[BUG?] GPS Locations - HTC Titan

Hi everyone!
It might be useful for those who have used the latest stock ROM from forum to update or those who have 2.1 bootloader and 8710 update on their titans.
After going to the latest firmware, bootloader and OS update, I have had my battery life nearly go half. My overnight 'idle' battery drain was about 7-8% per hour. To me that is unstable!
No hard resets, re-flash helped me.
2G only connection or WiFi off did not solve it either. I've also spent a week on only stock apps - nothing changed.
However, after last night's flash, I have disabled all my location based service which I did not try before. As soon as we use maps, weather or IE, the pop up asks us if we want to allow location services, I always said yes. This time I din't. I said no, then went to Settings and disabled: Feedback, Location and Find my Phone.
It's been 6 hours and I've woke up with 96% battery remaining. I am well happy! BTW, I have all other syncs, chats etc on along with wifi and 3g connection too.
I don't know if anyone wants to try or add anything to it. But if more Titan users confirm that switching off GPS on the latest updates helps, then it coul either be a bug we are gifted or that Titan GPS don't sleep at all (?). If not, it could just be that my 12th flash of ROM was lucky

I am just about to send in my X310E to the Texas HTC US to get them fix my GPS.
my GPS went nuts , it is having a hard time to find where i am...

It 99% is the GPS bug.
I've used my phone for 38 hours now. I still have more than 20% battery remaining. It's on 3G. No location services enabled.

GPS takes long to find satellites in Radio 3.39.10?

It used to take me under 5 seconds to lock onto a satellite using 3.35 radio, now that I upgraded to the leaked 3.39 radio and DCD 3.1.2 rom it's taking exactly 13seconds to lock onto a satellite.
Does anyone have similar results or is it better for you? please post your times and comments thanks!
well it takes me around 10-12 seconds consistently with 3.39.10, whether indoors or outdoors, in any weather conditions. but, thats the best result i've ever had. 3.35 and 3.37 both took a minute or more to lock for me.

Have you tried something like QuickGPS? I know DCD has a cab for it in the kitchen 3.1.2 thread. It speeds it up a lot.
10-13 SECONDS.... are you kiddin me.... My friend, sometimes I have to wait a minute, so if you have to wait 13 seconds, please consider yourself lucky that your hardware locks on that fast....
i agree, the time you use to open up quickgps or some other program would be longer than waiting the 13 seconds...im happy if i get a lock after a minute or two. sometimes takes closer to 5...
10-15 seconds, I would love that on a consistent basis.
Ok I've been meaning to say something about this ever since the leak from Sprint enabled GPS on our phones...just haven't gotten around to it.
I'm willing to bet a MILLION dollars that I don't have that the gpsone chip in our phones has some sort of built in cache memory that stores the last long and lat coordinates.
It's so weird, EVERY time I flash to a new rom, or even flash the same rom over itself, when I load up Google Maps (brand new Google Maps with all the caches cleared obviously cuz of the flash), IMMEDIATELY the map shifts over to where I was last, THEN it tries to acquire satellites. Once the sats are locked, it updates to where I'm actually at.
I just wonder if there's any way to clear the cache LOL
I flashed the "Leaked" rom,DCD was right,it took about 10 seconds to find and locked for me,same as the 3.35 ROM.
I get a lock in 30 seconds using WiFiFoFum
takes about 10 seconds for me to get a lock...
i couldn't imagine getting a lock in under 5 seconds, and even if i did, getting one in 10 seconds, while being twice the time, isn't much of a real world difference.
i guess it would really matter if you were converting phones into missile guidance systems...
nevermind guys...i was testing it indoors and thats what gave me 13 seconds...im now in my car and googlemaps only takes 5 seconds to lock onto 8+ satellites. yay im happy again

