[REQUEST]Stock Sense 3.0 QHD Skin with black clock widget - HTC EVO 3D

Hello All,
I am going to "try" and work out how to do this myself with m10tools and the fusion.apk but......
If anyone has already done this, I figure "why re-invent the wheel".
Basically I want the full clock widget to be 3d (for the seperation effect when scrolling homescreens) but for the flip tabs to be black and the numbers in them white.
I had this on sense 1 and 2.1 as can be seen from the attached screenshot.
Thanks in advance

if you ever need help themeing, go to the link in my sig.
as for the clock, there are a few skins on the market with incerted style clocks, there are also likely a few on xda as well.

Ok, here's how I am doing with this:
1. using m10tools and a CDMA fusion.apk (I was told the GSM one wont decompile) I decompiled the shared.m10 for the default skin.
2. I inverted each of the flip clock numbers and the flip background
3. I saved the file and using adb push while in recovery, pushed fusion.apk back to my device.
I have a successful black clock BUT, now when I try to view the Settings Widget, I get no previews. I can still see all widgets when using "browse all htc widgets" but no specifically when looking at the settings widget....
Please help..what else did I need to do apart from the fusion.apk?

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't want espresso style or quite as much of a change, I just am trying to invert the click colours and keep all else stock.

first try zipaligning the fusion.apk and see if that fixes it, but if not, it's possible that since you used a cdma fusion it doesn't have the same ID as gsm in your personalize menu.

I am using LeeDrOiD 5.4, can I take my actual fusion.apk or was I correctly told that this would not decompile?
I recompiled with m10tools and had provided the path to zipalign so I would have thought this was zipaligned when it was recompiled.

that's correct. I guess if you've done that and still have the issue, it's likely because you're using a cdma fusion? Do you get any useful errors in logcat?

I don't know, I have since restored a nandroid until Ican make more progress on creating this skin.
Honestly, I'd rather find some decent instructions on how to create a fully installable skin, like those we download from htc hub, and that would install in addition to the standard skins. If all I did to it was change the clock colour, so what, right?
If anyone can direct me to good info on this that isn't "no longer available" as it's on multiupload, i'd appreciate it.

(Req) Change Wallpaper on Weather Lock Screen?

Has anyone changed the wallpaper on the weather lockscreen yet? I know it has been done on the EVO 4G so guessing it can be done on the 3D as well.
I am just not a fan of the wallpaper they used for this lockscreen........
I have but it doesn't like it. The annimation start acting crazy and it makes the lockscreen almost unusable.

It would be pretty cool if we could.
Change the 3 background pics in the idlescreen_weather.apk to whatever you like. Make sure to resize your pic to 540 X 960. Put the .apk back into your roms .zip folder and flash. Don't try to install this .apk from your sdcard it won't work.
EDIT: Sorry, this only worked for me for a few hours. As soon as the background changed from evening to night the lockscreen became unstable. Still trying to work on it.
That's the same issue I had.

has anyone been able to change the weather lockscreen background on the gsm version?
all the idle weather apk for gsm dont have the background image. it seems to me for the gsm version it's in another file.
Please respond if you have a working weather lock screen on a gsm version.
this issue seems to be a gsm version issue.
I take it no one has a custom weather lock screen background image working?
If you do please share.

Here is the thread I learned from. It worked for me everytime I've done it. But I made all the pngs the same picture, so it doesn't change with night and day. I don't know if you can use 3 different pngs, because I haven't tried, but 3 of the same pngs works great.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1218927
First you need to make sure the pngs are sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile in your photo editing software, make sure all the pngs are upside down, and after you zip your file back up, you need to zipalign it example:
zipalign -fv 4 IdleScreen_Weather.apk IdleScreen_Weather-new.apk
delete the IdleScreen_Weather.apk and rename the IdleScreen_Weather-new.apk as "IdleScreen_Weather.apk" copy to System/app, long press to set permissions and reboot. works everytime.
Some that I did are below. If you see any black horizontal lines, thats from my screenshot app and not the Weather lockscreen itself.
Here's a link to a black weather lockscreen I made. The link also includes a screen shot for u too. Enjoy
FYI: your lock ring will not be changed. Meaning, the lock ring u currently have will remain that way even after flashing this.

