hi all is there anybody in here from the north west uk who can jtag my samsung note and bring it back to life ??? i have tryed all the methods but it needs to be re-flashed useing the jtag method ????
If you're in the north west UK, I'd think you'd want the International Note forums:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1346
Besides, I don't think there is jtag available for the Note (either the NA or Intl versions).
EDIT: I stand corrected.

Hi guys,This is my first post here, this is an excellent forum, keep up the good work2! I am living in the UAE where it looks like the SGS2 wont see the light of day till Q3 2011, I cant wait till then so I am looking at my options. I am not very comfortable with ordering it online from sites like Expansys or Handtec, so would prefer getting it from a physical store.
I will be visiting South Korea very soon and have heard that the SGS2 is already on sale there. My questions are:
1) Are the Korean models (sold exclusively through the carriers I hear) fully unlocked?
2) I will be going to study in Manchester for the next two years, so would like to use the SGS2 there. Seeing that S Korea, UK (and the UAE) use the same GSM and 3G bands - 900/1800 and 3G 2100, I understand its possible but are there any other problems that could crop up? I cant find any specs online for the Korean SGS2.
Thank you!
[EDIT]
Guess noone knows or must be thinking that I didnt search before starting a new thread. Thanks to those who did help! Found the answer from a variety of sources, just listing here in case anyone needs it:
The Korean SGS2 are not quad-band, and are physically thicker due to the inclusion of NFC and a TV tuner. Some carriers have different (non global) MMS standards as well. I have been informed that they are probably locked as well and available on contract to locals only. Also the Indian SGS2 has NFC and costs just 675$ to 700$, guess I will just get it from India!
I will tell you what i know.(it is not 100 sure.)
You are correct that there are three different models of SGS2 in korea.
If you want to use the phone in UK,
You should buy SHW-250K( from KT, one of the service provider)
it meets the mms standard of other countries.
Once again this information is not sure.
I need someone's confirmation for this.
Thanks.
If you're going in on a standard tourist visa then you will NOT be able to buy a phone, even outright. Phones are only available to locals and people on long term visas.
Yeah, get it from India.
Waiting on my new Streak to arrive .. Now I am getting antsy.
1. Wondering if there are differences between the Pre-Release Streak. It was unlocked for T-Mobile and AT&T .and the model that the Post office is taking their sweet time to deliver .. AWS apparently is going to give me T-Mobile 3G but are there other differences? I guess the only ones would would know would have had both or read A LOT OF POSTS .. I have read several ...
2. Where did the AWS models originally come from? Direct from Dell? or from outside the USA? Mine came from eBay but I believe the seller said that he got them from outside of the USA. Maybe I am confusing 2 sellers.

you need to find out if your country's uses the same frequency as the Korean model. I know its 2100 for S Korea but there could be more. The reason why Korean is cheaper could be that only S Korea or a few country's is compatible with Korean models.
I'm using SHV-E210S for a week now, so far it works in China, HK, S'pore and Indonesia. So I guess should be not much different from the international version. There are a few issues I discovered with this model.
1. Battery size is smaller than the international version so you may need to buy backup battery from Korea.
2. Unable to upgrade software/firmware unless you use SK Telecom's USIM.
The advantage I found:
1. This Korean model sports 2GB RAM whereas the international model only has 1GB RAM
Anyone knows more? Pls share!
Dear all,
I'm brazilian and my girlfriend is going to Los Angeles and New York next month, I want to know if she can get a Galaxy S III international model in any physical store in these two cities, or if I'll have to order online in some store and ask to ship to her hotel?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if I posted something wrong or in a wrong place.
I doubt it, I'm not a US resident but from what I know all brand new smart phones are locked by some sort of carrier and most of the phone sales are the north american version (snapdragon qualcomm dual core/ 4g LTE).
I believe that the only way to get the Samsung Galaxy S III International Model will be through ebay otherwise any online store. Could somebody tell me how did you get your international model living in USA?
Thanks
I am in NYC and I have them in both colors, as many as you need (I import and resell cell phones). Contact me.

If this model doesn't is sold in USA stores, because in carriers (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, ... ) you only have the american models. how did you get it? Ebay, some store that import it, someone who sells, did you understand?...
I currently own a SAMSUNG Galaxy S 7 international variant or SM-G930F which was purchased through BHPhotoVideo. Sadly, they're only selling the North American Variant (which is the SnapDragon variant) and I don't know where I can go to find the international Exynos version. Their website offered reasonable priced unlocked international mobile devices and handled warranties if you needed to return or exchange your device. I already purchased the unlocked Snapdragon SGS9+ through the Samsung website but I wish I could get my hands on the Exynos version. Does anybody know of a reliable online retailer where I can find the unlocked international version? Thanks in advanced.
eBay?

This ebay vendor in Florida offers Exynos variants. Manufactured in Viet Nam but don't expect a warranty.

Clove UK
I am in the US but want the Exynos version of the S9+ (hoping that BCM47755 chip will someday allow 2 cm GNSS resolution). I have read many previous threads about the advantages of European models from Clove (good reputation, two year warranty) vs Asian models from various Ebay vendors (more mixed reputation, no warranty).
Clove is roughly $300 dollars more than the Ebay vendors and I am wondering if I am going to flash a new ROM and void the warranty anyway. is there any reason not to save the money?
