, and the thing is that nothing seems to work, some users claim to have solved the issue, but they are just talking to fast, because the problem comes back the same day, they just think taht the battery data is accurate but then the drop accurs, si, i'm starting a new thread listing all the solutions tghat senior members have recomended and failed in order to track this problem to his roots once in for all, it's been happening since kitkat at y has come worse since marshmallow
keep in touch to see what we can figure out about this.
Battery _stats_ issue
I had, ummm, similar issues with my TCL S720 (in less degree) and now with TCL M2U (TCL Meme da 3N M2U AKA Alcatel Flash+) phones.
TCL M2U has 3500mAh battery capacity.
After full charge it discharge normally to ~40%. Behind 40% it is discharged to 1% for a few minutes and shuts off!
If then I charge it again to 100% then it eats about its full capacity (~3500mAh) - checked with Keweisi USB Doctor and shows 100% charge, but discharges to 40% again.
On other firmware there is similar effect but for 30% level or 15% level, it depends on firmware.
I think that the battery is OK but the charge percentage display is wrong.
Another strange thing is when I see the charge level using Ampere app. It shows i.e. 50% battery level and 3.762V voltage on the battery. Then I plug it in charger. For a short time the voltage rises to 3.8V and more but the battery level is lowered to 45%! Also if I charge the phone from discharged state then the battery level is 1% for the long time, then it quickly raise to ~30% and then shows charge process normally (almost linear). The USB Doctor show the charge process smooth almost all time (from stronger current to weaker).
So I join to the 1st post question: where is the battery's _real_ voltage level data?
