Sk17i has totally different hardware. It just wouldnt work at all.

I actually tried this one day when I was using SEUS for what was probably the thousandth time. I was just curious about what would happen.
SEUS did it's thing, installed the software, the phone booted up and...was on the normal U20i rom.
Oh well...it was worth a shot!
If you want SK17i firmware..you need an SK17i!

Hi I need to flash my phone back with the generic U20i software using omnius but I have not been able to find it anywhere just the E10i for the mini. I want to do this because I am having problems updating my phone after rooting it.
If anyone knows how to get the U20i generic uk firmware then please share.

Hey people, I've flashed my E10a with a E10i firmware, because my original was giving me so much troubles, and I tried to repair, factory reset and everything, but with no success and flashed with an E10i firmware, that solved my problems. But now I want to get back with the E10a firmware(that I have backed up) to see if will work good again, but I tried PC Companion and SEUS but PC Companion that the update was failed, to check my internet connection(and its fine, nor firewall blocking) and SEUS says that I have the newer version.
What I do?

Oh sorry, its in the wrong forum.
Its a E10a with E10i firmware(I think its the same that a X10a with X10i firmware), how do I get back with my stock(E10a) firmware?
I tried PC Companion and SEUS but they don't give me the option to repair, only says that I have the newer version.
Anyone could help me please?

if you search the forum, others have suggested using pc companion to revert back to the original se rom.

When you load pc companion or SEUS you will see a button to check for updates, it will then tell you the software is up to date but would you like to reinstall it anyway. If you click 'yes' it will then begin downloading the latest 'official' SE 2.1 ROM and install it (wiping your phone in the process).

Anyway, if you get in trouble with it, you can always manually flash an old official rom to it and then update it through SEUS.

wher i get it (SEUS) and how does this work.I have such a problem :ยด
I rooted my x10 mini android 2.1 to 2.3 CyanogenMod 7.0 with this version my SD card didnt work. Then tried CyanogenMod 7.9, after restart theres only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen, then I disconnectied battery and phone went to clockworkmode. From there I cant do anything. I have tried to restore( no files ) and then reinstall android but installation was aborted. when I reboot my phone then logo stays.
NEXT DAY: something happened, riht now only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen. clockworkmode does not work anymore!
I hope somebody can help me out. Its my first Android and im new at this.
Update ur phone using pc companion. Or Sony Ericsson update service ....

dont do it, use mini-04, which is stock rom + root and without all the se garbage.
Everything works perfectly and its fast and smooth.
Disable auto-brightness and you got a perfect little droid.

Very odd thing. I installed EWJet Rom few weeks ago. Wanted to try wolfbreaks so I used SEUS. I now have official gb dont know how because I was told by operator it was not being released to us. Any one explain this I dont get how it but gb on it

Official gb hasn't been released for mini/mini pro so if you have it then you'll be the only one ever lol, im sure SE would be suprised to know that too

Yeah i really dont understand it I have now re-rooted using kernal downgrade/upgrade method & want to change coz stock is pretty laggy.
Ps also i have an x10i not a mini

x10 is waaaay different than x10 mini/pro
you better go to x10 forums before you do somethimg that will brick your phone
(in order to understand the differencies in mini we cannot even touch the kernel not upgrade/downgrade.... )

Rom Manager. Instant brick very easy. One little wrong choice and youre toast. Hardbrick=change of cpuboard. Or jig work.
I speak from xperience .
Seen too many post with noobs playing with this app. Its not for SE phones. So dont use it. Way too easy to brick.
Use xrecovery to make nandbackups. Doomkernel <-

I have used it since it came out never once bricked any sony phone with it xrecovery is old and outdated now
Doomlord v8 xperia neo,+ x10 mp both have cwm no problems ever just depends if you know what your doing

Friends I need help with my Mini ST15i, Android 4.0.4 to 2.3.4 of the drivers lost touch, now does not work.

Try flashing original software with flashtool a few times( up to 15 times). I lost touch on my st15i when i flashed sk17i firmware and flashed .62 fw 3 times through flashtool and touch was working again
