I wiped everything, /data, /system, cache and dalvik cache.
Or maybe try wiping just cache and dalvik cache first and see if that helps, and then try full wipe.

It takes 5 mins
Try to flash again, 5mins its too long time. And Make sure about the wiping, you have to wipe data/chace and after go to advanced menu/ wipe dalvik chace. Try to flash first the beta 1 after beta 2,3,4....after it should be ok. by the way I had that same problem.

Just flash beta 8,
Procedure -
1)wipe data
2)wipe cache
3)wipe dalvik cache
4)flash the rom
5)wipe data again
6)wipe cache again
7)wipe dalvik cache again
8)reboot ;-)
Make sure you have latest baseband.
Do this!

Wiping 2 times is better.
Why wipe again when it doesn't even touch /data ? You guys think too much .
To see whether your phone is even booting or not try logcat
Ace-ing all tests.

Read somewhere wipeing twice is better -_-

dumb question but uh?

hey guys i wanted to know if i had to wipe everything when there is an update for a rom? or just wipe cache and dalvik?
thanks
It's a case-by-case thing. Sometimes you only need to wipe caches, but others you'll need to do a full wipe. Usually a ROM developer will note what you have to wipe when they post the update, so make sure to check.
You could always just do a nandroid and then try flashing after a cache wipe. If that doesn't work, you can either restore or do a full wipe and reflash the update.

I always factory reset. Wipe cache, then dalvik. Twice in that order. But you can get away with just wiping cache and dalvik. As most will tell you

Note that the MeanROM installation will wipe cache and dalvik cache for you, so no manual wiping is necessary actually.

When I upgraded Stock Rom with Goodies i didn't need to wipe the cache's, smooth upgrade.

Gps problem on cm9

My gps loses connection after like a minute of navigation, it regains it but then it fades in and out. This never happened on stock, any ideas?

No problems here....
I'm running the nightlies (July 25th) and haven't had the same problem. Did you wipe cache & dalvik before flashing? If you were on a different ROM did you wipe Data (3x) and then flash ROM?
I wipe dalvik and cache every nightly. I came from stock and wiped dalvik, cache and factory reset
