Anyone know how to get the G9 to display full screen to a TV? Right now it puts a picture of just 1/2 of a 720p TV right in the middle. Even when I do the over-scan its still not full screen.
Thanks!

Have you tried going through an a/v receiver using the hdmi inputs on it? If so, are the results better or worse?
I found nothing in the manual other than the mention of the micro hdmi port out.
What model is your TV?
What you are describing sounds like Overscan, not sure on the size of your TV but my TV has some Overscan depending on the source.
My Prime has not arrived yet, sorry I cannot help you further.
yea happened to me too, I ended up fixing it by changing some scan settings in my TV
Change your TV settings from HDTV to PC mode or something similar to that. I did that On my Philips 1080P LCD and its working perfectly now. Strange because my Samsung automatically adjusted for my tablet.
If you dont have a PC to HDTV setting then just mess around with the settings/ features. Most models have things to help you get the best display possible for your situation.
Hi. I have the Motorola atrix, the TFP, and a 32 inch Westinghouse TV with HDMI out.
My atrix also has micro HDMI, and shows a picture on the TV with no problems. Movies and pictures work fine as well.
Today for grins I decided to hook up the TFP to the HDMI port and yes I did switch input to HDMI, and it recognized the connection on the TFP. On the TV it showed 480p and it played sound of the TFP, but no video. I looked in settings in both places to see if the input settings could be changed and didn't find much other than 3d settings.
I don't know a lot about this stuff I just figured HDMI was HDMI. I am assuming my cheap TV is bunk? If that's the case what are the specs I need for a TV to work with the TFP?
Thanks.

As a follow up, I turned off my prime while plugged into the TV. Then I turned it back on and a little android guy showed up on the TV screen and had 720p? I couldn't hit enter anything to accept this setting so then once it booted back up the screen went blank again.
After more reading, is it possible its the HDMI cable that is junk?
Audio plays just no video. If anyone has advice it would be appreciated.

Could the problem be that I'm using the Motorola micro HDMI cable that came with the atrix. Volume plays but video doesn't. Any advice would be great.

I have the same problem. An android logo shows saying "720p?".
Whenever I change the TV AV to the HDMI one, it says on the top left of the TV that it's 480p and then you have the android logo in the middle.
My PS3 works fine with HDMI when connected.
Any ideas on how to change that 480p that comes in the corner of the TV ? How to change to 720p ?
Ok so I got this point of view protab 2 xxl this week, so far very nice. One issue though, when I use the mini hdmi to hdmi cable on a HD tv it works, but when I use Mini HDMI to HDMI to DVI female on a normal lcd screen without HDMI inputs nothing happens. Can this be because the resolution on the tab is to high for the LCD screen? If so is there a app I can use to lower the resolution on the tab to make it work with a std LCD VGA screen?
Is there any way to increase the resolution of the hdmi out image in such a way that its showing the native screen resolution.
Let me clarify, currently in hdmi mirror mode, its displaying 540 x 960 upscaled to screen res (1366x768 in the atrix docks' case). Is there any way to get the phone to display a native resolution of 1366x768 so that the image is clearer.
Basically I want the phone to get fooled into thinking it has a 11.6-inch screen with a res of 1366x768 when hdmi is plugged in.
I tried increasing system dpi but that didnt do it.
Please let me know if there's a way to do this.
anyone?
Bump

From what I gather, this falls under the umbrella of not having the drivers. We are pretty much stuck until we get an official ICS OTA... and even then, no guarantees.
The hardware is capable, but the manufacturer isn't helping. >.<
General I cannot workout if the HDMI Cable can be used to output the general screen to a projector or TV not just for watching Movies.
What I want to do Is use the tablet to display snotes being drawn on the screen as I am doing them.
so what l want is to see what 1 am drawing as normal onscreen but have the output mirrored to the projector,

I do not fully understand your question as there is no question in that entire post
I am going to guess you are asking how can you use HDMI to have what your doing and viewing on your tablet to appear on a LED, LCD, or some sort of device that has an HDMI port?
If so, the tablet requires a HDMI adapter in order for this function to be completed and working. What it does is that it plugs into your tablet as your charger would, and it has a female end connecter for the HDMI cable (sold seperatly) which you connect to the projector, tv, etc.