UOT Kitchen works on the Amaze - for some things.

Observations:
I was skeptical at first because there are no QHD resolutions listed in UOT kitchen, but figured if I supplied the files, then it would maintain the resolutions in the files.
Must have all three files to upload for it to compile correctly...
1. SystemUI.apk
2. Framework-res.apk
3. com.htc.resources.apk
I've changed the battery indicatior, added statusbar icons successfully, and change the background to more transparent on the Notifications/Quick Setting pull-down. I've also successfully changed the lockscreen icons.
I'm having difficulties making the statusbar more transparent, however. They have a setting on the Status Bar tab, but it seems to have no effect.
I did try to manually adjust the transparency on status_bar_background.png in Framework-res.apk, but it didn't seem to do the trick. Is there another file that is used based on the Sense base?
Nope. Those are the files needed, one bit of advice though--triple check the operational file it uses.
I.E. For boot animation, use the CM file directory, not the suggested data/local. It may be something in the framework.res file that needs to be changed. UOT works for EVERYTHING, provided you make sure the operational file is correct upon submission.

Hmmm Sense(or any ginger for the matter) responds to the status bar B/G used in SystemUI.apk(drawable HDPI). And the images used on all the qHD phones from HTC use the same size for .pngs as their WVGA counterparts(some things are bigger, but not many), scaling seems pretty good AFAIK.

Found it! Giving that a try.
Thanks!
Trust me, it works. I cannot remember off the top of my head (bit drunk) but UOT works on just about everything. You need to double check where each enabled visual/operational is WITHIN your choice of rom. Then, you can triple check UOT's placement of the modified file.

Let me look into it when I get home...I might be able (time willing) download your current rom and cook it--or at least find where to zap the clock so you can do it to your liking.
My battery cooking turned out to cause a boot loop so no-go on that. I appreciate any help you can offer and let me know if there's anything I can do to make things easier.

The clock is in the service.jar.. The kitchen won't work for that mod.
okay, I think I'm starting to get more comfortable with this kitchen.
I've got transparent status bar, and modified status bar icons.
Now, I'm looking for some help with another graphic. I unlock my phone for use with a pin. I see lockscreen in UOT only seems to modify the icons and gesture styles.
Where can I look to change the color of the numeric pin keys?

It is imperative that you open your rom .zip and extract:
com.htc.resources.apk
framework-res.apk
SystemUI.apk
All are found within your particular rom package. Upload via UOT's upload page. That is how their kitchen knows what to change and give you an individualized .zip to flash. If you want an in-depth explanation, PM me and I would be happy to go through the whole process step-by-step. Once you get the gist, it is easy as pie.
As for the clock, yea...it is under services.jar and UOT does not change that. There can be another way to delete it, if I have time today I will try to make a flashable .zip for just the clock delete--unless someone beats me to it.
Yeah, I went through the UOT guide and video tutorial before I started working with UOT (I really do RTFM) and it still crashed out on me. I'll give it another shot when I have time available and I can get in.
As for the flashable zip, I'd love you long-time.

[req] Beautiful Widgets skin request.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out and make this Beautiful widgets skin for me or at the very least help me do it. They have changed the way they theme the SC now and the pngs have borders around them similar to a PNG.9 which I could edit, but these are just pngs, so I'm not sure what to do with it. I tried, but it didn't show up. Thanks in advance. Below is the thread the theme is located:

In the attachments is the background I would like, so you can get the colors right.

Alright, thanks. I already did all the pngs in the zip above called, SparkICSClockSkin.zip, but I don't know how to compile it. I already tried it regular, and I already put borders around it like a png.9 but can't get it to show up for nothing.
I also think I just found a Beautiful widgets dev kit. Check attachments.

did you decompile the apk or did you just extract? it seems you just extracted it thats why the .9 borders arent showing up....

