Hey guys.
I found this today, on sammobile.com:
http://www.sammobile.com/unlock/
It says, you can unlock your device safely for 14,99 euros. What do you think about this? It's quite weird for me...
Its not weird
I went to shop and they charged me exactly the same!
Its fast and safe
You can also unlock for free using ODIN and a Unbranded package.

False. It won't unlock it.

You can unlock for free on your carrier! My Ace is unlocked, actually, all the phones here are unlocked, carriers can't sell they with the network locked.

I have an I9100T locked to Vodafone Australia. Is there any way that I can network unlock it?
I see helroz has an app that seems to work, but I don't want to risk screwing up the phone because ending up with a phone permanantly locked to Vodafone AU would be a nightmare.
You could buy an unlock code, or try the program that searches this code for you. I'm not helpful, I know, I just don't know it's name.
Cheers, I have already tried Chainfire's app however that only works on the i9100 variant not i900T. I would be willing to buy a code (as Vodafail want me to wait up to 2 weeks for my free "immediately available" unlocking code to be delivered) and I'd like to use my new phone now.. except all the unlocking sites don't seem to list the i9100T as a supported model.
Got mine from Vodafone Australia two weeks ago and it had a sticker on the box to unlock for free followed it and it worked all unlocked.

Unfortunantly I am one of the unlucky few for whom that process doesn't work I have to wait for them to get the unlock code from Samsung because my IMEI isn't in their system.
use chainfire application to find out the unlock code.

Did you just get your phone in the last few days? Just send them an email. After about 4 days I was able to unlock mine from the website.
They do in Australia. Maybe not in your country.
I mean, I have no idea if they do in your country. Why don't you ask them ?
Not finding reliable infor on this anywhere. I need to do a SIM unlock on my S2. AT$T says "the manufacturer provides this code", and the manufacturer says that "AT$T provide this code". I say, I'll get what I need from XDA, the only reliable source of info. How do I SIM unlock this damn phone?
moderators will tell you to do more searching next time. This was easy to find.

Hi, i want to sim unlock my phone, but if i do that i am losing Warranty, so is there some app to lock my phone again for the same mobile operator (in my case mts telekom Serbia). thanks
The app mentioned in that tutorial backs it all up for later restore if needed.

I believe if you're with them (AT&T) for more than 6 months, you can ask them for the unlock code (say, for travelling aboard)
Please delete this thread. The unlock thread was on the first Page ffs

Or you can actually take 2 minutes of your time and search and get it all done with an app that's right under your nose in the market.

It amazes me some people still don't know about this. But I guess its not the norm? I know I had to call AT&T to get my Atrix unlocked free.

Well this phone is a bit different then most (like our Recovery being part of the actual kernel) so perhaps other phones don't have a simple software unlock and you HAVE to get the code from ATT. I know my old Moto Backflip didn't have a software option.

Wow $35! I got my unlock code from cellunlocker.net for only $8, took 3hrs for them to send the code.
Edit: just checked... They charge $33 for bell note. don't know why Rogers is so much cheaper to unlock.

Actually since Rogers owns Fido, you can interchange the sim's from Rogers to Fido and vise versa with a locked device.
They made that change a few years ago.
gemor said:
same here, used cellunlocker.net for unlocking Rogers locked Galaxy Note i717R... $8, code within 6 hours (got it in the morning)... didn't have Bell sim card so I could not open network unlock input even with #7465625*638*#... finally went to a local mall and asked a guy at mobile stand to borrow Bell sim card... no charge... entered code... "Network Unlock Successful"...
however I am with FIDO and when I type *#7465625# to check if phone is in fact unlocked I get to black personalization screen and it force-closes in couple of seconds... no unlock status information provided... just crash... Could that be connected to the fact that Galaxy Note is network unlocked but it not rooted?

in 6 hours hey, i've been waiting since last night! are there any new methods to unlocking?
Ok I have searched so this thread is just for confirmation.
My sister will be getting me a s3 i9300 on her contract with orange, I plan to use it on my o2 sim.
Am I right I just need to root the phone, then use GalaxSim Unlock once to perm unlock it?
upgrading from galaxy ace so whilst its not the latest its one hell of an upgrade still
Yeah, but remember backup efs

As a matter of fact, all my contracted phones came unlocked (Vodafone Motorola (Some sort of flip-phone, or whatever they're called), T-Mobile: M7600, Omnia 7, HTC 7 Pro, GS II, GNexus, GSIII)...
And so did this of friends and relatives. We live in Europe, not America. We still have those freedoms

In the UK, only phones4u, cpw etc give you unbranded and unlocked phones on contract. This is because they bulk buy. The same handset can be given out regardless of carrier choice. They are never left short of o2 handsets with 3643 orange handsets they can't sell.
If you go direct from the carrier you will get a branded and sim locked handset

I have an S3 I9300 on OmegaROM V42 and 4.1.2 which is factory locked to my network.
I would like to unlock the phone so it will take any SIM card.
What is the easiest/quickest way to achieve that?
A way that hopefully I do not need to restore my data.
Insert your new SIM card and turn the phone on, when prompted enter the sim unlock code you obtained from your current network.
There is currently no 'free' way to unlock.

Weird answer, network lock is present on all i9300 phones on bought via a network contract.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
Yes it is definitely locked but the operator will not unlock until contract ends.
What about something like the GalaxSIM app from the play store?
Will that do it?

best option try a third party unlock website
or also certain users on ebay offer a fast cheap unlock service for many networks

Instead of starting a new thread I'll ask here. Does anybody know of a good third party unlocking site? I'm trying to unlock a phone for my friend, but I'm not sure where it's from... possibly it's an international version? Any way to find out what it's locked to?
