Is anybody else having problems with the Saurom (version 6) ROM on the AT&T Note? The ROM works great- so long as you don't power the phone down. If I power my phone off or change the battery, then the phone crashes when it powers back up and I have to restore the phone. Anybody know how to fix this?
Thanks. And, yes, I'm new.
Uncheck Confirm Shutdown in the app deluxe settings. Hit thanks if I helped.
Thanks!

Have you tried factory resetting your phone yet? just to double check, this lag does not exist any where else right?
to factory reset, turn off phone, when phone is off, press volume UP + lock +home together, then select factory reset.
this should solve your issue, remember to do a back up.
you can also try clearing all your contacts then adding only one in to see whether the lag persists. although i would think a factory reset would be the most appropriate.
hope i helped

Hi I will try thanks for your suggestion.
Mine does and I have done a factory reset. Its just a feature of the S3, You could upgrade to the SGS 2! its much faster
My phone does this too when dialing. I have to dial slowly, wait for a tone after each digit.
Don't know if it's always been like this or just recently. I'm on CM10.
Fortunately dialing manually isn't something I have to do very often.
I also get lag in the dialer loading the recent call tab. Im on beans rom. Shouldnt really see any lag on this phone but its not a deal breaker.
I'm having lag everywhere, especially multi tasking
I am on stock 4.04 and have no dialer lag in buttons or dialing.
Install ExDialer from play store.
Problem solved.

I have lag as well. Not only that, it BUFFERS the dialing. I kept hitting dial on my wife's phone number and nothing was happening. So I kept pressing dial, finally it went thru. I talked for about a minute, hung up, and it then proceeded to dial her 4 or 5 more times. I'd quickly hit hang up and it would dial again. I finally just rebooted the phone.
I'm running stock rooted rom from AT&T
Use ExDialer

its not just the dialer. sometimes the whole phone will lock up for 20 or 30 seconds. not even hard buttons work. in a few cases ive had to yank the battery.
Dunno then lol, I've never had the dialer lock up on me
I know this is an old post but try this and see if it helps.

Hi everyone...
Some days ago, i was trying, OmniROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544790). I follow all the steps and even get the superSU app going. One night, y saw how my nightly got updated, and in the morning, start to reboot randomly. If I push the power botton sometimes, doesn´t appear the blockscreen but the screen with the reboot option and turn off appear...
I put my cellphone back to stock with root using SuperOneClick from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311081. Then, I format my sd card and internal storage...The problem persist...
I would like that someone help me, I'm tryin everything and didn't solve it...
Based on your description, it sounds like a hardware issue -more specifically, a failing power button.
I have read that some users were able to fix the issue by disassembling the phone and spraying out the switch with contact cleaner, and I have read that others had the power switch replaced altogether.
Hopefully others will chime-in with their thoughts.

I had to replace my power button. this is a known issue with the s2.
I recommend this guy's services: http://stores.ebay.com/t989-refurb -- he can do the i777 even though it's not listed. He's a very nice guy and will do a fine job.
here's his video demonstration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0xMMn1DRWs

You didn't give us much to info to work with, but if it just quit working without a change in setup I would think it is hardware malfunction.
I know you've probably tried already....
I had this happen with a nexus device last year. Once rebooted, it went away.
On another device, I had an software conflict (with one of those plug-in-the-headset, do something apps). It also cause one of the volume buttons to quit. Removed the app, button worked.
Sorry if this doesn't help.
I have a stock LG Power. I recently factory reset my phone. After I finished the initial setup, my home and recent app buttons didn't work, and my notification bar wouldn't pull down. I researched it a little and found out that the reason was because the phone was still stuck in setup mode. So I force closed the Lgsetup, and everything worked except the home button. So, I rebooted the phone. Now it just brings up the setup every time the phone reboots. Everything is still entered, I don't have to do anything other than hit next. I don't know what else to do, help?
Did you ever get any help

Good afternoon,
I am trying to get into settings (gear icon) while in camera and it goes into settings for a split second and goes back to camera. I can not get into camera settings while in camera or if i go to the camera app and try from there? Does anybody know how to fix this issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dave
I don't know if it helps but did you already clear app data?
Yes, I have Pioneer. I cleared app cache first and then app data. Still to no avail. Today is the 3rd day I have had this phone.
Does anybody know if Best Buy still has a Samsung center in it for technical issues?
If so, will they charge me or fix it for free. If they do charge, I will return this phone and get AT&T to mail me another one. i hate to do that because I have all my settings fixed on this new phone.
That's very strange. You have a touch panel issue of some app is interfering.
Try to boot into safe mode and see if it happens. If it works, you may have some app interfering in camera software. Don't know.

I have fixed the problem. The problem was in Settings -->Developer options-->Don't keep activities. I turned it off and now everything works. It's strange to me but everything is working now.
