Just a heads up, to take a screenshot, click and hold both volume down and Power for about 1 second. Should see the touchscreen flash.

Thanks - good tip - maybe we need a tips thread rather than a bunch of one-offs, though.
Not going to lie, I had to Google this.
Edit - GB method for screenshots work as well.

I usually just share out with whatever app. Click the upper right corner and this little triangular thing will show up. Click that to share. I think you can long press to copy, but I'm not sure.

Itching Thumb is basically a launcher that works with your current launcher and has a card system the same as WebOS. I'm suggesting this for those that want to run android but want the multitasking of WebOS but the apps of android, if anyone could get this to work on the TP, it would be much appreciated!
Looks good. Don't suppose you have an apk? Don't worry if not. I'll Google it next.
It's not on the market or the developers website, that's all.
The apk is on this page

I'll install it tonight and go from there.

HTC has modified how you use it.....try pinching in and out sideways on whatever you wanna expand.....I couldn't figure it out either til someone in another forum mentioned that tiny detail. Hope that helps.

Mine has never worked that way from what i recall. I had the EVO 3D and took so many screen captures by accident. Ive just always used the Home, and power button.
Thought I'd share. For those of you that are looking for an alternative to the power button LED for missed notifications, XDA just featured an app called Buttonled by GermainZ. Basically, it turns your hard buttons into your led.
Thanks to ewcrider, if you prefer the red power button LED in place of the capacitive buttons, use the first file path on the list, led:red, instead of button-backlight/brightness.
Been using it for a couple hours and it's working great, so far.
Make sure to enable in accessibility.
Find the apk and give all thanks to GermainZ at the link below.

This should also be able to control the power button LED if you desire.

Thanks I'll try that. Btw checking the app under aspect ratio correction makes it fullscreen I discovered.
EDIT: Got it working. Here is the full path for the power LED.

I really like the red. Changing the flash intervals works with this app so I'm happy as a clam now. Couldn't stand the long off delay or whatever it's called, haha.
I saw this in the XDA Twitter feed. It's exactly what I've been looking for.

After my second install I no longer get a laggy app. Might help you too?
Wow amazing find. Thanks for sharing.
Here is how I set it up, if anyone wants to know. This works just like BLN.
Pick the /sys/devices/platform/msm_ssbi.0/pm8921-core/pm8xxx-led/button-backlight/brightness PATH. (Should be the second one)
I set Turn LED on for 7200 (Which, if my math doesn't suck, should be two hours.)
Then I set Turn LED off for 0
Finally I hit, Enable ButtonLED in accessibility. (This took a while to pull up, I recommend doing it yourself through the settings)

Can you clarify a little more what that does. I figure it leaves the backlight on for two straight hours?

That's about it. Basically, if I am awake I will see if there is a notification within the two hours. But if I'm asleep I don't want the capacitive LEDs on for the whole 8 or so hours I sleep. I also don't want them to pulse or turn off if there is a notification. Two hours just seemed like a good medium.
So title says it all....is there anyway to disable the soft buttons? I give my phone to my boy so he can watch videos and movies but he hits a button every time. Not sure if there is a hack to disable them since I have pie or on screen soft buttons to use.

This should work for you.. not that simple since you need to modify your build.prop(meaning I don't believe there is app, but you can search)
Also, in the nicest way possible, Q&A thread my friend

Two options that work good in my opinion.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoodles.kidmode
Kid lets you block access to apps selectively. So no web browser or play store from angry birds etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.kidslock
And if you are using mx player for movies, then lock them into the app with this plug in.
Good luck, kids are much smarter than they appear with these devices!
