Do you use the same kernel that Your ROM provides or do you branch off and use another?
I use the AnthraX kernel with CleanROM 1.7.5 and my rezound flies

If you're running the latest ICS leaks, it's the one that came with it or SebastianFM's overclock kernel, really nothing else out there since the source code hasn't been released for ICS kernels yet.

My setup is in my sig.
im still on GB and i run that bamf cubed kernel, seems very stable.
anthrax kernel on cr 1.75 gb as well. GREAT combo for emulation and overall app compatibility btw
I tried anthrax for a while but my system reset or boot looped at least once every 24 hours.
That doesn't work for me. I flashed to incredikernel 6 the day it was released and it has been 100% totally stable ever since. My system will basically run indefinitely without a reboot at this point.
Whenever I flash a new ROM or kernel, the first thing I do is run stability test v2.3 all night on it. If it's still running after that, I know it's good to go.
I had been running Incredikernel 6, and it was super stable.
I'm on Incredikernel 3-1 right now, its still really stable. I had a couple bootloops, but that was from playing with the voltages Backed off on the voltages a bit, its all good now.

I've never had 1 reboot or bootloop with AnthraX.
I am running the 3.0.16 kernel from Sebastian so far with no problems. Prior to that, I was using the stock HTC kernel from the leak before the last supposedly "official" leak..

How long have you run without rebooting??
The problems I had with anthrax seemed to be exactly the same as about half the posters in the thread on it.
I was checking every day for a while to see if it was updated, but it has been over a month with no updates & I think it's been abandoned at this point.

has anyone done this yet? i want to stay on ICS, but ever since the ICS firmware that i got when it first leaked, the battery has gone to ****. i see some people getting crazy battery life still on GB firmware but running ICS roms, so i'm wondering, where can i go to get the GB firmware back? if i were to flash that RUU or whatever (with s-off), then restore my nandroid from right now, would that restore my ICS firmware, or would that be good?

im doing it and i absolutely love it and you can still enjoy ics roms and sense 4 roms and have crazy battery.
to go back just backup and run the gb ruu and install the rom of your choice.

as for your nandroid question i honestly have no clue. youd have to ask someone whos more familiar with recoveries and how nandroid works
thanks dude! so you're running ics right now, and on gb firmware? what kind of battery life are yo getting?

Personally, I did the same , but didn't notice appreciably better battery life. Then again, I never really complained to begin with. I recently did flash back to the newest ICS leak so I could quit having to flash patches . I only have 3g though, and use wifi at home so your use will definately vary than mine .

Well this week im trying out clean rom gb. Last few weeks I was on the pokemon rom.
I get an easy 14 hr day with 3-4 hrs screen time and close to 5 if I'm lucky.. But you gotta take into account a few things if you want this kind of life:
1. I have debloated and desensed very extremely
2. I don't EVER use task killers. More harm than good
3. On incredikernel and have uc/uv
4. I use watchdog and autostart manager to watch my cpu usage.
If I didn't do this stuff my screen time would only be around 3hrs which is still great but I just like to push it

the complete 3.14 leak, only rooted it and froze all the bloatware.
it's fast, it's stable, and I get the same, if not better battery life than the stock GB I was on previously.
Currently at 53% battery at 10.5 hours on battery with 50 minutes of screen-on time.
I am s-off.

any idea if the nwe 3.2 version with the RIL fix is better? i was not very happy initially with that rom. was slow to me anyway. but i LOVE sense4.0.
CleanROM DE ... closest thing available to AOSP. The thing I really wished I had while on AOSP on the EVO 4G was the Sense camera and phone. This has it!

I also just installed Ineffabilis Deus 1.0 this morning and I'm liking it. I was a fan of the Ineffabilis GB roms also.
Rezrom 2.4, because I wanted an ICS ROM with Sense 4.0 and it looked to be the most stable. First time unlocking/rooting/flashing and I managed not to brick it
I was tired of waiting for the OTA, and that didn't even have Sense 4.0 so as far as I'm concerned right now this software is better than anything the Rezound will ever get officially.

I'm using my own ROM based off the initial ICS 4.0.1 leak.
I'm using this particular leak because it's an early build, so HTC hasn't made as many significant changes to ICS yet... it has a lot less "Sense" in it, and plays nicer with more true AOSP files, and requires little work to fix most of the annoying bugs. I've added in my own ramdisk, init.d support, SebastianFM's OC kernel, a lot of the usual optimizations (zipalign on boot, sdcard tweeks, etc), and its great! I am trying to get that 100% AOSP look, however I still have the stupid Sense call screens to figure out..
Clean Rom 4.5 because it works and it's pretty fast. I'd like to try a Sense 4 Rom, but I need Bluetooth so until that's stable I just can't do it. Not for any length of time anyway. Looking forward to AOSP and maybe MIUI (fond memories on my Inc) or at least kernels for better batt life.

Its possible that your phone is more sensitive to an overclock than others. Some just don't like it. You should be able to boot into recovery and flash the rom, just wipe cache, dalvik and system. You will still have all your settings but you will be back to the base kernel.

my phone does the same thing when i install that kernel, the lock screen flashes once when booting. but that is the only thing i notice. i dont believe i have seen any artifacts after my phone is booted up.
just reflash the rom if you seem to be having problems and it will put the stock kernel back.

i think/believe that in the old base, my phone was able to overclock over 1.8Ghz. Do you think it could be the kernel?

try to dl it again and check the md5 to make sure they match might just be a bad dl
If it was a bad dl the file integrity would be compromised, it would most likely not work at all.
That kernel just didn't play nice with my phone I tried just about every combo of settings
Same her I think I'm just going to wait it out, I install meanrom 4.7 and overclock still not working, I guess its a miss voltage or something. I hope I could overclock my phone soon.

Running 1/14/2013 and I get the same issue. The older 2.3.5 kernel has no trouble.
Also, while the kernels bench great and feel smooth, I've noticed audio pops with the headphone jack that don't show up with the stock CM10. Probably just some sort of IO priority issue somewhere but unfortunately a problem for me.

There a few good choices out right now, I'm curious to hear what rom Rezound users are using as their daily? Which rom are you using, for how long, what problems are you experiencing or have experienced and your current settings that are making your phone run so smooth?
We also have Beanstalk, XenonHD, Infection, PAC-Man, Tron, Rage, 10.1 & 10.2. I'm currently on LiquidSmooth, been on it for the past few weeks and it seems this could be the one, I'm tired of changing from rom to rom due to bugs.
Hopefully this thread can share others stories and opinions which can help in choosing a solid daily rom to use.

SHHH.
I usually run PAC, and am currently on izzaeroth's build of it, has been extremely stable for me. I've been running it for over a week, which is a pretty long time for me, but I've had no SoD's, no bootloops, no problems.
I've flashed most of the roms up here, and I always go back to PAC for the options. No offense to Neo, but his roms are the only ones that give me bootloops, so I've kinda been avoiding them lately.
I had been running Infection flawlessly (Built in kernel at 384Mhz minimum clock, default overclock built into ROM) until my contract ran out, then I switched my personal phone from a Rezound to a GSM unlocked phone on Net10 (HTC Aria right now, but a SGS2 Skyrocket is en route as I type). I would highly recommend it as a daily driver and good tweaker ROM.
My work Rezound is just out of warranty, and after running almost every major build here, I will likely be unlocking and switching to Liquid Smooth on that one, but that is just because I know it is rock solid stable and I want something different for a change, my employer doesn't care... Nothing wrong with Infection at all though, I would highly recommend it.
