After restoring my user apps+system data when I try to move app data to sd card , Titanium Backup says No Data2SD directory detected.
Any idea why . ? Before it worked perfectly ..

Full SD Backup with app2sd on Windows

Hi all, how can I backup (and restore) app2sd data in ext2 partition with windows o directly on the phone?
If i restore a backup of my rom with xRecovery and i change sdcard i lost app2sd data...
Possible with Paragon Software I think.
On your phone, you can use Titanium Backup which will backup all your apps from the EXT partition to a folder on your FAT partition on your SD Card. You can restore them too!
(You can then view them in Windows).
If you want to see the apps again on a rom without App2SD then all you need to do is to re-install App2SD.
All your programs will appear again as they are not deleted when you change ROMs, the ROM just doesn't know how to see them!
I'm not sure how to do it directly with a PC?!
Ok,
i didn't find an ext explorer for windows working ... I will do it with Titanium

That's because the ext cant be explored like any other partition, files can't be understood like we understand them in FAT and NTSC. If you don't care about the saved data, you can just backup them all by copying all the apks in /data/app with root explorer.

i think xRecovery backups system and data folders. For apps in sdcard you need Titanium backup or myBackup root ... IMHO

[Q] .android_secure backup issue.

Hello, when i try backup my current default ROM, everything goes fine until it reaches .Android_secure and says "Error while making a bacup of /sdcard/.android_secure!"
No idea whats wrong.
I've tried backing up via the ROM manager and the Nandroid method.
Using ROM Manager to backup is a nandroid backup... the back up you're referring to is just the app data you had installed on your SD card. Perhaps you can choose to restore the other partitions but leave out the android secure image...
Edit: Oh, I misunderstood your post. You're trying to back up... well, you could move the apps you have on your SD card back to your phone and then create the backup. That will eliminate the need for the android secure image.

make a backup of all your apps, with titanium backup or mybackup, format your app partition to ext, but i recommend you go for ext3 or ext4 depending on the method you are going to use (i use a2sd in minicm7), then install all your apps again from the backup, also make a CWM backup just in case
Thx man,,check ur pms
