Try a full wipe /system /data and reinstall.. Did the trick for me when I had that in past.
GSM is not working
Some of them have a question about using a international sim… Infact i have the same question… i have flashed my phone with multiple different roms still i cant get my Vodafone sim to work majority of the times i get this error message “com.android.phone has stopped working” i am not sure if anyone has answer. But i would really appreciate if someone could help us with that error message. Thanks again
Clear catch, dalvik and fa Tory reset. Flash jokers 3.2 cm9 from and g apps. Let phone boot up to setup screen. Reboot into recovery, clear cache and dalvik, flash jokers 4.2.1 or 4.3 and reboot.
This worked for me.

I'm not sure what to do, this morning I went to settings, about phone and updated it.
When the phone rebooted it said failed to boot 2, starting RSD mode.
If I pull the battery it will boot up fine, but it auto shuts off after 30-45 seconds.
I'm totally new to these phones, I know my Friend "rooted" it for me and it has superuser.
I joined this site to ask for help thought, because I'm under the impressing it is the best.
If you can enter recovery mode (Google how to do it on your phone if you don't know) just wipe cache, then enter into advanced mode & then wipe dev cache, then reflash the current rom you were using before this happened. If this doesn't work follow the wipe steps again above & also do a factory reset then reboot & this may solve your problem?
Hope this helps

I had a similar happen to my phone what you are going to need todo is flash templates recovery and install a custom rim. This is what worked for me and you can find the instructions needed on the development forum.

Well I fixed it.
I used this link here.
h t t p ://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-1-5-7-ota-update-sbf#comments
Because I'm a newbie I can't post an actual link.
Thanks for the input guys.
It did put it on 2.2.1 I think I was on 2.2.2, at least the phone works fine now.

For some reason, my phone (droid x2) wont send text messages, make or receive calls or use mobile data connection. I tried restoring to an older rom, and even SBFing back to gingerbread and still nothing. Any ideas?
Edit: Found solution, SBFed again, and factory reset/cleared data. Admin can delete or leave for other users who have the issue.
Haha. I forget to wipe sometimes when flashing too haha

I did wipe when i flashed the rom though :/
I do a Courtesy flash when I wipe..
I just rooted and ran into the same problem. No service. Can y'all explain the solution? All the replies above me look like bathroom jokes.
You have to get your phone into recovery mode and select wipe Data/Factory reset
So I flashed CM9 alpha 13(after wiping) but can't get service to activate on my phone. Same problem I'm having with alpha 9. I use the activate button when it starts and it tells me it failed. Under "About Phone" and "Status" I can see that the My Phone Number setting is wrong so is the MIN.
When I call my carrier to manually activate, the short codes they give me to manually input this info do not work.
Anybody else had this problem?
Go into Sprint Zone, and try to manually activate.

Nevermind. That won't work. Sorry

Flash cm9 and reboot dont install gapps till after it activates
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
I will try this. Thank you sir!!
Ok, so I wiped... Flashed CM9. Rebooted. The activation call failed, so I called sprint to manually activate again. They asked me to punch in ##971912# which is supposed to pop up a dialog screen where I can manually input MIN etc but did not. Not sure what to do.
Flash back to a blur rom activate then reflash

Ok, I've got my phone up and running on Rocko's ROM. I'm doing a nand backup now. So, to be clear... I need go to my recovery. Data Reset and wipe dalvik cache. Then I need to flash CM9. I then need to activate(or make sure I'm still activated), and once that is confirmed I need to flash Gapps?
Sorry. I'm just trying to figure out where I went wrong the first time...
Try that, you're the first person to have issues so its a new issues

I had this problem as well. I've also bricked my phone flashing an electrify pudding by mistake on my photon. My fix after fixing my boot loader issues was: I reverted to completely stock. Then I called sprint and had to reactivate my phone. After getting everything working and having a secure connection for over a day I then flashed cm7 to make sure that would work. After it did I did a says wipe and wiped everything else. And flashed cm9 then went into recovery wiped and flashed again. Then I flashed gapps and boot up. After booting up I went back and wiped again. And then used the phone for about twenty minutes and wiped and flashed "all" again. It was a long drawn out process. But I have had none of the issues that people are having on the forum. Battery life is great after calibrating. 3G is almost as fast as the 4G I had. Never have a single reboot or battery pull. Wifi and Bluetooth bead on perfect. I'm new to xda but not development. I'd post my success in the forum, but I'm not yet at ten post.