No, there's a GPS chip in there. It looks very quickly sometimes under 10 seconds for me when in a decent coverage area.
I recently used it in an area where I had ZERO Sprint, Alltel, or Verizon coverage. Not a wiff of CDMA for many miles. The GPS worked great and tracked us with no issues.

i think you are misinterpreting his question. he did word it weirdly, but he said, hed be willing to be a million dollars that he doesnt have....
that the chip in his phone, etc...
obviously we have a gps chip in the phone, thats how we get gps coverage....
but ive tried to lock gps with no service, and havent been able to.
is this just bad luck on my part, or is there a way to get a gps lock in airplane mode, or in another country where i wouldnt have service.
thanks

Wow, I thought it was just me that noticed that. Glad someone else did too. I thought it had something to do with a small cache in the GPS chip as well.
BTW Speeds to lock:
3.27 - With DCD (Beta kitchen maybe, I forget) Hardly ever locked so I cant tell you. Got Locks maybe twice a day while trying 30 to 50 times a day.
Changed Moguls at this point due to my puppy eating it. Sorry didint think to grab pics as I had other things on my mind at that point.
3.27 - This was a band new hanset now and I flashed 3.27 and got the exact same results I did the with first handset.
3.35 - With DCD (3.0.1) - Not much better but more consistent locking. Times from 30 seconds (rare) to 5 minutes (average)
3.37 - (DCD 3.0.4) - Fast locks nearly every time, 30 to 60 seconds. First time ever reception indoors. Three sats in my basement office.
3.39 sprint upgrade with a DCD 3.0.4 - INSANELY Fast. After burning the sprint radio I swapped over to a DCD 3.0.4 ROM. You wont beleive this but I made my own OEM for GPS Today. It had 4 satellites even before the phone finished booting the first time! I am not joking! I was amped. Rebooted hard and soft, reloaded differnt roms, tried reverting back to old radio then testing then back again to 3.39. Same results I recieved the first time when I went back to 3.37. Then came back to 3.39 and it was just as fast as ever. This the most solid GPS radio I have ever seen, PERIOD. Faster than any mobile unit I have ever used.
Now what I am about to tell is somewhat of an oddity to me. During my flashng and reflashing of the radio I tried differnt methods. First I flashed back to Sprint 3.35 so I could get the HTC boot screens I liked and then I figured I would flash only the radio via SD. Formmated the card, loaded the ROM, rebooted and the flash went perfect. But this is where it gets odd. With all of the same ROMS noted above I couldn't get a lock at all! I actually had to reflash using the sprint 3.39 leak. I then flashed with a PPC kitchen to get rid of the boot screens this time. Then flashed my best brew of DCD 3.0.4 and this thing is still solid. I even let it sleep overnight, turn it on frist thing in the morning and it gets a lock in under 45 seconds!
(And yes I am sure the flash via SD was succesful)

ActiveSync sinking locks?
I've been using all of the DCD Rom's and have had various levels of locking success, but just ran into something odd - If ActiveSync is running - locks take much much longer, if ever, but if I completely close ActiveSync with task manager - I get locks in seconds. Has anyone else noticed this - and - is it possible to prevent ActiveSync from auto-starting?
I wonder if that is my problem. It takes my a painfully long time to get an initial GPS lock with 3.35 and DCD 3.04. Sometimes it is fairly quick, others it is over 1/2 hour.
However, I have Exchange email push running all the time so ActiveSync is constantly up and doing it's thing.
Quick question, Does QuickGPS need to be running in the background for it to help, or do I just run the update then close it down?
GPS works in Flight Mode!
I recently took a flight from Palm Beach to DC and decided to do a little test while on the plane. I turned on my phone and fired up my garmin mobile XT GPS. The first attempt it locked on to about 10 satelites in under 5 minutes and worked perfectly while in airplane/flight mode. Obviously you can't do this with Google Maps because the maps are downloaded via the data connection, which you don't have at 35000 feet! However it was pretty cool to see the speed of the plane (612 mph) and track my flight path. But to all who were wondering it does work!

