I currently use cm9 and 7.2 but the battery life preety sux
stocklite v6
+1 stocklite..(just delete the scripts from it in the init.d folder enjoy )
I installed AOKP task450 version 37 in my AT&T SG2 and working excellent
Stocklite v6--besy battery life. Just remove the scripts if you want. Try Xperiatized by Robin. Beauty + Battery
miracle v4 with modified ace kernel
Stock ROMs are best for battery so i'd advice you to go for stocklitev6

I'm thinking of gettin' this rom... butm what about the modified kernel? I've always thought that CM7 roms are battery killers, I'm running "The End 4.0" and I can't get 'till noon. Right now since 7:30 a.m. I'm at 14% :s
I'll probably say that a modified stock will be just perfect!

CyanoIce CM7. Will give u some more life ;-)
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
For me best battery Roms are
CM7 - CyanoIce, Legux OS
Stock - Stocklite v6
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
If you want stock then stocklite v6
If you want cyanogen then I would use a CM7.1 rom, battery life is normally better on 7.1

What quadrant score do you get with stock ics on your phone?
I get around 2800 which to me seems low

I agree it's not that high. But, quadrant score aren't a fully accurate measure of how a system runs. I used to get the same score on my desire z with a ics port when clocked at 1ghz.

You can't compare different Devices with Quadrant, that's right. But you can see if changes on your Phone (Roms/Scripts...) take effect in positiv way or not.

I agree with that statement, but.... In my experience with editing scripts, framework mods or roms. You can tell effectiveness of said above changes just with use. Sometimes your your phone will run better but quadrant will say otherwise and visa versa.

I like running Sunspider. It's run through your browser and runs Java tests. It's a very thorough benchmark and something I run before and after every update, or when I get a new device. Lower numbers are better, as the results are in milliseconds taken to run the test.

Download the Quadrant app from the Play Store and run the test.
For the chip that phone has you should get around 2500/3500 which is pretty good on quadrant. That app is really accurate i had the htc sensation which got around 2700 quadrant score. Now i own the htc evo 4g lte and it get around 5100 quadrant score. You can feel the difference in the speed. The newer s4 chip make any phone that has it fast. I was a skeptic of the power the s4 Qualcomm chip but i believe now. Twice as fast as last year duel cores.

is Project Butter working on leak Xxlsj Rom or any Custom rom ?
can you guys please clarify if is working or not ?
Any custom rom support project butter ?
Project butter is working on the leaked XXLSJ rom and all the custom roms based on XXLSJ (like NeatRom v4.0, Wanamlite v13, etcetera).
Project butter isn't working on CM10 nightlies and all the CM10 based roms...

To be fair this is a leaked ROM. Samsung don't even intend us to use it. We should wait for the official build. I'm sure there will be a big difference

Yes, I read then whole thing. Its on the cm10 thread as well. Not the whole story I guess, but enough to understand Samsung is just trolling us and have no intention of helping. They constantly promise source codes and then release some outdated crap which we don't even need. Either they are retarded or just doing this for laughs. Either way its these guys who are keeping the s2 alive coz Sammy dev team is too busy smoking pot. I too am on chameleon ROM due to the bugs on cm(thanks to Sammy and their top secret source codes)

CM10(non vsync) with Siyah kernel is butttterrrryyyy! no lag whatsoever. Samsung one has microlag. stuttering, this discussion won't ever come to a conclusion but I find official builds to be smoother than vsync one. Try it with Siyah and your mind will be blown! Samsung one is smoother in some areas but lags in some and texture distortion. Gfx are messed up.

Most buttery experience allround official Cm10 (not 10.1) with Siyah, or Chameleon ROM based on JB, it is smooth but lags sometimes.
I used to love vsync but now it's no more that smooth.

No I don't, I just adjusted my minfree settings in the rom (Sensai Rom. Thanks @SuperAfnan )
And then I added 25mV to my global voltage settings, also I flashed the Adreno 220 ICS zip though it already was included in the rom

I know benchmarks don't matter except for the theoretical performance of a device but Antutu finally updated their app and I was curious how other people's 6Ps were doing on the 3D benchmark. Post your screenshots.
I'll download the 3D benchmark, and let you know when it's finished.
Update: not such a big score...
Time to close a few running background apps and see if it matters..
Update2: tried again, with another lower score... Thermal throttling perhaps..?
Update 3: Better this time.

Reboot then force close the apps that start on boot. I'm about to try that to see if the Marshmallow memory management is better than previous versions.
That's a possibility. I just got this and my phone wasn't running hot. Benchmarks are so inconsistent and useless in most situations. Lol. My only guess for a practical application of this benchmark is to see what ROM runs better on the same hardware. The only real way to compare hardware would be to be running the same exact ROM on each phone then see how well the hardware can perform the tasks with that ROM, but then, the results could be in favor of the losing device with a different ROM. This is impossible to do though because certain things are required for certain hardware. I'm going off on a tangent now so I'm gonna stop here. Haha.