I tried reverting to stock as outlined by qbking77 but every time I sbf'ed the file as instructed I lost my recovery. The 'Unlocked' notice disappeared as it was supposed to but once I did that I couldn't get any recoveries to stick, stock or CWM, until I "re-unlocked" the phone with that sbf. Even then I couldn't get the stock recovery to write properly.
I'm pretty new to all of this. I unlocked my Optimus S and tried a few ROMs on it before I settled on Reborn Rom, but that's about my only experience with these things. I'm not incompetent(I hope) when it comes to this stuff, but it's definitely a learning curve. I'd like to master the whole process though so I can delve into the dev side of things a bit.
Joker - Thanks for the help. I'm up and running with no problems.
What did you do?

A combination of what you and FanBoy suggested. First I wiped and flashed Rocko ROM. Got the phone to activate. Then I wiped. Flashed CM9. Wiped again. Booted up and verified service was active. Wiped again, Flashed CM9 again, wiped again, and flashed gapps v3.
I really don't know what the problem was to start. I originally tried to flash CM7 and couldn't get signal at all. So I flashed MIUI with the same issue. Finally I flashed CM9 and had signal but couldn't activate. So the problem wasn't tied to CM9, but I honestly have no idea what I did to lose signal/activation or to gain either of those back, but my phone does work now and I've successfully flashed both CM9 and Rocko without the loss of signal or service and have nand backups of both since my biggest problem originally stemmed from not having a nand backup of my latest working set up.
I think I hear the ice cream man!

Most custom roms disallow communication from what ever it is that allows you to activate with sprint. I noticed that porting in sprintzone.apk often doesn't work and you can't activate with the dialer because it requires communication with sprintzone. So you need to flash to a rom that allows activation and then work your way back up. Glad to hear you got it working.
Ok guys i need help. I figure maybe its related to bmm n not rom,so creating this thread outside the rom thread might help somehow. Sorry if its not.Here's the thing;
I tried flashing D-Wiz 3.0.1(just playing around since so many reports talk about its good batterylife)-i choose standard installation in aroma except i decided to try strong undervolting. It boots fine,i setup the fone a bit n suddenly it freezes.
Then i decided to flash again with standard undervolting option, everything done, then it didnt boot, its stuck at the colorful'X' logo for too long, then i hard reset using the 3buttons combo,i entered recovery, there i see'E:cant mount cache' n several error about cant mount cache.Whats its about? No big deal though since i restored my backed up rom but everytime i enter recovery, that msg appears. N fyi i always use 1st system. Latest bmm from market. Any idea please?

Re: (Help) BMM,error cant mount cache?
Its ok,problem solved by entering setting in bmm n deleting, setting up the rom slot again before flashing. Dont know what went wrong though.

I am not allowed to post in ARHD yet.
I am S-off
First time when I installed from stock rom, I did a full wipe, I had everything backed up so i formated everything.
Later when i got this prob, I reinstalled by doing dalvik and cache wipe.

I took complete backup and switched to stock rom. Will restore the backup and do the fix permission, I missed to do it last time. Will do this later in evening and let you know if it fixed the problem.

I had this issue as well. Are you using Faux kernel? That might be causing that or try to factory rest, wipe clean partitions delvik ...everything including internal SD. To be safe wipe twice. Also use ARHD super wipe. Then flash through recovery. Keep using the default kernel that comes with the ROM. Hope this helps.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using Tapatalk 2
Well I am not using faux kernel.
I think flashing latest gapps can help, but have no time to check. I am on travel this whole week. Should be able to check on weekend.

...or by wiping before installing, since you OBVIOUSLY said you didn't wipe.