I believe it jumps near your location because it knows the coordinates of the cell tower you're connected to.

I don't think you read my post carefully...I said it jumps to where I was LAST...not close to where I am. For instance, say I was in Boston and use the GPS, then I turn it off and go home and reflash a rom. All system settings are erased and all system caches are gone and everything is new. I then go to New York and turn the GPS back on, and it jumps to where I was in Boston before it locks any satellites. I was saying that this leads me to believe there is some sort of cache on the gpsone chip that stores last location coordinates or something.

That's weird. For me whenever i flash and go to Google Maps it always goes either to California (I'm in Mass) or it goes to a blue screen with the flashing blue dot. It's not always reliable which one but it's always one of the 2. Once i get my first fix though then whenever i turn my GPS on it DOES jump to the last position i was in.

No, when I FIRST load Google Maps, it starts up in California, but when I activate the GPS is when it goes to the cached position I was in last, until it locks on to the satellites, then it jumps to where I'm actually at.
There's gotta be a cache.

DCD 4.1.2 Battery Life Issues (What Could be Causing Shorter Life Span)

Hi all, I installed DCD roms recently and its been going great. First, I'd like to thank dcd for putting this rom out. Phone is super responsive and not slow like sprints bloated POS rom.
Ok, one issue that I am having is the battery life. Last night I went to the gym as usual and ran XM radio for an hour or so. When I got done my battery was down to 10% from 70% something that wasn't the case with the older older ROM. I have the same applications and using habits as before so something must be causing the mass drain. I am hoping its some setting I must have missed. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
Here is a list of apps I have installed.
-Sktools
-TomTom
-MusicID
-XM
-SPB Mobile Shell (Weather is set to auto as it was in the past)
-Diamond Keyboard
-HTC Quick GPS (this is something new that I installed to get quicker lock when running TomTom, I didn't use this in my last sprint install. Patched exe and registry edit btw)
-Resco Explorer
-HTC Calculator
-HTC Task Manager
1 email address checking every 30 min and 2 emails checking every 4 hours (same as before). Previously I had it set to check every 5 minutes with the sprint rom and never had this massive battery drop.
In the phone settings there is an option for hybrid, EVO, and 1X. I oringally left the DCD default install of "Hybrid". I have now switched it over to 1X to see if this helps after some reading.
I have also noticed that the data connection icon turns on and off a lot. I don't know what else aside from email, and the weather program would auto turn on the connection. I don't think the QuickGPS would be turning itself on and off non stop because in the settings I have it set to not auto download when the data expires.
I am having this same issue with this ROM. I had this rom installed a couple of weeks ago and didn't really notice any battery issues. I tried some other rom's out and went back to 4.1.2. Now I have to charge a couple of times a day. I can't figure out what is causing it though. Otherwise, I love it! I hope someone can help.
hm..I don't notice any battery drain THOUGH i do notice..that I can't download anything off IE now..I click the link and nothing happens..Windows Live Search attempted to update itself and opened IE to download the new version..only it sat on a download bar for half an hour with no advance
Ok well lets keep this thread on topic, (battery life). I don't see an official dcd 4.1.2 discussion yet unless its buried.
PS I just remembered I forgot to mention that I am streaming the music to my bluetooth headset. I wonder if whats causing the quick drain has to do with bluetooth. Someone mentioned that in another thread.
reissc1 are you noticing the battery drain while using bluetooth?

