I had to send my Lumia to T-Mobile for repair as it just would not charge. I got it back today but the full charge capacity is only showing 1090mah i thought this may be the old bug so updated the firmware but it still showed 1090mah. Iwhile writing this it has just jumped to 1294. Does anyone know if its just a case of a few charges to get the right numbers or is this a case of they given me a dub battery?
mind you my discharge has gone down from 130 jumping to 200 to 70 jumpin to 100

For those of you who have the wireless charger. Do you notice a significant battery life shortage when you charge the phone using the wireless charger? Ever since I use the wireless charger, the battery life doesn't seem to last as long as charging the phone using the traditional route.

I just got mines today from AT&T. Will keep an eye on how it last and let ya know.
I've been using the charging stand for a week or so and haven't noticed any difference.
I've been using mine for over a week, and I've noticed the phone charges faster than with the USB cable (to the wall outlet), and the battery charge seems to last just as long... maybe you have a bad battery?
also, I found this on wikipedia about the qi standard: "Regulation of the output voltage is provided by a digital control loop where the power receiver [phone] communicates with the power transmitter[charger] and requests more or less power. "
I have a thin plastic case. Do I need to take the case of to charge the phone? want to know before I buy
I've actually seen a slight improvement when using the charging plate. Through my typical usage during the day (7 a.m. through 6 p.m.) I was coming home with 50% battery. Now, I'm coming home with about 70%.
Don't be too impressed though. I don't use push on anything at all, and I don't use any kind of social media.
I'm betting you have a defective unit. My first 920 did exactly this. I would set in on the plate, take note of the battery percentage, take a 10 minute shower, come back, and the percentage jumped from 88% to 100%. There's no way it could charge that fast. Not even the USB cable can charge it that quickly and that charges at a higher amperage and voltage than the plate. Sometimes I saw it jumping from 95% to 100% in a matter of seconds. So I called AT&T and after countless hours of talking with employees that knew nothing, I finally was put on to someone who helped me get the phone exchanged. My new 920 does not have this problem and a full charge on the plate lasts just as long as on the plug. My first 920 barely made it 8 hours with normal use (texting mostly). My new 920 makes it past my 8 hour shift with 75% to spare.
Had to replace mine. White light on the plate came on but no response on phone. Wireless charging coil was faulty... Inductive charging failed and that sucks... It wasn't a bad flaw but when I spend 450 I want a functioning device. Now, I have it.

Hmmm, I will have to call AT&T for the warranty exchange. Thanks
Over the last 2 weeks i have noticed some serious battery drain while using my phone. I have installed Battery Monitor Widget and that says that my discharging speed is -495mA, Is that something to be worried about?
I am using CM9.1.0 stable.
This came about 3 weeks when i broke my wall charger The wall charger charges my phone but i have caused some damage to the battery/phone when i charged the overnight once. My 'Battery reborn widget? Pro' estimates my 'estimated until empty' is only 23 hours from a full charge which i know doesn't sound bad, but since then it's got worse and worse, If i have my phone on a full charge it estimates 8 hours until empty?
Is my phone faulty?
Since this has happened my phone gets hot around the rear camera area/earpiece area?
I went in to my carrier shop today and showed them, they said they'd replace it if i send it back.
I know how to return to stock, but my contract runs out in July is it worth sending back or can this be fixed.
P.S I have a 2400mAh battery coming from ebay as i think it is the battery.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Hey guys, Ive recently started caring about battery life more then anything else for my phone as i dont play games.
Ive been researching for hours on end finding a ROM I like and a battery friendly Kernel, so far so good, 25% gone and ive hit 1.5hours of screen on time, which is pretty good, you would expect it to be 6 hours of screen on time in total then but its not..
Ive had the phone for 16 months now, and it seems whenever it gets below 70% the battery just eats away at itself, resulting in 2.5 hours of screen on time, so that whole extra 75% is only giving me an extra hour
Would you say the battery is getting old? and should I get a official Samsung one or a bigger unit
Thanks
- Jack
On stock kernel and TW based rom with greenify I get 6hrs screen time and around a day/day & a half use from a new standard capacity battery.
If you're using the phone 'normally' then % decrease should be fairly linear, steep drops indicate the electrodes are damaged and cell capacity reduced. Get a new genuine one or reputable OEM, larger capacity means a new back plate (doesn't matter what the advert says it's physically impossible to get more mAh into the same size as a standard battery).
You get around 50 charge cycles from a new battery before capacity is measurably reduced, I've never kept a battery much past 8 or 10 months.

