If I unlock my note (AT&T) will I still be able to use my phone with AT&T? I know if I could use Tmobile on it once it's unlocked... But it will be using edge until I root the note and flash a Tmobile radio or flash....
So again if I unlock the note, would it still read my AT&T Sim card?

I wanted to unlock and use my phone in asia gsm so I called t-mobile and got the unlock code. The only gsm sim card I can get right now to unlock worth is att.
If I use att sim and unlock right now does that mean it already unlock to all gsm carriers or just att ?

If at&t sim is working. You should be able to use it with other carriers. Meaning your phone is now unlocked.

I unlocked my sim.what does this mean to me now? What can I do? Can i put my sim in any phone and it will work? You don't unlock the SIM card, you unlock the phone itself to use a different carrier other than the one it was locked to . (IE- Samsung Vibrant is locked to T-Mobile, unlock it and you can use a AT&T SIM card in it and it will run on AT&T)

The bootloader has nothing to do with SIM locking. You'll need an unlock code from your carrier or a third party site, there isn't a free or easy way around that.

When you say unlocked, do you mean the bootloader or the sim?
If its the bootloader don't do the update. From what I have read, you will soft brick your phone.

Its the sim only i guess then....what i did is i bought an unlock code from cellunlock.net and unlokcked it by inserting a sim here in India...

I'm trying to bring my t-mobile branded galaxy note over to At&t due to the horrible service at t-mobile in my area. My question is once my phone is unlocked and ready for use on At&t can I just flash the custom roms that are located in the At&t section of the galaxy note or am I suppose to stick with t-mobile note roms?

From what I understand the notes for tmobile at&t rogers in canada and bell are the same and you can flash whatever carrier firmware you want on them or any custom rom

Yes, once unlocked you can use other the att or T-Mobile ROMS. YOU mqy need to flash an att radio to maximize your data speeds though.