a2dp a battery eater. the rom is not the problem. to test run this rom without your software installed and leave it overnight. unless you have a bad battery, you will see little or no drop at all.
Cloves your battery is going bad
I have gone through a couple. The OEM shop has them for OTD for $15.00, that includes shipping. Great deal, I just ordered one right now. I have 2 Titans so I go through batteries.
dcd 4.1.2 is fine.
My battery is not going bad. My phone is less then a year old and as I mentioned earlier, the day prior to installing the new ROM and doing the same exact pattern and running XM and bluetooth etc there was no massive battery drain as the day I ran xm and bluetooth on DCD.
The ROM is 100% better then the sprint ROM don't get me wrong. But I want to figure out how to stop the mass battery drain.
Does anyone know how the bluetooth is different then the stock bluetooth? I am not 100% sure but I did notice that the bluetooth sounded a lot better with this ROM. But then again that could all just be mental. Perhaps this ROM uses some of the BT tweaks from the forum.
Bluetooth
I think this is looking like a bluetooth issue. Phone barely lost any battery last night while I was sleeping.
Someone mentioned massive battery drain while using bluetooth in the older rom as well.

I turn my bt on and off throughout the day. So. I am not sure if that is the cause. I will pay attention to that and see if it makes any difference.
I only turn on my bluetooth when I am using it (while I am working out). Keep us posted.
Hey all, DCD 4.1.2, 3.42.50 radio, 1.35_002 PRI. I have the phone checking 2 email accounts every 60 minutes and have installed a pdf reader, google maps, htc gps tool, nav n go igo 8, quick gps, and wmwifirouter. I rarely use any of these apps, but I notice that my battery will drain quickly throughout the day. I don't make/receive alot of calls, but if i start at 100% in the morning, it's easy to get down to 30% by the evening. This happened with my past battery as well as the new one I just installed. I don't use bluetooth either, any ideas for how to slow/fix this issue?
I run M2D, which drains battery on it's own, but i don't run bluetooth, and i also notice a sizable drain. I was able to run R4R (whatever the newest release is 1.3.4 i think) with almost a 2 day battery life. Now i am running dcd 4.1.2 M2D 22 and the Rhodium menu enhancements, and i can barely make it through a day. There has to be a leak in the ROM somewhere.

Huge battery drain when idle

Hello everyone,
My s6 Edge does not go to sleep. It drains huge amount of battery while idle.
I need urgent help. I have disabled all AT&T bloatware. But it still does not work.
I have also tried hard resetting it, it does not work. Battery continues to drain.
Thank You.
Is this something new or has it always been like this? Btw, which version of LP are you on? 5.0.2 or 5.1.1?
Its new, LP v. 5.0.2

5.0.2 seems to be notorious for battery drains...check if your device has the 5.1.1 update which seems to be better in terms of RAM management. Also, are you data or wifi...if on data, then LP is again notorious for a world famous "mobile radio active" bug...it's all over the web...So, the best solution would be to either put the phone in deep freezer until Google fixes the huge bugs in LP or sell your phone...just kidding...
After updating your device (if there's any), do a factory reset...it should solve your problems...hopefully
Does not go to sleep? Check your settings about screen timeout..The battery drain can be fixes through system update..if samsung has any update ready

I hard reseted my phone, disable all bloatwares, haven't installed any apps, haven't signed in to anything (even google, only signed into samsung account). charged to 100%. Left the phone for 4-5 hrs, battery drained to 81%.

I was going to say just make sure you dont have too many apps running and you can also download a battery saving app on the play store for free which can help. It sounds like theres something you have running draining your battery though. Keep in mind however that the galaxy s6 edge when charged to 100 percent can hold a charge for quite awhile, but if your only charging it too around 40 or 50 percent it will die rather quickly.

What does it tell you in the battery stats? That's the first place to look. Is Screen at the top or something else like Google Services or a fitness tracking app? Send a screenshot of that as a starter for 10.

