Call your provider and they will give you the unlock code.

If you entered wrong PUK code 10 times then your sim has been destroyed. It is a safety mechanism, it basically fries itself.... Sorry

Hello my friends, I need your help
I had bought a mobile x10a from canda
i bought it from a telecommunications company at $ 240
Is a device used is not new
The problem is that the device does not accept any SIM CARD .. Only offering from the company
So .. I've bought from the company code to make the device work on any sim card at $ 35
The company is a code that puts in the phone and I'm not I who put it
Mobile version 1.6 ... So .. I want to update to 2.3.3
Can I do it without problems??? Or will I need to buy a new one to break the code
What is your opinion in this problem?? ... Please help me
I think SIM Card lock will not affect the update process. Be easy my friend.

Code has been developed by the company and I do not have a copy of it
This is the last comment I will make on this topic it is getting annoying now. The code is PERMANENT. I know that because...that is what the code is supposed to do. PERMANENT UNLOCK. It doesn't matter if you root it, update it, go back to 1.6 or go to 2.1 or go to 2.3.3. It will ALWAYS STAY UNLOCKED. Please stop asking questions over and over again. If you do not believe me than that is your problem.
thank my friend for you comment
Greetings,
I recently got this phone :victory: very happy coming from my galaxy S2.
First thing i found was that only takes micro sim so i asked O2 for a micro sim and as soon it arrived i gone to their website to make a sim swap.
Now all seems to be transferred across, i have my old balance, i can use the internet and i asked a friend to call my old number and it rings on the new micro sim but when i go to settings > about device > status > my phone number is still says the new number from the micro sim?!! There is no option either to change it.
Not a massive problem since i can do everything normal but having the new number there kind bugs me.
Anyone had this and was able to sort it out?
Ragards
You have to register the new number with your service provider.

No i chose to keep my old number, and my old number rings on the new micro sim after i did the swap but on the settings i shows my number is the new number that came with the micro sim!

Its not a mobile fix my phone forum its XDA Developers and you got an honest answer .
You where the one that was rude about the proper answer to ask your network first .

Like i said never mind, i will ask and subscribe elsewhere.
Best regards
The mobile number you see in my settings is written in your sim.
This number is usually written by your service provider.
Unfortunately there is no option to change this number in android phones.
However you can change it by yourself using iphone.
If you do not have access to iphone you can contact your service provider to do it for you.
Oh well, on my phone My Number is..: Unknown i dont care.though.

This problem can be fixed without calling O2.
I don't know why people are telling you its not possible, IT IS POSSIBLE. Ignore them.
I was able to change this number in settings whilst running either cyanogenmod / hyper galaxy (can't remember which). But one or both of these ROMs has the option to change it.
You go to phone application then press menu to access settings, and look around.
I changed my number because it is unknown but really its not that important changing it
EDIT
running CM10 I have the option to change the phone number.
Dialer > Settings > Additional Settings > My phone number
There you can enter in your current number and it will be changed

Thanks for the replies guys, that is all I needed to know. I still have CM10 installed on my Galaxy S2 so I'm gonna put my SIM there and give it a shot.
Thanks again

Or on google play. App is free, but sim unlock is in app buy function. Cost 2Eur
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spocky.galaxsimunlock&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zcG9ja3kuZ2FsYXhzaW11bmxvY2siXQ..
Before unlock use the function efs backup in this app.
I was the same issue after installing new ROM and only this app solved this issue for me.
it's free here, at xda.

gastonw: You mean galaxysim unlock by chainfire? This app didn´t solve my problem.
But galaxsim unlock by Spocky from market, solved my problem very quickly and I think permanently. Because I tested 2 custom roms after unlock and this issue any more...
