Ok so I got this phone the other day. It was rooted but I dont know about a custom ROM. It has Clockwork v3.1.0.2 on it and OS ver 1.12.605.6.
I did a factory wipe on the phone, obviously a mistake, and now it's locked on the HTC boot screen. It doesnt reboot over and over, it's simply locked. I tried to install PG05IMG_Mecha_VERIZON_WWE_1.12.605.6_Radio_1.16.00.0223r_NV_8k_1.41_9k_1.64_release_174685_signed.zip on it by renaming it PG05IMG but it comes up no image error. I checked and the SD card is mounted. Any ideas on what I can do to recover?
Try the 1.13.605.7 RUU (MR1-first OTA) or the 1.70.605.0 RUU.(MR2-second OTA) Making sure you download the .zip not .exe version. Rename PG05IMG.zip like you did before. Download to you computer first and transfer to the sdcard or at least make sure you are downloading over WiFi if you use your phone.

Still came up as no or wrong image. It see's the file in the recovery menu but says it's (bad). Im not sure why it's not loading. Unless its that I loaded it using a SD card that was in an eris to get the zip on the card...

Because those are meant to be flashed from bootloader not recovery.
Follow the instructions for flashing a radio here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1220484
using the PG05IMG.zip file you want
You dont need to rename rooted rom zips. You only rename radio zips (or certain files that devs tell you to) to the PG50IMG.zip format.
In recovery flash the rom zips with whatever name it has (do not flash .EXE files as stated above)
In Bootloader you flash the radios or PG50IMG.zip files
Thank you very much for the answers. I believe you do have to rename the RUU .zips and flash like a radio as they are signed ROMS, as opposed to rooted. I did try to flash in bootloader first, but when that failed I rebooted in recovery to see if the phone was reading the file by accessing the load from ZIP. It did see the file but failed to load in bootloader.
I also double checked to see if the SD card was mounted, which it was. Im at a loss.....this thing should load. Could the bootloader be damaged or corrupt??

if you have a copy of your boot.img and/or your recovery.img file flash that through your fastboot usb screen and reboot you should be ok pending your /system and /data partitioms are ok... if not follow the rest....
ok im goignt to guess youre new to flashing and the android development... but first thing is first... download the stock recovery zip on the other listed thread and rename it PG86IMG.zip... then reboot into your hboot/bootloader.... this will install a stock rom and recovery AFTER that you must reboot then shut down and reboot into your hboot again and from there go to fastboot and plug in the usb cable so your prompt says fastboot usb and then relock your boot loaderafter that finishes reboot again to the ROM and then run your updates... after you get the updates you want you can unlock again and then reinstall superuser and proceed as you want....

Ok following your instructions I downloaded the RUU (two of them infact) changed the name to PG86IMG.zip, when booting into the bootloader, it starts checking the PG86IMG.zip file, there is a blue status bar on the top right, when it fills completely in, it just starting checking the SD card for files again, and then goes back to the normal bootloader screen with options to select fastboot, factory reset, etc... Is there something I missed? I believe there should be some more options.
EDIT: the football post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334473 only goes to .exe files, I had downloaded a .zip file from a different source with the same name, Should I have changed the .exe to PG86IMG.zip?
After using the command flashboot oem lock

no...do not install the exe file at all.... the zip file if it is a trusted source should work...after it loads the files it finishes booting into the hboot screen...from there you can boot into the rom to verify that there is no superuser program and then power down and boot into your hboot again and relock your bootloader then reboot to the rom and update....when you boot back into the rom after installing the zip file it should look like the way it was when you first got it...if not you may have the wrong zip file
Ok I found out there was a zip on that page, I will download that and see where I get. Thank you so much for the help so far.
Ok issue is solved. I guess I needed to be relocked before I could update with PG86IMG.zip. So I guess in the future make sure you are not rooted when trying to update
fairly new to rooting, so sorry if the fix is simple (hoping it is). i have a evo 4g lte, rooted it, been having issues flashing cm10, so i would reflash a previously saved working rom, no problems. i have been using twrp for recovery. so i switched to cwmr (HUGE MISTAKE)to try and see if that would somehow fix why everytime i was flashing cm10 my phone would never load past the loading screen ( android in middle of revolving circle). basically my problem is, in recovery i cant mount ext-sd or the internal sd, i can "see" my saved backups, but cant flash them, when i try it says" no files found" i played with things for a while, somehow got some old downloaded cm10 version to work, so i atleast have a working phone, but cant mount my sdcard under storage which i need done to flash twrp back into my phone. ive been reading on how to use termianl emulator to mount sd card, but cant figuer that out, any help would be muchly appreciated, sorry for long description of my issue, i just want to be able to flash twrp, reboot into recovery and restore back to a previously working rom!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
also... cm update is constantly running, cant stop it, my pc doesnt recognize my phone, cant mount in recovery or in settings. tried copy and pasting the saved zip files using a root browser app to relocate them and trying to reboot into recovery and flashing them, that does work... please help!!!!
If you can get into terminal emulator, then just flash twrp using that. The directions are on their website.

