Hi all
I just flashed my ROM with Resurrection Remix ics v1.1 PRO[XXLPE]4.0.3[Full-Wipe]
Going from V1.0 to the updated version 1.1
It seems my options for keyboard layout availability has gone down to only 3 available options instead of many more from V1.0.
I am really fond of the samsung galaxy s2 native layout (danish) and I want it back but I cant find any solutions for it?
Help is absolutely appreciated and crucial!
For benefits of xperia pro users as in topic please add full names of roms in which your hardware/physical keyboard is fully functional. That its:
- your auto corrections are working
- word suggestions apear as you write
- etc.
For Roms reference:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25823739
ROMs LIST with keyboard support:
-ultimate hd [ICS]
-omega [ICS]
-gin2kitkat [GB]
- Super Jelly Bean [JB] - only after instaling touchpal from playstore
- CM11 [KK] - sort of - marks words with red underline ane lets you choose correction
Android 4.0.4 .587 stock modified roms physical keyboard functions fully working with "ICS 4.0.4 Xperia Pro Keyboard Fix Patch".
Most GB custom and stock roms running fine with pysical keyboard.
But, 99% roms of Android 4+ custom roms haven't good physical keyboard support. "Keyboard Fix Patch" not working for these custom roms. If one volunteer make a keyboard patch for the Android 4+ custom roms, it will be good for us.

Big Thanks for uploading patch.
Yeah if someone would make fix patch for android 4+ that would be great.
Could you list roms in which you got patch working?
Does the ´patch fix´ work with cm roms below 4.1?

I don't have a list or collection of roms. Like I said, the patch is working with stock .587 ICS modified roms. I tried this patch on Super Jelly Bean 8.0 (this rom is Android 4.1.2) and keyboard functions are crashed. Also tried on Carbon rom, keyboard functions crashed again.
So all xperia stock-based ROMs aren't capable of supporting full HW-keyboard functionality?
(I will start downloading random ROMs and try to find some time to compile a list of working/not working)
It's too bad not so much effort goes into XP as with XMP, where there's sooo many options...

If i understand correctly most of stock based roms (gb and ics) support hardware keyboard.
If not we can use ´patch fix´ to make it work or at least try.
Roms above Ics arent compatible with patch.
Quick edit: just tried patch with gb Rom and it dosent work, after patching even on screen keyboard dosent work so MAKE BACKUP BEFORE USING PATCH!
Final UPDATE:
If you want to use any Rom above 4.0.4 ICS and have autto sugestions / word corrections working try TouchPal app from googleplay, its ram consuming but works! App overwrites stock keyboard so enables auto suggestions for our phones!
I have physical keyboard with czech language prediction working on pacman rom (4.4.4) and with Swiftkey.
As noted in the opening post, the hw keyboard (se-fi layout) works fine with CM11. Only problem I've noticed is the keyboard light (if open) blinking when notification led blinks. I'm finnish and the standard keyboard that comes with CM11 doesn't allow swiping for other languages than english, so I've installed Xperia keyboard and Swiftkey. Both work like expected with virtual keyboard and Swiftkey gives you word proposals with hw keyboard, but there's no autocorrection.

I think my problems stem from Gapps Im running either CM11 or the HDX rom and all have a crashing keyboard (AOSP) for me?

You can try gapps from here, tested/working on HDX, I never had any problems with AOSP keyboard... but you can try several things as:
- find Android keyboard (AOSP) in app(all) listing in rom settings and try to clear its data and cache (this will reset keyboard to default settings and then it should stop throwing FCs)
- do a clean re/install of CM11/Nexus/...
- use another keyboard from Playstore, there is a lot of them ...
Hello friends,
I'm Brazilian so forgive my English.
I have installed the latest version of the remix 3.0, after a few days of use it changed its laucher to the other option that has the appearance of a tablet, even without I have chosen this option in the settings.
I did not get back to the initial laucher, so I decided to restart my netbook, and then came the problem, it stops at the icon remix screen and does not start anymore.
what should I do?
I'm loving the remix but I can not use it, please help me.
sorry about my English.
I've tried loading the apk on the phone through adb, but it crashes. I'm guessing there is more to it than having root?
... Gboard?
I'm familiar with gboard and use it. Found a solution using aosp keyboard. There is a current enhanced version here on the forum.
