*Automatically* Move Files from phone/internal SD to External SD? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Anyone know how to *automatically* move files from one place to another on the phone?
For example, I can get my camera to save files to the internal SD but not external.
But I have a sweet 64gb SD card, so I'd like to have an app or something that would automatically move the files over.
Any ideas?
And yes, I know I could do it manually using a file explorer but I want a "set and forget" solution.

I'm not sure about all the files you want on ext storage but for photos this is what I did. First im using camera zoom fx for my camera app. It let me create my own folder on my sd card and now all my photos go there. Check the apps you use that save files to your phone if you can edit the save path.

external_sd

Im having issues locating my files on my external sd card, when i open es file explorer and go into the external_sd folder its empty, but my gallery is showing me all my pics from my sd card
any way to fix this or find my external sd card files?
thanks
are you on AOSP ROM? Does your computer show files on the external SD card?
It might in Removable folder?
Try look for it, im not sure
Are you going into /sdcard/external_sd?
That's where mine is...
I have this problem on my Original Galaxy Tab running ICS Alpha 3 ROM. The /sdcard/external_sd/ is empty. In my case, the external sd is mounted on /mnt/emmc/, which can only be accessed through Root Explorer.
Thank you mate, I just got an SD card yesterday and got baffled where it might be Too bad xda app doesnt support thanks feature :-(

[Q] can't save videos to SD card in CM. Anyone know how?

Love CM, but not being able to choose my SD card as the default location is annoying.
My internal SD is filled up with podcasts, and all i want to do is just save it to my huge sd card. why wont it let me?!
Can't you copy and paste them our move them manually?

1) You can use Root Explorer or other Explorer app to move them manually.
2) When you first said video I was thinking videos/pics taken with the camera. And IF you use one of the latest kang builds it has a setting in camera that lets you save them to External sd card (EMMC) now.
How are you downloading the podcast/Saving them to your phone in the first place? Is it an app? If so have you checked the app to settings to see if it lets you save it to an external sdcard? If it does it MAY have a way for you to choose where on the external sd card to save it, then point it to the emmc (External sdcard).
moving them over manually is a pain. I would prefer saving them to a sd, that way when i change phones, i take all my videos with me.
I am using the latest KANG (the one linked in the cm7 nightly thread) and i dont see this option anywhere. Is there another place to find the latest kang that im not seeing?

How do you move music to you internal storage

My sister has a sg2 I don't have one so I really know nothing about it. But it says she has 10gb internal and no space is left on her sdcard. How do you move your music and pictures to the internal storage.
Thanks.

You can move files between internal and external sd card on-device by using an app, such as ES File Explorer, or stock My Data app.
Just go to "external_sd", select the files you want to move, then select "cut".
Then go back to home (what is internal sd card) and where you want to have the files, and then select "paste".
Or you can move the files off-device by connecting the phone to your PC, then move the files with the file explorer (e.g. Windows Explorer) from the one sd card to the other.

Confused about internal and external SD card

This is probably a dumb question, but I am confused a little about the SD card situation. I have a Verizon S3. I see the phone comes with 16gb of storage that is in the folder SD Card, and that when I put my own SD card into the phone that I can find it under the mnt folder in the root directory. My question, is the SD memory that came with the phone built in, like a virtual SD card, or is that a card that is removeable? If it is not removeable, how do I setup my phone to make my personal SD card the one is being shown when I go to /SD Card/? I have a class 10 and prefer to have easy removable access to my default SD card, and having it under mnt/extsdcard is a bit annoying.
The sdcard is internal storage. All your apps etc will be saved there. If go to /mnt/extsdxard that's your memory card. Apps can no longer be downloaded to your extsd. Your camera has an option to make pics taken save to your sdcard. You'll find the pics in /extsdxard/dcim/camera

Ok so then I guess my best solution is for anything I want to know I can access with my personal SD card is to just redirect things to it. I don't put installed apps on SD but figured a lot of things are better on a removeable card incase my phone breaks or bricks and I want access to those files. I can just configure apps that allow me to choose where to save things to save them on my external card if I think I want that. Thanks for the info.

The only way to see the system files is with a root and "root explorer" and you will see them in the phone, the copy the archive from the system to your SD card and the conecto to pc to see the file, the pc cannot access the files directly only modify(like flashtool) the system
The camera always store photos in the internal sd card. Is there a way to copy the photos to pc or the external sd without root?
droid explorer lets you see and manage all contents of your phone. It's normal that when connected you can only see the "external" memory, it is not normal that the camera app saves pictures to internal memory (you sure about this?) have you tried looking in folders like dcim or 100andro on sd card?

What? That can't be because if you make a 1 min video recording puff say goodbye to your 150mb of storage, I'm sure you are confused, all the photos and video are in the mini sd in the folder dcmi then 100android something like that, you will never find the option of where to save photos because they are by default stored in the mini sd
