Hi Everyone
I think my cell reception has gotten worse since flashing the OC Kernal. Did it have any modem changes associated with it?
Currently Im running this modem(baseband): 1717DTLLA2. but im note sure what the stock modem was or if that is the stock modem,beacuse...
I think.... it was running the UCLA3 modem at stock...does that mean I can flash the At&t modem?
Can someone with a Telus / AT&T Note verify this. Arent we both on Hspa+ so should they should be identical modems?
*P.s...if a dev sees this pls make us CWM compatible zips of the stock telus radio /rom!
Thanks!

Hi,
Today I've installed the leaked version of Gingerbread on my Galaxy S but I'm having serious trouble with the modem. It barely ever gets a signal at all.
I've installed the KA7 modem and the signal is always stable.

You might also want to ask this question in the thread of the rom you have. They should know whats best I think.
Which modem version is for the gingerbread for att? I noticed Im still running on UCLC or whatever 5. which is the same as ICS. Could this be causing me any service issues that ive been having? what version comes stock? cause I odin flashed back to stock att and its still stuck on version 5

1717UCLA1 is what you want. Should be available in the Modems thread in Development. Flash that in CWM and you're good to go.
Here it is: http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyNote/modems/ATTNOTEUCLARADIO.zip
Yea I got it flashed Thanks!
Would running UCLA5 on GB cause any issues?
Realized after flashing new rom that baseband is still LF9. Anyone have a zip or tar of the modem?
Well, need a little more info. What carrier and ,most importantly, what modem do you want?
Sorry, realized that just now. Sprint and the LG2 modem. Switched to new Rom but didn't go back to stock to take the OTA.
Like the topic says, I have an AT&T note, but T Mobile service. I recently (last night) found the wonderful work by several XDA members of which they supply us with a flashable zip that contains a radio that will give T Mo 4G data speeds.
I forget which one I finally used (there's the SGH-T989 KID radio, VKL1 radio and one called blaze). There is also a build.prop file that completely rendered my device useless (requiring an OS re-install).
I also have a few ICS modems, again the "KID" or is it "K1D" Im not sure... that, the "Blaze" version and one from the carrier "Telus". I also saw a Rodgers version floating around somewhere. I think that was really for the Galaxy S2 but it works with our Note
Anyway I am really missing ICS, I have 2.3.6 now. I need to know what is a good modem radio to flash if Im going ICS. Also whats a good ICS rom (keeping in mind the flashing of the T Mo radio)...
thanks
Roms and modems are interchangeable, meaning you can use whichever modem you want, on whichever Rom you want.
The blaze modem is what you want to use for t-mobile
Also the apn settings for t-mobile would probably be beneficial

So it doesn't matter if the Rom is gingerbread based but the modem is from an ICS build? And Vise/Versa...?

my addiction:Flashing.
I know what they say about assuming, so hopefully it only takes place on your part here, but if you're assuming newer = better, you're very wrong. If you're on ICS, you aren't going to net any improvement by going to a JB modem. I know, without a doubt, ICS modems on stock JB cause major problems, so they really are software dependent. On top of that, if you're going it hoping to increase data with another (not AT&T) provider, you're picking a horrible modem to try that with. UCMB4 is the crowned ICS king of reception & data, and the blaze modems are a close second.
Modems are independent of versions so flash any modem you want.
