Also you can find something useful about "battery low" condition in this thread:

Had bricked one myself. My situation was pretty bad: battery dead and no system installed. The thread that I posted a link to has the easiest way to unbrick. I couldn't make a factory cable so someone in the thread suggested an alternative (cut a USB cable in half and connect two wires to the battery(very easy). After the battery was ok using RSd lite wouldn't work for me at all so I found another tool that worked perfectly. If you go to my last post in the other thread you'll find the link. With all the files and the cable attached you'll unbrick your razr in ten minutes. Read the thread that I've attached and ask me if anything ill be happy to help

Well first of all i have the xt912 model and i plugged it in to wall charger and charged it for bout 15 min then i unpluged it BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT it could not boot into anything it would just show a flash which was green on the screen. That enough?
What i did was:
take the battery cover off and connect the half-usb to the battery connectors (described in the other thread)
then i plugged that into the wall charger and aparently that was wrong (but it charged my battery anyway) it now said "battery ok" in the fastboot menu.
what you were supposed to do and what i did after was plug the cable that is connected straight to the battery, into a pc and another normal usb cable as usual to a pc also. So once again: both usb are in the pc, with one connected to the phone normally through the micro usb hole and another half-cable connected to the battery.
then boot into ap fastboot (hold down all three buttons i believe and select from the menu)
then plug in and do your thing with rsd. This should work. If rsd doesnt work then try the moto tool that is in the last comment of that thread.
See if this helps...

I feel this charging method very unsafe and it cause damage your phone and battery. If this method workedout and phone becomes back to normal suddenly you will get exceed voltage from both the USB cables. Safe method is , first fully charge the battery using above method and disconnect battery terminal and do your flash work.

I tried to find the answer without posting a new thread. I honestly did. But I'm stuck and it's 6am and I thought I'd ask while I'm still semi-literate.
I soft bricked the **** out of my atrix. I was flashing an sbf to it using rsdlite. All was going smoothly BUT I am a jackass and my phone battery was like... 20% so it died halfway through and now, all I get is:
SVF: 105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
NO OS Detected, Going to RSD mode,
a menu of options,
etc.
Now I made a factory dev cable by connecting the 5v to pin 4. So I can get this far without the stupid battery message. My problem is that I can't do anything else?! While before (when it was working) it came up in RSDlite when it was in RSD, now it doesn't
I reinstalled drivers and RSDlite, rebooted, tried different computers and tried differed USB ports...
I'm not sure what the problem is? I just cant get my computer to see it, even though it turns on and gives me the menu as soon as I plug it in. If I press the up volume key when I plug it in I get
SCF:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
PwrReason: Factory_Cable
PwrReason: Power_Cut
Starting Fastboot protocol support.
That's all I've got. Please guys, I really need my phone and I need to find a way to get that sbf on there!
Thanks
Edit: Just like to add that I'm running Windows 7, 32 bit with the latest drivers and rsd lite 5.3.1
Is there any chance the second time you are starting RSD you haven't opened the application using administrative privileges?
I'm assuming he knows you can't flash with a certain battery percentage. You've tried charging it and trying again right?
Thanks for the replies guys,
Admin privileges isn't the problem I'm sure of that.
I ran around the last few days trying to find somewhere to charge the battery (motorola phones are pretty much nonexistent in Australia) and try again, I just assumed the factory/dev cable would circumvent that problem. Anyway I had no luck so I bought a standalone charger off ebay which should come on monday.
I'll try when I get the battery charged and post the results in case anyone has a similar problem.
Fingers crossed!
Mine did that too cause I did the same thing and didn't fully charge my battery. Everything worked out when I let it charge for a little while.

you can pull out the battery and plug it into a wall charger, and it should boot into a charging mode.
if that doesn't work, you could also rip apart an old USB cable and connect the positive and negative wires to the positive and negative contacts of the battery while it's plugged into the phone - this will force a current into the battery and charge it up. you can look for a video on youtube that shows you how to do it if you just search 'charge any phone without a charger'
Can't you just do a factory reset?
In any case this should help you without having to flash any sbfs

If not then the sbf should be here:

If you're on AT&T in the US I think you'd need the first one.
I have a droid razr that I rooted back in october when I first came out. It has worked perfectly fine up until last night when out of no where is just powered down and restarted. Once it restarted I realized it wasn't making it past the splash screen(if that's what it is called) and then reboots. It does this over and over. I downloaded Gingerbread 2.3.5 CDMA Droid Razr XT912 Verizon USA [Fastboot Files] and RSDlite so I could get my phone back to stock. Well before I was able to get into the fastboot loader my phone's battery ended up dieing. I plug it in to charge and it shows an empty battery with a question mark in the middle of it. Some please help cause I don't know if my battery is even taking a charge or if there is a better method to getting this fixed.
How long have you let it sit on the charger? You need a factory cable from team black hat. Google it. Not sure if they have any left out of this batch though.