Alright, ill have to get a new battery then * sigh *
Last night the phone had 20 something, usually uses 4% per night, this morning 0, no battery OFF
I have been using MPJ battery without problems so far, it takes more charge than the original and lasts longer
2 hours charging, only 28%, something is wrong, I will take a spare battery when I go out, later will try with original to see if the problem is the battery or the phone...

The cable was not connected during the night, when it discharged, any way now it seems ok, only lost 2% in about 5 hours, no use ither than checking the time and battery load
But there is a bad contact on the USB plug, sometimes I have to fiddle with it to get contact...
HELP
Again, this time stranger, no apps on battery usage, but battery was discharging faster than usual and died at 7 am with a beep that awakened me, with still over 20% charge
-First screenshot, it died sometime the previous night, so I charged to 30%, then nothing showing, but kept the 30% charge until I charge it again around 16:00.
-Second screenshot, it has "blanks" on the chart, never noticed that before.
-Third screenshot, using more than usual during the night, it uses between 3% and 5%, and at 20% it just dies, now I put back the original battery to test, but it seems to be using more than usual
people should know MPJ battery's is trash, isnt worth the money because some weeks after they will be worst and worst!! i personnaly prefer to buy a original battery as a spare one, they are cheap now, with 19€ in LG spares site you can buy one or two and swap them, is easy, and buy a external charger from ebay or something (because LG spares site dont have that on sale i dont know why).
i will buy the external charger and one or two spare battery's soon because my battery is discharging too fast, now with 2h of videocall in skype my phone goes from 100 to 46 quickly. in the first two months i have almost 6h SoT and now i cant go longer than 4h.

The MPJ was offered to me for free to do a test, it was fine until now, I am not yet sure if it is the battery, will let you know when I am sure
By the way Android OS battery use is way down with the original battery

the MPJ battery's degradate with time, the real mah's decrease every charge. - i know what i say because i use one with my G3 almost 1 year ago and the battery is really worst than the original one!
one usefull app to have to know when your phone is 100% charge with the real mah's count is AccuBattery from playstore, there you find the real capacity of battery as welll their health...
you never should unplug the phone when the 100% pop-up shows full charged, you need to keep it from more one hour to get the full mah's and a good charge, i do this all the time and get some good battery with the original.
LG's battery isnt the best in the world but is better than MPJ for sure, i dont want a brick but if i need a excelent battery ZeroLemon 9000mah is a excelent battery, unfortunnaly they dont do the standard capacity 3000 mah for V10 only the 9000 mah...but this turn the phone is a heavy weight brick.
- see my yesterday - today full charge screens, for me is good enough!!!
P.S: The skype time is all in videocall. idk why details show only 47 minutes of camera usage!!!
In the garbage
Everything seems to be working fine with the original battery, MPJ in the garbage where it belongs, wont risk testing again
Even the "bad contact on the USB plug" was the battery failing
So my phone is from 2018. Recently I've noticed that i could no longer use it for as long as i could've so i checked aida64 and hidden menu battery test. It has almost 700 charge cycles already and it went from holding up to 3300mah capacity to only 2200mah. It charges up to 1289775/2201000 and starts showing 100 percent charge then slows down charging by a lot more than it used to, aida64 shows a different reading from the hidden menu's which confuses me further. What should I do apart from a battery replacement? I don't really have the luxury of buying and paying for labor rn.

A Li is considered degraded when it reaches 80% of its original capacity. Degraded Li's are more likely to fail. A failure can destroy the device.
Any swelling is a failure; replace immediately and do not attempt to charge it!
Erratic fast charging is a sign of a failed Li.
Just replace it. Part of routine maintenance. Some shops will do it for around $50. Better than buying another phone...