Your best bet is to install TWRP, root, and flash "No deep sleep fix", thats if you dont care about tripping knox of course.
Seems like an aggressive suggestion since we don't know the root cause yet. It might not be a wake lock issue; it could be location tracking or updates getting stuck. I'd rather see the battery stats first.
Screen is not even on the list, i haven't used my device for more than 15-20 mins (used chrome & inbox for 15-20 mins in the morning)

Google Services like I thought. There's a number of things that can cause this as it's quite a fundamental service. The most simple fixes are:
- Make sure there's no pending updates in the Play store. These can work havoc with the battery when waiting for manual approval
- If this doesn't work, remove your google account, reboot and re-add it. For some reason this can fix the sync issues that cause drain
- Still no dice? The next one is to backup, factory format then restore your backup. It's a bit extreme but sometimes when you update your software it causes a glitch that only goes away with a factory format
Each time you try a fix, let the battery fully charge then check the stats a couple of hours later.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will let u know the results soon.

You're welcome. If it's any conciliation I had exactly the same issue and fixed it this morning with those steps.
Google services is one of the biggest battery user but it still doesn't explain his erratic battery loss. I never turn off any features and get decent life.

Tried the third step many times before, didn't work.
So, yesterday I tried the 1st & 2nd step, worked like a charm, I was happy but today, the same results (battery was draning like i was playing games). So I completely removed my google account and left my phone for a few hours. Here is the result (see attached). As you can see no Stupid Google Play Services in the list but what is eating my battery ????

Again, LP has a world famous bug called the "Mobile Radio Active" bug. What this means that if an app uses the data services for some odd reason LP keeps the mobile radio open even if the app does not need it any more...So, for all you know ur issue is Android related and not your device specific. Oh btw, the upcoming M also has this confounded bug...so I believe we will be plagued by this bug for the foreseeable future...And I dumped my iPhone for this buggy Android...Dang!
How is your reception, If most of the time your phone struggle to get reception, it may be part of the problem, just my 2 cents, not an expert, but myself trying to get rid of the google service battery bug...
Better battery stats would give detailed information as to the cause, yet it requires root on all lollipop devices. Helped me find the exact cause of my phone never sleeping

Battery drain while in deep sleep

Hi!
I need some advices. I own a Tab S3 SM-T820 (new) for three months now. All is OK. But, all of the sudden, after testing a LineageOS build (latest for bonuzz), I wasn't satisfied with battery drain, so reverted back to stock nougat. But battery drain never went away! Usually, while screen off overnight, the battery would drain 1-2% (I always switch off my wifi). But now, same situation, but drain is 15% overnight. I have done a lot of research, used tools to pinpoint wakelock apps, etc. But, according to tools, my tab goes to deepsleep but drains anyway. I cannot count the number of times I reseted my tab to stock thru Odin. Witouth installing any apps, no root, battery still drained. I even took out my SD card since a defective SD card could cause drain. I tried to use battery saving apps (greenify, amplify, etc) but no change. While screen is off, I will loose 15% within 6 hours. I also have cleared the system cache (thru TWRP recovery) and apps cache, with no effects. While screen is ON, battery drain is normal (1% every 5 min.)
Now, for the warranty, since i purchased this Tab new, I approached Samsung for advice, but since I bought it on Ebay, I am not covered by the warranty.
As anyone experienced something like this? I am beginning to think this is an hardware failure. But it is new. Any advice is welcome.

Check to see how you have Wi-Fi set up during sleep. If you choose never you'll have very low battery drain over night. I often see 0.

Thank you. Already setup my wifi to sleep while screen is off in wifi settings since the beginning. Unfortunately, no change in battery behavior.

Then you need to see what's causing the battery drain. To do that you'll need a battery monitor such as betterbatterystats or GSam. Both will give you more info if you're rooted.

Thanks for the tip. I already installed GSAM a while ago and didn't notice any ressource hog apps. Only Android System (see screenshot). Other than that, everything seems normal.