I got it working, I just have to edit it to look a little better now, but you don't extract the skins. their just in a folder on the sd card in Beautiful widgets/skins/scskins, but They are compiled like png 9's but you don't have to run them through eclipse like you would for framework. I got it working by using draw9patch and then changinging it from a png9 to a png. then I rebooted and it showed up. just needs a touch up.

ok i guess what your way is just replacing the image files in it but they are originally .9s
but your way should work too
We're your able to come up with anything ?
I did replace them with png 9's but I just changed the 9 to just png like in the folder, bc I don't see the ext 9.png. But anyway, here is what I got, but you can barely see the blue border I made, because of the stretching, and I don't like the numbers or how close the number background is..

super clock theme
my first watcha think?
That's good stuff. I actually couldn't get it the way I wanted it on beautiful widgets, bc I hate how close the number backgrounds are when compared to real sense clock, so I made one for Fancy widgets. Here's mine. Original is on the left and mine is on the right.

New S memo backgrounds

I want some mew backgrounds for the S memo app but have had no luck searching for any. A transparent background would be ideal. Any idea of how to implement this or a note app that supports transparent PNG files?
Over pulled the S memo app and will decompile it shortly to find the backgrounds. It doesn't seem to save them elsewhere on the SD card. However I'm unsure how to go about making a transparent image.
A white image with an opacity too it, then saved as a .png.. Give me some dimensions when you pull the backgrounds and I'll throw a few different variations your way.

that one is cool. I'm planning on using a completely transparent background so I can mod a FancyWidgets clock skin with the numbers will be in my handwriting. I'll recompile and install once I get done with this nandroid
Wow, that's personalization to the max. Are you compiling a truetype of 1-9 or what? However you do it, please share. That'd be an awesome guide.
I intend on just replacing the 0-9.png files in the skin I'm using. If it works out I'll post it here with some screenies. Can you go ahead and make one with 100% transparency?
It's not working. I'll try using the other one you made with Andy and see if I can see the difference then.
edit. Nothing. I'm thinking that the images are used in a different way to make the backgrounds. I'll look into it more and see if I can come up with the answer.
The android one won't work. I believe uploading a png as an attachment on XDA will automatically render it as a jpg. If you figure out which files to revise let me know.
S Memo Background
Regarding color schemes, i believe dark colored notes like the one used in S Planner in handwriting mode will be energy efficient for amoled screen devices and will also look great and elegant on any screen (like when you put it as a widget in the homescreen). I think the handwriting screen in s memo uses a dark gray background with light gray gridlines and an aqua blue font/handwriting lines. This makes it look great and unobstrusive.
Just a suggestion.
Not sure if you guys are already doing this, but you have edit the .9.png files in the drawable landscape and portrait xhdpi folders You cannot just overwrite a .9 png with a standard png or it will not work. I suggest googling how to edit .9 png files as I'm sure someone out there can explain it better than I can.

[Skin]s Bluesky & Burgundy Made Red

Works with sense 3.6 ics roms, conrom, cleanRom, nils, ineffabilis v1.0
I was hoping someone already did this but I couldn't find it if they did.
I simply changed the png's, using coolstorybro_123's APK Manager 5.0.2, by removing the gb in rgb
because of that some of the skin isn't awesome(imo) and some (like the download bar) can be hard to see.
images ended up like dark redVelvet and some bright red (like in messaging)
You'll need to replace or place in system/app and change permissions to match.
Thanks to coolstorybro_123 for the tool and for making it simple enough that even I could do something with it.
I'm under the assumption these two are HTC skins.. I'm not sure who to thank for them.
I'd be pretty surprised if a skin could do any damage but if it does I'm not responsible.

There is a work around for some of the m10 files, if you turn these into a normal skin, you can incorporate a older version of a m10 into the skin, will be fully functional and can use m10 tools...
