[Q] Screenshot on Android 4.0.3 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
well i just flashed the new Remix rom, v9,7. everything works ok.
But today i tried to take a screenshot with vol down + power button, and didn't work =(
How can i solve this problem?
Thanks!

in ics its changed to power+home

1) check power button and see if you can take SS from there
2) go to settings and see if that rom got some enable/disable option for take SS
3)download an app for that on google play (there are to many)

Reverting Back To 2.3.5 From 4.0.3

Hello,
I recently upgraded to 4.0.3 (without reading up) and found that it was a beta release and somethings are not working correctly or crashing a lot.
So I would like to revert back to 2.3.5 however I have had a few problems doing so. When I put 2.3.5 back on, I received a load of force closes of processes (google) to name a few.
I used ODIN to do the update and again to revert back to 2.3.5. Could anyone explain or point me in the right direction of how to do this?
I am using a Galaxy S2 on the orange network. Please let me know if you need anymore information and please post as much information as possible as I only know so much.
Thanks in advance,
Simon

You are right to use odin, did you do a full data wipe before reverting back.

I don't think I did now you mention it, can you let me know how to do a full wipe and add 2.3.5 back on(link to a stable version)?
1. Shut the POWER OFF
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Briefly Press and release the Power button
4. A menu will then appears that let you allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Quickly Press and release the Power button
7. Select Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
Is this correct?
Nice tags by the way, very welcoming.

Follow the instructions to wipe in CWM recovery as in the faqs and guides .
phone off hold down power home and vol up buttons release at boot screen .
ignore what you posted totally as they are nothing to do with SGS2
Install older bootloader
Install stock rom .
....................................
Clean Slate for those that balls up the firmware .Or need to return to service or decide if its hardware/firmware problem .
Backup data first if phone is working .
Boot CWM recovery
Mounts and Storage
Format cache data system sd card .
Remove battery
Boot to download mode
Open Odin
flash old bootloader
followed by
Install correct stock firmware .
use usb jig to set rom counter to zero .

cyanogen mod 7.1 volume OFF BUG

hi eveyone !!
i just installed cyanogen mod 7.1 on my SAMSUNG i5500 (corby europe). i found this bug on the NOTIFICATION BAR.
if i click on the VOLUME OFF icon, the phone does not go in vomume off mode.
if i do a long press on the button i can go to SETTINGS and use the VOLUME OFF MODE.
the strange thing is that if i use THE WIDGET method the cell co in VOLUME OFF mode, also with other programs downloaded from the market.
do you know any solution ? can i install some hotfix to solve the problem ?
thank you

Download mode launch with only two button combo

I have samsung galaxy [email protected] i9100.
My phone simply goes to download mode with only volume down button and power button e.g home button not used.
I bought this phone second hand and it had 03 counter on download mode at that time. I have tried different stock roms but same result.
I want to ask how to go to three button download mode option as in orignal S2.
And do my phone have some hardware problem?
yes seems like it, check if you have issues with home button while rom running.

Dear Atif. Home screen button is running smoothly on rom. Only when going to download mode it is not needed.

You're so right dear friend, I need to press both at the same, while I used to press Volume- first with previous releases...

Maybe you could try to install the framework mod I suggested, in the thread, some users reported it working on .54 rom. Don't forget to make a nandroid backup before flashing, just in case.
Its not working bro