Try turning off your mobile data at night. It stays up and parties while wifi is taking a settings enforced nap.
Hi! I don't have the LTE model. But I will try Amplify with extreme settings I found elsewhere on this board. I hope it will at least cut in half battery drain. I also tried to remove my smart Samsung cover to see if it caused the drain, but it is not the case!
I would try a firewall, restricting all outbound traffic and setting airport mode, wifi off. Also turn off tethering & account syncing, anything that could be attempting to 'get out'. If battery life improves, allow apps back one by one until battery life improves. Same with settings. If battery drain continues, you've at least eliminated outbound intentioned activity as the culprit.
Then I would try monitoring app activity. There are apps out there, but I can't make recommendations, since I've had no personal experience with any. Try a search on the terms:
--> android app activity monitor <--.
Not sure if there's an app that will check battery condition? Or you could take it somewhere to have the battery checked.
These are all abstract suggestions. I wish you luck in finding your issue.

WIfi battery drain has been present on the Tab S3 since day 1 of release. Hoping Oreo would fix this problem
Well I finally did the ultimate test to sort out if the problem was hardware or software. I factory resetted with Odin on latest XAR AR2 firmware (again...), wiped all data and started the tablet fresh new. No connection to wifi so no apps were installed and no stock apps were updated so to test the tablet as close to stock as possible. Wifi was off, so was location. Wifi set to 'Never'. Battery was at 100%. I let it sit there overnight. This morning, battery was at 82%... So I suppose that means hardware problem. I have a Samsung service center nearby, so I will call later today. Really hope it can be reapaired or I will have a $$$ garbage. Thanks all for your advices.

Just ran across this post. Seems this user solved his battery drain issues by turning off auto updates in developers options:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/62vmuw/disabling_auto_update_system_under_developer/
I have the 825 model, and with two different firmwares (AQJ1 and ARA2) never had the problem.
Wifi during sleep is set to never and I don't even lose 1% overnight.

Nice find. But this setting is already disabled on my tablet and I still have battery drain.
The tablet finally returned from the repair shop but no repair was done to it. Still, the technician is convinced that the problem is software and that reflashing the firmware would do the job, just not with Odin but with their 'servicing tool' provided directly by Samsung Canada. The problem is they cannot flash a US tablet with this tool so I would need my tablet to be serviced by a US shop that has the right tool. Anyone know of a 'Samsung servicing tool' other (and probably more powerful than) Odin that can be downloaded? Or is it the firmware that is special? To be continued...
I just talked to another technician from another repair shop and he confirmed me that Samsung Canada will provide no help nor tools to repair/service tablets and phones purchased in the US. Sad! I already sent an email to Samsung US to see if they can provide any help.

Search for 3c battery monitor widget on play.
There is no app more detailed in what is using the battery.
This app gives very comprehensive details on power usage.
I'd also try airplane mode over night. This is all radios completely off.
Also regarding the software.
There's nothing that the service centre can do that you cannot already do your self with ODIN.
If a complete flash and wipe doesn't fix the issue then it's likely hardware.
Maybe it's just the battery at fault. Not particularly difficult to replace for a DIY 'er

Thank you. I will try that app right after work! About Odin, do you think Samsung stock firmware image replaces all the partitions (ex: MISC, HIDDEN, etc..) or only SYSTEM, BOOT and DATA? Because I am beginning to think that one of my partition got corrupted. I remember, when flashing back from LineageOS 14.1 (march-18) to stock rom, restoring Superuser, DM-verity hack and my backup thru TWRP was extremely slow (about 5x slower than normal). But after a reboot, every went back to normal, but drain in deepsleep began...

Pretty much all partitions that are important or ones that could affect the running of the device.
There are many partitions not flashed, but these wouldn't affect the running of the device nor would have been touched by a custom OS.
Partitions like misc, hidden etc. can be wiped via recovery.