Same thing happened to me when in RSDLite. I just restarted the computer and phone and it worked.
I tried rebooting and I still get the failed message in the rsdlite 5.6

I think there are 2 fast boot menus. Get to that screen again and hit volume down until you see "AP Fast boot" or something like that. Then hit volume up. Try RSD again.

No, you can purchase the cable from "Team Black Hat". The factory cable allows you to flash on RSD Lite without requiring your phone to have battery charge.

I have been seeing many threads here. One of them suggested to charge in AP fastboot mode using the buttons but that didn't work for me. I am yet to try the cable method.
Is there any other way out?
Guys, I cannot understand why users are trying to flash with low battery again and again. The problem is already known well, am I right?
So, put your device on the charger, NOT TO THE PC. Wait a while and check if it's charging. Maybe you are able to put the device into the fastboot mode only for a short moment, there you can shut it down pressing the power button shortly. The you should be able to charge it normally. If not, try a factory cable. AND at least: READ THE FORUMS!!!
Edit: And do NOT charge it with your PC! It will only charge with you charger.

doubt it, ive been trying endless methods to try make it work as waiting for factory cable from ebay is gonna be like 20-25working days, not counting the despatch of the item after 3 business days of payment being received. god that is soooooo long 4 me!! arghhhh

Don't be scared by the name, it's just a modified cable you do by yourself.

You just buy the factory cable.it can solved the issue. just PM me.
I have rooted and unlocked the bootloader on my Atrix 4g. I have the CWM installed. I formatted everything in preparation for installing a custom rom. However, my battery died before I could install the new rom. No problems yet, as I can plug the charger in and get into bootloader. However, the battery doesn't seem to be charging. I left it plugged in for hours and when I try to boot into fastboot it give me a message saying:
"Battery is too low to flash"
So I am unable to do anything through fastboot. How can I get my battery charged enough to work with fastboot? As I said, I've plugged it into the charger for several hours and it just sat there in the bootloader with the "Unlocked" message. Apparently it powers on, but won't charge the battery here.
Any thoughts on how to the get battery charged enough to use fastboot?
You can't charge the battery from fastboot mode unless you have one of the factory cables like the ones that Team Black Hat sells (here's a video about it)
Edit: It doesn't actually charge the battery, just allows it to get enough power to run as if it was plugged into the wall.
Here's the thing, with fastboot, it'll stop allowing it to activate even before the battery is totally dead. I made a similar mistake to the one you made, but I was about to bypass the low battery warning by starting my phone while it was plugged into the wall charger, entering fastboot, then removing the charger and plugging it into my computer. This is obviously risky if your battery dies while you're in the middle of something, but I've had it work before, I just wouldn't recommend it.
Is there anyway to charge the battery without having the special adapter if I don't have a rom installed?
I had it plugged into the wall charger for hours just sitting at the bootloader screen (not fastboot). It just says "Unlocked" with the Motorola logo. I don't need to run the fastboot right away, I can wait until the battery charges, but it never does. My bootloader has a few options:
Fastboot
NvFlash
BP HW Bypass RSD
BP HW Bypass QC DLOAD
BP HW Diag & Boot AP
BP HW Bypass BP Only
BP SW Bypass RSD
Android Recovery
Boot Android (No BP)
Device UID
console=tty50,115200n8
Early USB Enumeration
BP Tools
RSD
1. I've tried selecting nothing with the wall charger plugged in for hours and still get the battery warning when trying to use Fastboot.
2. I've tried selecting Fastboot with the wall charger plugged in for hours, same message
3. I've tried selecting "Android Recorvery" with the wall charger for hours, same message
Is there anything I can select above that will allow my battery to charge when plugged into the wall? If I can get it charged, then I can use Fastboot no problem.
Any suggestions?
How about if you dont turn the phone on?
As in.. pull the battery, then reinsert and then just plug into wall charger. Do you get the battery charging animation?
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
I thought of this and tried it first, but as soon as I plug in the wall charger, I see the green LED come on, then I see the bootloader screen. I can't seem to have it plugged in without it turning itself on.
If you don't have a booting ROM, you're SOL, just like I said. Your only option is to find another way to charge the battery (like a charging dock just for the battery), use a factory cable, or trick fastboot like I outlined in my previous post.

