This rom is based on latest ICS stock fw for Neo Arc and Ray. I decided to continue development anyway

since I don't have a Xperia Play, I'm especially interested in the following things:

To download the files from hotfile as a premium user:

==Installation instructions==
Important! Only for unlocked bootloader
Sony recommended to flash the ICS rom only if you are on .62 firmware with .64 baseband, but in Neo and Arc forum there are users with other basebands and a working rom (with minor problems mostly)
- Copy KA13_Ice_Cream_Sony_Play.zip to the root of your sd-card
- First download the kernel of your choice
- rename it to boot.img and place it in the same folder as your fastboot files
- Open a command window in the same folder and type: Fastboot flash boot boot.img => Flash the ICS kernel
- [stock kernel] hotboot any custom kernel: Fastboot boot boot.img => boot into ICS custom kernel
- Boot your phone into recovery
- Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache and Advanced => Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Flash zip from sdcard and flash the rom
- Reboot your phone and enjoy

I'll try to push it into a system.img file so you guys can try it before a kernel with CWM comes out

Right now, the first thing to do is get my rom nice and stable on the Xperia Play like on the Neo & Neo V, Arc & Arc S and Ray
Then I'll add things and update the rom
I don't think you guys need to wait long anymore, I'm going to push the files into a system.img in a moment
Then only thing I need to do is upload it

Depends on the upload speed
I'm almost done with pushing the files to a system.img
But the problem with installing a rom with this method is that the system.img can't be larger then a specific size, and I don't know what the size is for Xperia Play

It has the same filesystem structure as Arc/Ray:

This is my first development on Xperia Play, so I'll have to search some more info about the differences between R800i and R800x

Sounds good. Referring to the FreeXperia project, I believe the user chevyowner was able to create a CDMA variant rather quickly by updating the network libraries. I am experienced in programming as in VB and C# but I am still a noob when it comes to roms and kernels so it may simply be best to just ignore me .

That's not stock partitions right? You have 420mb data. Stock is 380mb.. You used the 40mb extra flash file right

Oh ok cool. I wasn't sure where the 40mb extra comes from (thought maybe trimming each partition to add more to data) so thought it might make a difference.
