If the picture attached to his original post #1 is his phone, then this will break it for sure.
OP, is that an actual picture of your phone? Or did you grab that off the internet somewhere? Because as I said above, that picture is of a GT-I9000, or Galaxy S.
If you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you have a GT-I9100, or Galaxy S II, then by all means, ivenoev's post may help you. You can be sure of this by checking the model number on the label under the battery.

Either the OP is trolling or should never be allowed to own a smartphone ever again :-|

Yeah, I'm not sure.

first you should install
"samsung kies"
in your computer and the computer will install the driver for your phone
after you done that, boot your phone into download mode, please follow the step below:
1. turn your phone off
2. press volume down, menu button and power button at the same time
3. release all the button immediately when you see yhe boot screen as picture attached to you post above
4. plug the phone to you computer
and then you can flash your rom via odin
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA

after you done the step above, please download and flash rom as stated by ivenoev
please comment if you have successfully install the rom via odin

please check your phone carefully, or the box that came with it. i am pretty sure you got to the wrong section. that's why you got your phone brick.
return to galaxy S forum to look for any ROM you like.

I know but I think he could not find a GSII pic within this situation. Also, the picture has watermark... so he found it on internet. http://androidcommunity.com/galaxy-s2-desire-2-and-wildfire-2-specs-leaked-20110211/

Galaxy s2 is stuck on a screen with mobile and computer it wont start up

i tried to root my galaxy s2 but odin said operation failed and then my phone started showing a small pic on upper left corner of phone with mobile, computer and a small yellow triangle. My phone does not start up. I tried to connect it with kies but an error" Device not responding. To resolve the issue please, reboot the device " comes up on computer. I tried putting it back in download mode which did not worked as well. Any advice/suggestion will be helpfull as i m fairly new to android and my phone seems like useless. Please............
If you can't get into download mode then you have a problem. Does recovery work?
Also need more detail like firmware you were on, what file you flashed and what you put where in odin.

Just quick update that i got successfull in putting the phone in download mode
(Build number : Gingerbread.DUKJ1, Baseband version : I9100TDUKJ1) i used odin 3v 1.85 then tried to flash with kernal available on http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3N191PVU which is given in xda developer forum link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784 and followed indtructions where it says chapter 1 but activity 1.3 ( If you are not rooted yet: Flash a modified FACTORYFS). I am able to get back in download mode but i have no idea what to do now any suggestions please. Thanks in advance.
Thats a Galaxy Note yes .
which is given in xda developer forum link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1331784

As JJE pointed out, it seems like you are trying to flash a root kernal for a different device. You need cf root for Galaxy S2. If you can find it flash it as you did the first time and it might boot. If not you will need to flash a full firmware in Odin.

I9100G update failure.

Dear All,
I'm in a critical situation,My device is totally stopped working when I have tried to flash a custom ROM (I9100GJPKH8_i9100GDZKH5) to my Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G but the process failed and can't go further even I'm not able to restart my device the only option to restart is to remove the battery and once i do that i got message telling me that "software update fail" and it won't allow me to go to ODIN menu.
I have searched the net for the original ROM for my device model but with no luck ( Original ROM is: I9100gzcki1_i9100gozhki1_chn)
I seek your help in order to get my device back to work.
Thank you
So you can't enter in recovery-mode? Do u have a USB-JIG?
Check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
Yeah, I'm not able to go to recovery mode.
what is USB-JIG?
Thanks for reply
I think u will be able to get into download mode. Try to get in there and download a custom rom for I9100G and not I9100 understand and flash using Odin. Hope it will help u.

I don't think u can get a USB Jig fast. U need to buy it from eBay. Between Wer u from?

OK. If you can get into download mode (turn phone off. Then hold down the home button & the volume down button. Keep holding these down then hold down the power button), go to Sammobile & download a I9100G stock rom & flash this in Odin following whatever instructions Sammobile have for flashing stock roms downloaded from there.
If you can't get into download mode there's a slim chance a jig might get you into download mode.
There's a thread over in the General section where people have offered to let other people use their jigs. You might want to have a look at that thread & see if there's someone close to you who might be able to help you out rather than you buying a jig on eBay & waiting for it to turn up in the mail.
You can diy one.

If you tried to flash a custom rom ANYTHING other than Juffo rom based on DZJk2 for Gingerbread on a I9100G using odin and you cannot get into download mode... you probably soft bricked your phone.
Buy a USB-jig (basically a microUSB connected to a resistor, there are multiple videos on Youtube you can make one urself or order it online)
Insert the USB-jig into the phone while its powered off, and you should be able to get into download mode automatically.
Go find the original Stock rom and flash it back and look up how to properly backup/and root your device + using custom rom.
There are not many I9100G roms out there, theres the Juffo Rom and the Dark rom for "ICS experience" if i am correct, someone can correct me on this.
** if a USB jig does not turn your phone on or boot into download mode... and your phone is powered off... you hard bricked the phone, and should go see a JTAG service to unbrick your phone.
Galaxy rom rc3 works great. Try out with Lucifr 1.21kernel.

