Well finally, Temple Run is here on android...and, sigh, I cannot get it to work on my nook. I'm running eyeballer's CM9 opengl build and, while I can install and run the game the touch sensitivity is all messed up. It interprets almost any touch as as the "jumping" motion. Anyone else having this problem, or better luck than me?
it's a problem with ics i guess cause it's working fine on cm7
Yep, works fine on CM7.
Same problem here, eyeballers recent rom with opengl ics
Same issue with non-opengl cm9 nightlies.
It is a problem on our rom guys not ics... I have it running fine on my inspire 4G with Android 4.0.4 from LorD

Yup, definitely a problem with ICS. It's not working on my nook running ICS either.

Not an ICS issue its your rom, kernel, or clock speed. It runs great on my ICS NS4G and my Phiremod NC. Try a different rom or simply a different kernel.

Confirmed, Temple doesn't work on the Nook with ICS. With CM7 it was ok.
And I don't have to discuss anymore with my daughter about who is using the Nook...

Just saw this article http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-57368713-264/three-years-on-chrome-at-last-arrives-on-android/. Looks like it's only for ICS devices. I wonder if it would work on cm9 kangs?
Guess it isn't compatible, just read in the cm9 dev thread that it doesn't work.
Tried it myself, it looks like it will work but it just gives you the white screen.
I installed it on CM9 on my Atrix and it didn't work. Installs and runs fine, but never loads a site! WSOD!
Won't work with Atrix, it requires hardware acceleration.

Don't work. Only white screen here. CM9 (from atrix-dev-team).

From today and now it works with the lastest CM9 Joker version
Working on atrix
on jokersax alpha 1.1.3.It does work but still a bit buggy
I'm using on my atrix on CM9 Beta 0.1.0 2d. It is Lightning fast, but there is some issues
it keeps crashing. it is very unstable as of now.
I also read somewhere that Chrome would never support flash. Lets all hope that was not correct
Was just using this on ICS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445052) it's a bit buggy tbh but the way it syncs with my computer is great
Buggy and No flash, well it's a beta.
works for me.
the only bug i've seen so far is that I can't use the tabs, it just crashes without a warning...
i'm on jokersax's 2d latest beta (0.1.0?)
it works flawless on my teamEOS xoom though
Currently i am using the CM9 rom and one thing bugging me here, FP navigation.is there any way to turn it of???

Hey I have been hearing a lot about the cm9 rom having 2d issues. What does that mean?
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Games that use 2D acceleration such as Angry Birds don't function correctly. I think the issue has been greatly improved in the newest ROM from jokersax though. Don't quote me on that one haha.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
We're getting closer and closer to having 2d hw fully stable but for now there are still some things here and there that need fixing.
angry birds runs fine for me with the keral from jokers beta wwf freezes on me. Flashed different kernal and wwf works angry birds is glitchy. It will get worked out. I have faith
2D hardware acceleration is working in the last two or three of Joker's CM9 builds. I have been installing Angry Birds each time and, currently running beta 0.1.0, have had no issues with artifacting or any other graphics issues. I know the latest version of Joker's has had some new 2D-related issues and, as far as I know, turl's is in the same boat.
Thanks for your answers. They explain why words with friends has been craahing

If you Google for 2d hardware acceleration app you will get a list of the best apps for this and running one of them will allow you to get past all 2D problems you have

So what ROM is everyone using as their daily right now? What have you tried? Why did you choose your current ROM over others?
Rocko... since CM9 camera stopped working for me
Cm9 here. Came from cm7. I'm a flashaholic and I really like how smooth it is. Haven't flashed anything since. Just a couple kernels to see if I like any.