Question Anyone with high Mobile Network standby battery drain

I used to have the classic Mobile Network standby battery drain issue, until I flashed CalyxOS.
I left my phone with 100% battery before I went to bed last night and woke up this morning 8 hours later with no drain of any kind at all.
Might be an option for anyone else with the same issue.
Interesting. So that confirms it's a software issue and not hardware. Which is a relief. It means Google can fix it via OTA update. Hopefully enough people reported it that Google took notice. i am on chat with google now and they want me to factory reset. I was hoping to avoid that
wait just a question. you said 8 hours.those stats don't update for 24 hours. So you got 16 more hours to go till you know if the issue is fixed. that is why there are no stats at all on your screenshot. It just says battery data isn't available right now
Edit: ok I was wrong about that because I factory reset my phone (on the advise of Google support) and it's been 7 hours and I can see stats. But yes not losing anything In 8 hours is suspicious. I mean it could happen I guess my pixel 4xl got fantastic battery life and apparently mine was the only 4xl that got good battery life because everyone else hated the 4xl because of battery life. Anyway with my 4xl I would lose 1 or 2 percent overnight same with my 1,2,3a and 5. It's only the 6 that this is happening too. I just hope that it can be fixed with an software update.
8 hours with no drain is suspicious if you are not in Airplane mode. The clock, the weather app, email client, a bunch of things at least asks back for update preiodically, so it seems odd.

He's pushing this OS all over the place, not sure why. Most people do not want to bl unlock, wipe their devices and gamble with a new OS that probably doesn't work with Google Pay. And I agree 8 hours with no drain? Not likely although I did have 0.4% / hour one night. Usual is around 0.8 - 1.0 / hour.

Calyx doesn't do anything really in the background. It's de-Googled and has background processes limited or killed altogether. It is certainly possible to get this low idle drain considering OP is on wifi with what looks to be a very strong mobile network signal so the inefficient Exynos modem isn't draining it.
The downside of course is that a bunch of stuff doesn't work right on Calyx because there are no Play Services. You can't even access the stuff you bought IAP for...
I see. I don't say that it is bad. limiting or killing processes in deep sleep would hurt the notifications too, right? It is an interesting OS, but I would join to the others. I need my apps in a convenient way. I did modding in the past but now I appreciate phones that just work when I take them out from the box.

Where am I pushing anything? I'm sorry that I'm excited I've managed to solve a problem and want to share it with others where it could help. But hey, you're welcome to keep scrolling if my posts bother you that much.
For anyone else who might be interested, I took my phone off charge this morning and have been using it for the last 5 hours receiving Whatsapp messages, emails, calendar notifications, Doorbell/CCTV notifications and doing light internet browsing and I've lost 2% battery so far.

You might have "solved" one problem but introduced countless others. If you're really that excited then give all the info not just overnight battery drain and be a little more forthcoming about the rom. I mean in reality if I turn off all network activity and put it into airplane mode I'd get the same results and probably even better. And then there's your thread of ...Why isn't everyone running CalyxOS? Maybe one thread would have been enough instead of cross posting the Pro and the P6. Anyway, I do believe you have gotten enough feedback so people know the pitfalls of the rom and the supposed benefits of longer battery life.

I turned nothing off. If I had I would have said so. What's the point in posting my findings then? I would be useless wouldn't it? I don't have time to play games and lead people around the bush. I'm not 12 years old anymore.
So just to satisfy your curiosity, I use my phone in exactly the same way I have always used it. Bluetooth off, Wifi and mobile data on, location on when I need it but off at the moment. All my apps work just the same as before including my banking app. The only thing I don't use now is Google Pay, and two of my apps with in app purchases are not registered. Apart from that it is exactly how it was before.

Mobile network standby of 2 minutes with 5 hours off the charger suggests airplane mode was in use.
I don't care how much stuff you turn off in the background, there is no way you're getting a 2% loss from 5 hours of usage unless you used the phone for less than 30 minutes in those 5 hours.

Ok crack on buddy. Lol
Suspicious, yes, but then again... I used to be able to run my old Moto G3 for two weeks on a single charge with just a bare-bones LOS, no gapps and nothing else in the background, so it doesn't seem THAT unreasonable.