Please help! Bricked GT - I9108

So I was helping my friend with her China Galaxy S2 GT - I9108 and I foolishly tried to flash "GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.0.2.3.tar" onto her phone through odin...
Now it's stuck at the yellow triangle everytime when I boot up. I've bricked her 500$ phone...
Please tell me anyone, how do I make it work again?
There are chinese methods apparently but I am not chinese.... I just wish someone could provide reasonably well written instructions and DL links so I can fix her phone! Please!
Since it is apparently a Chinese only model phone, I think you'd be hard pressed to find any English websites that can help you... Maybe some Chinese sites, with Google Translate? Not perfect, but it's something.
Try to find stock firmware and flash it via odin. Google translate can help you for chinese sites.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
Also, if this isn't obvious now... Don't flash any more i9100 kernels or firmwares. Only flash i9108 kernels or firmwares.
Stock?
I can't seem to find it anywhere! My brain aches from looking for the stock >< Please help? ): What would I need to do IF I found it?
Since I flashed a GT - I9100 tar file can someone link me to a tar file that is compatible with the GT - I9108?

Possibly, but don't use any of the firmwares linked within, as they are all for i9100 model phones.
Go to samfirmware.com to find stock i9108 firmwares. Download one from there, (you'll have to register but it's free) and flash using that guide. Again, don't use any files linked from the guide as they are not meant for your phone. But the steps should be the same.
EDIT: actually, don't use that guide. Just download an i9108 firmware from samfirmware.com, flash it in Odin in the PDA field, then do a factory reset. Then you should be good.
Yes Sorry, I fixed it haha
GT - i9100 haha
And okay I'll try that right now!

Don't worry about product code. You know you have an I9108.
The site is a tad confusing. You have to click the Firmwares tab, then click Type: Smartphone, then OS: Android, then Models: GT-I9108, then Region: Asia. That will get you a list of stock firmwares for the i9108.
Edit to add: Also, ignore the box at the bottom that says "LATEST FIRMWARES". If you notice, the models are all for a different model of phone; not the GT-I9108. The PDA for the I9108 should always start with "I9108".
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9108&r=-1#modelsa
I'm there! However theres none under the list O_O is it just my browser not loading the list? It wont show haha
Edit: NVM I forgot to click "asia"
edit 2: You reached your hourly traffic limit.
You can wait download for 13 minutes or upgrade to premium
Oh my goodness hotfile... ugh.
FYI, this may or may not be of interest to you.
I found this page using google that suggests that the i9108 uses the same SoC/chipset that the i9100G uses. Which is why you had issues when you used an i9100 kernel to try to root.
EDIT: well, you never explicitly said you were rooting, but you were flashing a kernel that had CWM Recovery in it, so I assumed you were rooting.

Was that before or after I told you to go to samfirmware.com?
And when you're trying download mode, you're doing it with the phone powered off, right? Then holding Vol Down + home, then pressing power till the screen lights?
Edit: PLEASE tell me you did not flash yet another I9100 kernel, even after I told you not to.

Before ): Yup I am...
Strangely the phone only turns on when I plug it into the USB cable
Apparently the power button is working fine when USB connected.... and it keeps restarting when USB is connected too!
Edit: Restarting seems to be just when plugged into computer... so i guess its driver stuff.
On wall charger its just stuck on the boot screen

Well, during one of the boot cycles while the plug is in, try holding vol down and home. Maybe you'll get lucky. OR take out batt, hold vol down and home, (keep holding) then put battery back, and THEN press power till screen lights.
If that doesn't work, you may need to try obtaining a USB jig. You can order them on eBay or construct your own. There are instructions all over google on how to do it, but they cost like $2-3, so I just bought one.
So since it still powers on and home button works the USB jig should work right?
And flashing to stock firmware using PDA option on Odin should in theory work right?
Can you reccomend a link for a good jig? Don't wanna buy a bad one.

Update Galaxy S2 with Kies...issue

Hi,
I have tried to update my galaxy s2 with Kies but the update fails

How can I replace the original firmware?
It was a Vodafone-it Firmware.

Your phone is perfectly fine so Don't panic. You have to use Odin to flash stock firmware. Ask some other member for help regarding Odin. As I have to go for some work. And specify your phone's model no. Must be on the sticker that is on your phone below the battery..

Open Odin
Load firmware file as PDA
Connect USB cable
First box in Odin should show yellow then hit start .