Rocko 3.0,i was running stock for a while but ive tired them all
Currently it's Rocko 3.0 unlocked. It has some blur I don't like or use, but I still like it. Battery life is decent for me and it is quite stable.
I'm a MoPho-er
im running stock unlocked and deodex. with joker kernal 1.03
Stock but rooted

As far as stability and usability goes, I don't think you can beat imperium initiative. Its amazing and completely underrated... As for me I can't stay away from cm9 for some reason. Camera pisses me off sometimes but whatever, things get more promising with every release.
I love threads like this as a newcomer to this phone it helps me know which ones to consider I can't vote yet I guess until I upgrade May 1st

Joker's Cyanogen mod 9 because it's near perfect. I'm sure the camera will be working again real soon, so I can live without it for a few days.

So is MIUI. Camera works but still similar issues to CM9
Stock EVERYTHING. Too many issues with other ROM's, so I put everything back and phone works like a charm!
Same here.. stock with Launcher pro..
Gives me 1 1/2days battery nd also 450mb ram free all time

Imperium initiative. Works very well and everything works.
I actually didn't have much problem with the stock rom, except that for me voice command kept starting up out of no where and the audio would occasionally with speed up to chipmunk speed.
Started using CM9 a week ago and I am not going back. Before that it was the stock rooted

Hey guys,
Downloaded temple run today, was so pumped until I played it and realized that touch swiping wasnt accurate (i'd swipe left and would just continue and fall ij water) and the game was a little choppy. Running Turl's v9 CM9, btw. Any of you guys experience similar issues?

Yup. Its a touch issue with the CM9 ROMs.

I'm on stock Gingerbread and rooted. Temple Run plays flawlessly on my Atrix. No lagging at all. Control is also better/more accurate on my Atrix than on my Kindle Fire, HTC EVO View 4G tablet, or my mother-in-law's HTC phone (Incredible?). Haven't tried it yet on my wife's iPhone 4 or iPad 2 though. But on Android, I'm very happy with how it runs on my Atrix. Now, if I could just get past 50,000 points
I'm on cm7 and it runs perfectly with no issues. I've been playing it all day non stop.
i felt a little not smooth as i run it on ios devices.btw,i'm running stock gb rom.
so from what i'm reading here, I guess it's safe to assume that it's an issue with cm9 drivers.
well this sucks because I love Temple Run, but dont think i will b going back to GB for temple run....

As far as I could understand, the bug with CM9 is not only for the Atrix, but for all the devices that are running an ICS version, it has something to do with drivers or some other lie...
no problems on my jokersax cm9 atrix.
EDIT:
actually. yeah. it has problems with touch. doesn't ever go the right way.
Exactly the same problem on miui ics rom as well

No problem with 2.3.4 stock Rom.

From a video I saw on a review of temple run, the guy played it on a galaxy nexus and it lagged and crashed, so I guess its not optimized for the ICS framework which is weird

The game works perfectly fine for 95% of the time but there are times when it slows down significantly for example when there are a lot of objects to render at the same time.
Yeah I'm on MIUI v4 ICS based on CM9 and my swipes always go the wrong way. So bummed but I'll never leave MIUI. Gonna subscribe to this thread in hopes that any fixes or updates will be posted here.

Its performance is rom specific and does not function correctly on cm9 roms or the miui roms built off of it I guess so until those roms get there libs and drivers straight certain games are a no go

Same issue here.
I'm having the same issue on Neutrino v2.6. Choppy as heck, while other games run flawlessly.

Running cm7
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Hi all
Currently running CM7 (7.1.1) on my Tbolt. If i remember correctly, CM7 doesn't work well with the GPS, so I'm looking to go back to the "last" official build from Vz for the Tbolt.
Can anybody direct me to what I should download/do? The reason I am doing this is because of the GPS functionality. I'm going to be doing a bit of business travel here in a bit and I need a GPS.
Thanks
Any sense rom will work fine. Try cm7.2 over at rootzwiki.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
I think the first rom I had was CM 7.1 and I think I had a GPS issue too. I liked the ROM it was fast, unlike das Bamf which I'm running now. Is 7.2 less buggy. All the ROMS I see look outdated.
7.2 is a lot less buggy than 7.1. It runs great of you ask me. The gps is still finicky but there is a way to get it to work by getting a lock with a sense rom using gps status and then restoring a nand of cm7 2.
