Hi!
As the title says, i wondered if Android allows you to stream audio from the device to the network? Specifically for Airfoil, is it possible to play music from spotify (etc.) from the phone, on my other airfoil units?
I contacted the developer, and he was unsure wether this was possible with the current APIs or not, i would sure be willing to pay for such a program at least
Such a program exist for iOS already: http://itunes.apple.com/app/reemote-for-airfoil/id396381723?mt=8
Thanks!
Will this thread be of any help:

That seems to be the opposite way of what i am interested in. Have found that my DoubleTwist media player supports streaming to my Mac Mini running XBMC, so i dont see why this wouldnt work for Spotify/wimp instead.
An app that "hijacks" the audio source, and sends it via WiFi to Airplay/Airfoil/DLNA supported devices would be what i am looking for i guess.

This is something i really want too, what Apple has done with their Airplay is something that would be awesome to have in our Android devices.
agreed, need to audio-hijack all system sound to send to airplay. want to be able to sent pandora, etc controlled from my phone to an airplay receiver.
There is some development going on towards this. I use Shairport on an old phone to act as an Airport express :

The Airports keys were 'Cracked ' so there will be something eventually.

I bought winamp for android.
It will be nice if this development can be as you mention.
Hope I dont have to buy doubleTwist since I like Winamp.
Lots of talk about the Nexus 4 not being able to read MiFare tags - is the DNA similar or will we be able to use the old TecTiles?
Hello everyone, Do you know any price scanner app for Galaxy Nexus? It should work like those PC softwares in grocery store scanners. However, instead of a separate scanner and a scanner software it will be on an app and then uses an android camera phone to scan and then records the scanned products per transaction then tabulate it in an excel file in a computer (possibly needs a bluetooth or USB to connect to a computer). It should also able to record new bar codes for new products. Is there any similar scanner available here?

Im looking for an app which functions like those scanners found in grocery store cashiers. It should function like that but the recorded scan should be saved on a laptop or pc not in an android phone. It should be somewhat a replacement to the scanners found in cashiers.
Are there any available apps like that?
Bump post.
I'm curious what NFC apps folks are using with NFC tags for basic stuff like turning bluetooth on/off, silent on/off etc. Also, are some apps better or worse than others in terms of battery drain?
If you just need the basic functions like Bluetooth, wifi, silent mode then you can use the built-in app by using xperia smart tags.
You can make your own: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23104302&postcount=1
Don't have the xperia tags, only generic ones, so I guess the Sony app won't work with those.

There is a program in Google play - SmartTag Maker
It makes sony smart tag from any nfc tag
I am using Trigger and it works great with non Sony tags.
Sent from my D5803 using XDA
I think I'll just try any old writer because I plan to use the tags with AutomateIt so once the tags are written I won't need that app anymore
I have a couple of Mifare Classic 4k NFC tags I previously used with my Oppo Find 5.
My new Nubia Z7 does not seem to support these tags. I have installed NFC Taginfo and Trigger, both from Egomotion. These apps tell me that the Mifare Classic tags are not supported by the device.
NFC tags are particularly handy to use in various locations. In my car I used to tap a tag instructing the Trigger app to pair my phone to the carkit automatically. Tapping again turns Bluetooth off. Now, I cannot use my existing tags anymore.
Does anyone know of other tag types that are supported by the Z7? It is quite expensive to try them all...
Many thanks for your input.
Actually I think that the Z7 mini does not have NFC at all...
EDIT: Sorry! I read Z7 mini (dont know why) and you are asking about Z7...

Yes, that is true. My Z7 (not mini or max) has NFC, but no support for Mifare Classic 4k.
