I have GTA on my 8gb but it doesn't get past the load/ credits screen. Just curious if anyone has had any luck getting it to work?
Also, it seems weird to me to post a question about an app not in the apps forum. But i do not want to be a rule breaker. Just a statement, not a question.
gta on nook tablet
Im trying to as well. I downloaded an apk file but it keeps crashing after the intro.
Sorry cant help directly because ive got a 16gb. One of you tried DLing an apk (im not promoting warez just accepting the fact you may have used that ) I installed from the market and let it download. After that it wouldnt go any further than launching the application. IF youre having problems after the download then i would clear all of the data for it through a file explorer (com.rockstar.games ) and delete that. Then uninstall GTA3 and re-install from the market (or whatever you got your apk from).
hope it helps in some way

So I see all these video posts about a Nook Color running Honeycomb and playing Angry Birds. How are they running Angry Birds?
I can install them off the market place but then I just get an force close error.
I have tried installing through ADB and also installing them to system/app...
HELP! Is there a way to run Angry Birds... Frustrated Angry pig...
it's probably a DSP issue
My HC was previously unable to see AB on the NC because Google wouldn't assign it an Android Market ID for the device. Here's one way to fix it. I know it works because I used it. There may better, quicker, easier, etc ways but whatever.
From a fresh HoneyComb v4 install...
NOTE: I run it off a Class 4 16GB Sandisk SD, speed is good. However, that shouldn't matter.
1) Install the Market but don't link it to your Google account yet.
2) Download the APK from the link below, install it, run it, emulate T-Mobile.
http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/android/marketaccess
3) Once emulation is successful, run the Market. Go through the Google account setup wizard. Accept the terms when/if prompted. You're done.
If you'd prefer to not redo your HC install, perhaps merely clearing the cache data in the Google Services Framework / Market apps under Settings -> Applications might work. I've not tried it this way. After doing this, begin at step 2 above.
Regardless, I have Angry Birds (and "Seasons) running on HC and CM7. It does work well. No issues.

Honeycomb is automatically installing it to the SD card. Go to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications and move it back to the phone. BOOM, piggy killin time.
That worked perfectly... Thank you so much... I can no have some bacon... LoL

i have this problem im unable to install angry birds. I have honeycomb v4 installed on emmc. When i try to install it from the market i can download it but it never installs
I was able to start the game by moving it to the device drive, but it locks up 2-3 minutes into the game, any ideas what might be triggering the lockup or how I might go about diagnosing the issue?
Update: looks like the nook isn't the only platform with an angry birds freeze. Per Android @ MoCaDo it appears that zooming in slightly might help the issue.

That worked for me too!!! Thanks!!!!
The Atrix comes with a demo of the NFS game, but since I had previously purchased it from the market, I un-installed the demo version. After installing the market version, the program no longer loads.
I think that if I copy the demo files into the appropriate folder, I can have the full game working again. Could someone upload me their demo files for NFS-Shift? I'm trying to avoid having hard-reset my phone.
[Update]
The market now has a working version of this game.
Same boat
Yeah, I did the same thing. It seemed like there shouldn't have been a problem with uninstalling the app, but it looks like there is. Guess we should've froze it instead, eh?
The market version now works on the Atrix, so this post is unnecessary.

Has anyone figured out how to fix the market problem with some apps. My wife plays Paradise Island all the time and it says to update. When I try to update the game, it says ther eis insufficient space available. Well I have ton of extra space both internally and externally (SD card wise). I have heard its a problem with the market. I updated to the newest market this morning. Still same problem. I have done a search for about a week now, and still have not found the solution anywhere so I ask the question here now. Anyone?
That one is easy if the phone is rooted?
Simply delete .apk files from the /cache folder not entirely sure why but failed updates and downloads from the market sometimes stay there
if the phone is not rooted I would probably try force stopping, clearing data from market in application manager and rebooting.
market will then act as if freshly installed, this might work I have not tested it asmy phone is rooted

Hello - I am really new to this site and to rooting and made a stupid mistake that I'm hoping has a fix. I rooted my tablet successfully and downloaded Titanium Backup and then proceeded to put a lot of apps on my sd card. One of the apps I transferred was Crash Bandicoot and now it's gone. All the other apps worked but that one just disappeared. I tried to do a factory reset but Crash didn't re-install on the tablet. If anyone could give me some much needed guidance I would greatly appreciate it. I apologize if this thread is in the wrong category. Thanks!
You should be able to open the PS Store and redownload any of the apps you paid for. Crash bandicoot should be available for download there, but maybe it's $5.99 normally, I can't remember...
Hi. Thanks for the reply. I went to the PS Store but Bandicoot isn't available, just the other two games I downloaded - Hot Shots Golf, and some other game. I'll keep checking though.
Hi,
http://www.storageoptions.com/products/scroll/tablets/scroll-pocket
It's cheap as chips and perfect for my kids.
But I'm hoping someone can tell me if it's at all possible to install another marketplace on to the system? e.g. amazons marketplace or getjar? I think as long as I can get Angry Birds on it then I should have a couple of happy bunnies for xmas :victory:
Thanks in advance
I'm pretty sure all you need to do for GetJar, is to use the browser, search and download the app and install. Make sure you check install non-market apps in "manage apps". and get a file manager (if it doesn't come with a pre-loaded one) to install it and you should be good to go. Do you know what market is on it to start? I assume Google, but you know what happens when you assume right? If it is the Google market (Play), the you should be set there. It has the Angry Birds, no prob. Hope I was some help!
It comes with SlideMe, not really the best TBH.
I have contacted Amazon and they said to download it. Will have to buy them and see what's happens.
I guessed this was the case but was hoping to get it confirmed from the wise old ones here
Cheers for replying.