I tried this, but when it enters Fastboot with the wall charger, I get the "Battery is too low to flash". So this doesn't really help. Even if I switch it over to the USB, that message is still on the screen.
sorry if this post is not very revelant for you but, here is the deal
Motorola Atrix got its battery states by a system file called BACCD and/or similar if i remimber it right, to be able to read the information out of the battery, but you need two tings first !
First : A valid BOOT partition : right now your phone will NEVER EVER go past that logo boot screen even after a wole week pluged in .. you will just hurt your lcd as it is always turned on, cause there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BOOT !!!! Awkward situation ... i know !!!! :S ive been there !
Second : A working ROM that has the permissions fixed and fonctionnal for the kernel to be able to tell inside the boot protocol script that you wont boot up android, you just want to charge it !
Then, you can have a charging state (with that particular system file)
So, unfortunatly, this is a MUST ! you must do everything to save the battery consumation until you have flashed a ROM and fixed permission (dont really need to actually boot it, as long as it has the boot partition and the system files) so that way you wont be running out of battery
So actually, someone vcorrect me if im wrong but you got 3 choices : buy yourself an MB860 Battery Charger Module, A home made factory cable at least, or borrow an BHX9 battery from a frien just for flashing if you are lucky and someone you know close to you that has that kind of battery, cause there is NO knowned ways to charge a bettery within the phone without an operationnal system and Boot protocol installed to the phone ! Sorry
Ok, I solved the problem by "hot wiring" the phone battery. I found this information on another forum and used the technique to trick Fastboot into thinking the battery had full power (when I is really powered from USB):
NOTE: I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE DONE TO ANY PHONE, BATTERY, ETC. FOLLOW THESE STEPS WITH CAUTION TO AVOID RISK OF DAMAGE.
1. Take your cable and cut off one of the ends, leaving a standard USB plug at the opposite end to plug into your computer.
2. Now you need to strip about and inch of the wire off until you get to the core where you should see 4 colored wires (red, black, white, and green). The colors don't really matter and they may vary, just as long as you can see a red wire and a black wire.
3. Strip off about a quarter inch of the rubber sleeving on the red and black cables, exposing the actual metal wire.
4. Twist the metal strands of each of the wires a couple of times so that all of the wires from the black cable are together and all of the wires from the red cable are together. This is just to make sure that you don't create a short circuit.
5. Here's where it gets a little tricky. You are going to use this cable to make the phone think the battery is fully charged, when in fact you will just be powering the phone using the power from the USB port. Pull out the battery on your phone and find the 4 exposed metal slots (the battery terminals).
6. Each of the far terminals should be labeled with a plus (+) or a minus (-). What you need to do is put exposed leads on the red wire up to the positive terminal and the leads of the black wire up to the negative terminal.
I was just able to do what I needed in Fastboot and now I'm back in business. Thanks for the advice.

Yup, I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly. It was a little tricky making sure that the red/black wires were secured to the proper battery leads and not touching others. But a little tape held it in place nicely.
I needed to get into Fastboot to install a newer/working version of CWD. For some reason the version I had on there wasn't able to flash a custom rom. It said it flashed it completely, but then I was never able to boot into anything.
After doing the above procedure I was able to get a working version of CWD using Fastboot. Then I was able to install the custom rom. Now I'm up and running perfectly with Jelly Bean!

That's good advice for next time I screw my phone up. I'll definitely give that a try.
I used a USB cable from an old Sony Ericsson phone that I haven't used for years. It seems that all USB cables have the same 4 wires in it, so I just cut that one up since I didn't need it anymore.
You need to buy something like this

So I wanted CM 10 on my phone and did all the reading as was following a guide. I got as far as installing CM 10 and on the initial start-up it says it can take up to five minutes.. Well, it sits there forever and goes there every time I reboot.
Now, when I hold the volume and power buttons it goes into Android system recovery <3e> I know I had to boot into bootstrap recovery to be able to load the file off my external drive - otherwise you get the failed signature and it won't load.
Can I do anything here to fix my phone? I don't don't care what I loose, I need this working.
Thanks-
Kyle
Ok - so I'm trying to fastboot VRZ_XT912_6.5.1-73_DHD-11_TA-3_1FF_02 onto my phone bia FlashME as RSD Lite will no longer work and its telling me battery low.
I've had this plugged into a Motorola branded wall charger for nearly 4 hours and it still says battery low. Im switching to the dual usb black square charger and a Motorola branded usb cable and trying again - after this I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to charge it...
holding volume and power and going to bp tools to get the battery meter to show does nothing, sits at moto screen forever... I dont want to claim this on my insurance - but I may have to. Help?

To charge the phone, you will now need the Motorola factory Charging Cable that bridges pin 4 with pin 1...anyways this will allow the phone to charge now that it is stuck in bootloop. The bridging of the pins allows the phone to think it is in the factory programming mode, allowing it to charge.
I would include a link to the post, but I am a new member...can't post links...but Google the below search term, and there is a few sites on how to make the cable, or where to buy it.
Now, I believe this will solve your charging issue. I don't know about flashing back to stock or making the ROM work, and I would look around a little more on the subject of this cable because I just stumbled across a thread about this a few days ago. A quick Google/XDA search on "Motorola Factory Charge Cable Razr" Should be sufficient.
---EDIT---
After looking through the forums again, I found a thread that may help you...it is in the middle of this forum, and it is called Low Battery charge in Ap Fastboot Fix. Take a look at that and it may help you.
Its toast - wont charge. took it all apart, hacked a cable and put the leads on the battery and gave up. put it back together - calling asurian to get a replacement. **** this thing