too late, i kept playing around with everything in recovery mode, and apprently made things worse, now the phone will recognize my ext sd and not the internal sd, which is what u need to use terminal emulator to reflash twrp, any other suggestions???
You can update recovery image through fastboot or place the twrp update zip (rename PJ75IMG.zip) on external and boot to bootloader. As for internal being corrupt, boot into twrp and mount as USB storage and format through pc

ADB Tools Mini SDK
Extract this and then open the folder and hold shift+select and right click. In the menu select open command window here. Put your phone in fastboot and connect to pc. Type fastboot devices to make sure its connected. Then type fastboot flash recovery "filename.img" filename being what ever the name of the recovery file is. It should write recovery and then you can boot into twrp

FINALLY FIXED!!!!!! had to relock bootloader for the ruu to take, smh... such an easy thing to over look, but got back to factory rom.. bot to root again, lol... BIG LESSON LEARNED, thanks for all help
Hey everyone, first off thanks for reading this thread. So I was trying to upgrade my BB Flyer Wifi to Jelly Bean following a guide. I was able to unlock my bootloader using the HTC bootloader unlock site. I also copied Super-user to my internal SD and confirmed it ran successfully.
Now here's where things went wrong, I loaded the ClockWorkMod recovery image and I am able to access the Recovery section with no issue. I can also access my tablet via adb and fastboot. Since I had copied the zip for the Jelly Bean I used the Recovery and chose "select zip from SD card" as described in the guide. The installer ran and it seemed everything went fine but after reboot it just stays on the jelly bean loading screen( X with four colors). I have still have access to the Recovery, Bootloader and adb.
The other thing is I can use adb push to a push a file but I can't seem to find where the file is.. for example:
Code:
adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/ROM.zip
but when I browse in Recovery to /sdcard it gives me an error cannot mount /sdcard!/. If I push anywhere else it seems to go but when I browse I don't see the file and I cannot seem to be able to access the internal sd card from my PC via adb push..
Is there anything I can do to recover from this? Any direction would be greatly appreciated as I have been reading and trying to get this thing to boot a droid os for almost 2 days now.
Ok, here's the update. I am able to now access the interal sd card, I can access the ROM.zip files I place there and from CWM Recovery I am able to run the installers. It seems the ROMs install but after I reboot I get a loading screen and that's it. I have my bootloader unlocked, I can see this from recovery mode. I also see it says S-ON. Do I need to have either my bootloader locked or S-OFF? If someone could just give me a pointer here it would be appreciated. From what I read S-ON doesn't matter if you are just flashing a ROM. Thanks!
You need flash boot.img file use Fastboot because you only unlock bootloader.

I have no os on my phone anymore, i have no idea where to even start. Ive been searching and searching forever now.
S-On
Hboot- 2.28
No Backup and Non-Root as well
Bootloader Unlocked
Is there anything i can do? I know the Hboot 2.28 RUU hasnt came out yet that i know of and researched of as well....Thanks in advance!
Your fine, did you just wipe everything or re-did the ruu?
If your did the ruu than you need to get your recovery back in your phone
If you just wiped everything in recovery than you need to download the ROM you want to use than install the zip in recovery but don't boot into it yet. Pull the battery and boot into bootloader and go into fastboot. Than on your PC take the boot.img file out of the ROM zip you just installed and flash it over ADB.
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
If you need any more help or questions I can continue to help or others will pop in
Edit: IF your trying to get back to just stock than you need to ruu again http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...ull-ruu-build-4-03-605-2-for-the-htc-rezound/
You need to have a locked bootloader when flashing the ruu,
After downloading the file, rename it to "PH98IMG.zip" (no quotes)
Place the renamed file onto the root of the SD Card
Than boot into bootloader and it should load it up and install it, make sure to just leave it be. The phone might turn off than back on by itself once during the installation and that's normal, it'll continue installing and it will let you know when its finished

Add a rom zip file to your external sd card via your computer. And install it via yiur custom recovery. If for some reason you don't have a custom recovery, use Odin to go back to stock.
